Yes, thicc, average, and plus-size girls are beautiful too, but telling me all about how skinny and flat I am hurts too, and saying slender girls aren’t pretty at all hurts too. Why do the bigger women have more screentime? Simple math: There are five women with a rather small size (0-8) but ten with a rather large size (10-28). Even if they give them all the same screentime, you will automatically see more of the bigger bodies.
Vaneska59 I think because back then in the early 2000s smaller woman were more “praised” and looked at then bigger woman, no in this age they are trying to I guess value bigger woman but actually there doing the same thing that happened in the early 2000s🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
Veneska59, thank you so much. You took the words right out of my brain. It's simple maths; size 0- 8 are the only small ones and are fewer in number so the bigger girls will be featured more. It seems people are getting less intelligent 😒
These are not all body types/shapes, some of them are just morbidly obese 😳 and that is never nice to see because it means they are unhealthy, and it is not caring or compassionate to tell them that this is a good thing to be celebrated, that’s toxic to me. Having the smallest size be to big, is just as disappointing as having the biggest size be to small. That’s my argument for anyone who believes she has no struggle.
Based on my own experience being smaller than a size zero, I buy clothes between the kid and teen section. It’s tough because I don’t want a t shirt that says “unicorn gang” or smthn like that bc it’s just not my style but it’s usually the only thing that fits 😂
What sucks is that the only girl who didn’t have a dress that fit her was the thinnest one. As much as it’s incredible to see larger sizes added to mainstream brands, it’s totally just as necessary to create appropriate sizing for really petite people. Not that I myself am particularly large or small at all (I’m a US6-8), but I just wish everyone would have clothes available to them that fit them how they’d like!
Petite is also very specifically cut, it's not just a case of being small framed - there are very long/tall women like myself at 5'9 and over who fit a size 6/8 uk: petite is made for small and short women so although they fit around the waist, they sit too high and/or too tight on the shoulders legs and hips. I've also found that tall cut clothes don't cater to the curvier side, and good luck trying to find high waisted tall cut jeans! Honestly, the best thing we could do is introduce sewing back into school... and make tailoring more mainstream.
@Charles Lyon In some cases, muscle builds up mass and increases size too. People can be that size and not be overweight or obese, not that it’s anyone’s concern anyways
my BIGGEST rule that I ALWAYS follow is never EVER talk about someone’s weight! If they are skinny, don’t say anything, if they are plus size, don’t say anything! And I also NEVER comment on someone’s weight loss/gain... you never know why they are losing/gaining weight. It may be because the have an ED, or they have an illness that causes weight loss/gain.
This is a great view. Although I don't bring up anyone else's weight, I am happy to participate in conversations about weight. Making it a taboo subject is also harmful 😀
I remember when I used to practice Taekwondo, the first thing that they told me was "you've gained weight" "you are fat" but actually I was kinda skinny (170 cm and 63 kg at the time) Now that I've retired, my mental health is better, I'm 176 cm and 75 Kg now but I'm losing my weight one step at the time. TY for the words ❤️
Hip dips are a natural part of your body that many people have. Even naturally curvy women, aka not the Kardashians, have hip dips. If you're self conscious of yours, I recommend you watch a video by Michelle McDaniel that talks about the truth about hip dips. Just look up Michelle McDaniel hip dips on UA-cam, and it should be the first video.
hip dips are because of you skeleton and having complete smooth, round and wide hips is without plastic surgery impossible. hips like kim Kardashian are fake af. And hip dips look way better then Kardashian hips.( In my opnion)so nothing to be ashamed of ^-^

I saw she was wearing black leggings and that’s why I noticed, but I know that the headpiece can be colorful and patterned. So now I’m curious, is the black essential? Or is it just personal preference and making sure to cover up overall? I just would like to be more knowledgeable on this.
@@amyturner2034 the black is not esential or anything like that. Its just a lot easier to find the right black scarf than any other ones and theyre often a go to because you can wear any outfit with them. Theres a joke actually about us hijabis wearing black no matter what, almost like we live by it 😂 For some women the colour doesnt matter but the idea of patters do because they want it to be as plain as possible which us often why a lot of niqabis stick to plain black and blues and so on(theyre also easier to find) . I believe its because they perfer not to add pretty patterns as they wish to not enhance their beauty but cover it completely. Theres also a hadith if im not mistaken where it describes a few hijabi women who were covered. I think it described them like black ravens so some women just enjoy following the footsteps of women of the past which is interesting. Hope this helps.❤
Children's clothes are way cheaper than our normal clothes. My mom and aunts wear kids clothing and kill it. I, on the other hand, am between a 6 and 8.
As a size 0, when I was pregnant last year and literally NO WHERE sold size 0 maternity clothes, I had to pay $200 for each pair of maternity pants that were specially made for my size. there were literally NO other options. So, does birthing a child not qualify me as a "Real woman" to these other stores? Or do I need to do something more drastic? Lol Guess I'll just be shopping at american eagle and hollister for the rest of my life with all the 16 year olds because I'm not "Real" enough of a woman to shop at Macy's. That's fair.
I hate the movement of “zero is not a size”. I’m all for accepting all body types, especially in the modeling industry, but it’s unfair to help boost up one size by bringing down another. I was very excited to see all sizes represented here. I’m naturally a size 00, have been since I was a child. It’s refreshing to see that every size struggles with clothes, even my size
Yeah I don’t understand why people hate skinny people so much. Like.. what? I’m sorry I was born with a fast metabolism and even if I try to gain weight I can’t.... and I’ve had people call me anorexic for being “too skinny”
For women who are super thin and Petite, it can be just as upsetting to not fill out a shirt or dress. Because instead of the "can of biscuits" effect you end up with "sad sagging." And both make women feel horrible. Everyone looks better in different things. Find what works for you and makes you feel better!
Bigger sizes have issues finding clothes. I bet you can walk in any store and find clothes off the rack. It isn't your fault but labels need to include more sizes. It is embarrassing to walk in a store and they tell you they don't make your size to go lose weight and come back.
The size 2 girl, kadija I think? She had sooo little screen time, and I’m clenching my teeth. This makes me so angry because people are happy for the big girls, but they aren’t ever showing support for small girls, and hate me all you want but I think they also targeted her because of the hijab. Not for nothing but thid solid color bodycon ONLY looks good IF you have a natrually defined waist. If not its not flattering and you need a bodycon with color blocking or a waist band to define your waist for you. Even on the women with defined waist tho, the solid color especially grey just is plain and needs to be dressed up with acessiories.

Why do the bigger women have more screentime? Simple math:
There are five women with a rather small size (0-8) but ten with a rather large size (10-28). Even if they give them all the same screentime, you will automatically see more of the bigger bodies.

Try Russian clothing sites!
Try asian shopping sites! Their sizes are usually smaller and the designs are pretty cute.
We have different sizes in my country and I'm like the 10 different sizes😂

@@amyturner2034 the black is not esential or anything like that.
Its just a lot easier to find the right black scarf than any other ones and theyre often a go to because you can wear any outfit with them. Theres a joke actually about us hijabis wearing black no matter what, almost like we live by it 😂
For some women the colour doesnt matter but the idea of patters do because they want it to be as plain as possible which us often why a lot of niqabis stick to plain black and blues and so on(theyre also easier to find) .

I`m also smaller than size 0 and seeing that girl look so beautiful it gave me hope that I can one day can look at myself as beautiful as well.
I’m really happy for you! You are beautiful and I sincerely hope you recognize that! ❤️
Sizes 0 and smaller are very common in Asia and not considered ugly at all!
Girlie.. you are beautiful :)

“I’m smaller than a 0” the most unrelatable thing I’ve ever heard for myself.😂😂
Same here😂😂😂😂😂I think 0 is more than me
I’m a size 2 but I’m 12. I’m skinny but not nearly as skinny as u. A size 2 is a size 12 in kids you you must be in a size medium if we were talking about kids bc you wouldn’t fit into adult sizes.
I’m a 00 😂
TsK ScOpE A size 2 is more like a size 14 in kids
I'm a size 0 + 8888 LOL
1:23 the girl that's less than a size zero is soooo pretty she could be a model😭🤩 she even has a great body shape
Actually, she is a model and also runs her own modelling agency.
Eghem. What body shape i just see rectangle

syntrish TM imagine being that self conscious that u spend ur sad little life on ur computer trashing girls ur jealous about. lol stop dragging people down, better yourself, no one needs negative people like you.
@@user-wb3jj7fv7h well there are many things wrong with this such as assuming that I'm on my computer all the time. oh and I'm not jealous of those girls since I'm a male. my life isn't sad at all and I'm not negative at all. and I got plenty of self-confidence . all I did was tell you what I saw in my eyes. and what I see in that girl isn't a body shape I never said she is ugly either
i can’t ever see myself wearing something so tight. not only because im insecure but also because i don’t want the negative OR positive attention. i just want to be a fly on the wall.. i don’t want anyone to notice me. i hate compliments almost as much as i hate insults. i just want to be invisible in many situations. :)
Same, I just want to fit in and not stand out, I never know how to handle compliments :/
@@lucy3837 The reason why im like this is probably because when i was 15 or 16 i went to a carnival wearing shorts and a crop top and the employees there started screaming slurs at me for wearing something revealing. Stuff that’s so vulgar that i can’t even repeat it. We went to the leader of the carnival and he said “i don’t think that women should show off their bodies but i don’t condone their behavior” and he gave me and my friends free stuffed animals. To say the least the apology was underwhelming. There was even a lady yelling at us and that’s kinda sad because she should’ve been on our side but instead she was probably jealous because we looked good. I may have looked 11 because im baby faced but what i wear shouldn’t be anyone else’s business. there was even a family there that got mad, probably because the dad was looking and the wife got mad.
@@bussinbees7064 Well, if you wear revealing clothes, it's because you want to show off. So I don't see how you can be upset. It's a bit hypocritical imo.
@@medmuscle i mean not really, i was just wearing something that i liked. I didn’t think anyone else would really pay attention to what i was wearing. Lesson learned though.
this.
skinny shaming is real guys people are naturally 0s and its really heartbreaking to read some of these comments
It seems like people can't be positive to two different sizes. They have to bring one down to uplift the other.
I noticed that too. It's wrong to bash fat people but saying the skinny people aren't real women because they dont have curves is ok.
And fat shaming
Visual Fiction my thoughts exactly.
Yea I’m a size 0 and it sucks when someone says eat a burger I can’t exactly gain weight with high metabolism
The girl in the hijab looks great, I would wear the dress styled like that
@Prince Nixon idk to me she did I'd wear that since I don't really like flaunting my skin
Honestly, Nixon, the participant wearing the hijab and the size 00 participant were the only ones who don’t look like they’re an opened can of biscuit dough.
You’re allowed to be attracted to that, but clean and even lines tend to be a perk in design.
@@ListenToStatic- Open can of biscuit dough? LMAO
No she doesn't.
She's amazing

Just now finding this video. And as someone who's a size zero, maybe even a double zero, thank you for showing that us skinny girls can wear tight stuff too. All bodies are beautiful, even if they're on the smaller or larger side
Skinny is attractive lol don't worry 😊
@@coryc8819 yes and fat isnt
i think looking good in a bodycon dress is more about fat distribution and shape than actual size.
London Loves facts
Yeah... It looks better when you have bigger thighs and smaller waist
Hapito everything looks better when you have bigger thighs and a smaller waist.... sigh
True which is why spanx are rlly nice like a full body thing would be perfect for body con dresses bc spanx isn’t just holding it in it also redistributes fat better and accentuates the good parts and moves around the less good parts

" Trying not to look like a busted can of biscuits " had me deaddd~!
How does size 6 look smaller than 4 and how does size 12 look smaller than size 10?
lara lara the way the fat is distributed around their body
It can be how tall they are
I think it probably has to do with how tall they are?
10 has quite broad shoulders and a smaller bottom and legs whereas the 12 has more evenly distributed fat
Bc of their height and fat distribution
Hate clingy clothes. Make me feel too exposed. 😅
I can totally relate. ..

If your smaller than a size 0 come to Europe or at least England because a size 0 here is a size 4
In Italy it would be a size 36, because they have an entirely different sizing system. In most European countries sizes start in the 30s.
Haha yeah I was thinking the same. The size 12 girl would be at least a 14 or 16
In Ireland US size 0 is size 4 but you wouldn’t see that in many places usually the smallest is 6 but they’ve started to bring it into more places but if you’re smaller than that you pretty much would have to wear kids clothes
Aliya Khatun-ali in asian countries too. I can easily find my size clothes in asian countries but it's too hard in USA that's why i normally do online shopping
TheGalactica2001 i don’t really think it would be a size 8 here in portugal
I LOVE that you guys included petite girls too! I am naturally a size 0-2, and I find that a lot of body inclusive videos start around sizes 4-6. So it was great to feel included! 🥰
it’s great you’re promoting body positivity for larger people, but smaller people get shamed too. i was bullied and called names like “skeleton girl” even one of my friends once said i looked anorexic as a joke, but i felt uncomfortable when she said it. as a skinnier person, it makes me happy when i see skinnier body positivity being promoted as well. i’m not trying to hate on you at all 💗💗
I was called noodle arms
Omg Im so sorry for that! My brother and sis have called me Skeletor to and I laugh with them but It actually rly hurts me! So yeah totally true ab seeing another skinny girls! It helps me to realize Im not alone❤️
they call me a stick or walking stick, and they compare my wrist to theirs saying "omg your wrist so small" and sometimes it hurts me but I just laugh it out
No hate but I think “fat” people like that as well and now that it has been a “trend” for so many years to be skinny people that weigh more are finally being accepted and I’m sure fat people are being bullied around just as much as skinny people are
I'm anorexic and once as a joke a teacher called me a stick, I just laughed it of and agreed but it actually really hurt.
1:42 rocked it the best. Some of the others bodies looked great in it too, but the whole look with the sneakers, hair and just the way she moves and her curves... that's why I like it on her the best

I actually think a different color would look better on these ladies. The gray color is too soft and it needs a little pop of color, perhaps a scarf with red or even a multicolored scarf.
I agree some of the larger women look like the wheel man
Agreed. Possibly the worst colour Glamour could have chosen. I love greys but this one is just such a meh tone. The whole point of body cons in my eyes is to make a statement, the colour should have some punch. That said, I suppose the bland colour means you focus on the actual fit and shape which works for the purpose of the video.
Right, the gray kind of looks like a tshirt not a dress.
@@trishab2147 Spot on Trisha! I was racking my brain to try and find a good description for it and you just hit the nail on the head!
I actually think all of them would look better in a red, black or dark green color body suit. The black would create a better silhouette for all of the women regardless of body shape.
At the end of the day I find each of these women beautifully brave to put themselves out there like this. I'm very humbled.
The whole time I was watching this all I could think about was accessorizing each one of these women including hairstyles, makeup and nails not to mention jewelry, etc....giggles
@@nlcrme Yeah! I want to see them in the same outfit but in bright pink with green and yellow dots and more sparkly. Wouldnt that look great?
so before anyone attacks me. yes big girls (and boys) should be able to love themselves and show themselves (if they want to)
but so should skinny people. skinny people were hardly represented in this video and had barely screentime.
I know! I’m skinny and It’s like People completely forget about skinny people and praise bigger people to make them feel better. That’s good but Skinny people deserve some sympathy too.
eat nuts, it helps, its healthy and you gain a lot of wheight with it
Robbe Geens I’ve been trying to do that for years and during those 2 years. I gained 2 pounds. I’m now 86. It’s extremely hard for me to gain weight I had my doctor try pressuring me into shots to slow my metabolism down.
Oh boo hoo. Skinny people can see themselves in literally every magazine, every tv show, every film, every red carpet, every runway, EVERYWHERE. Can you not let fat girls have ONE thing without whining about it? Not everything has to be about you.
Lindsey Corliss THANK YOU! All the comments are saying how this is bad because you can’t see the skinny girl but skinny girls are all over social media and in magazines. They just need to make sure that everyone loves skinny girls but maybe let the bigger girls have some empowerment.

I don't think they realize their personalities are shining thru and that's what makes them beautiful.
It made me so happy to see smaller girls. Nowadays, especially for black girls, it’s all about being thick. I’m not super thin and I’m not average, and tbh the face of beauty is no longer being skinny, especially on Instagram lol. It’s all about being thicc. I also feel as though every other skinny girl has a better figure than me. Like I’d kill for my shape to at least look like the size 2 girl.
GIRL I FEEL YAH
Its not trend in Eastern Europe to be thick at all. Only small amount of men here prefer thick girls and usually older men
iveta horvathova yeah it’s different in other places but must be talking about Americans, Jamaicans , etc
Race has nothing to do with this. Stop.
Asia Hill it does since years before “thick “ was made trendy black culture always liked
Bigger butts so the really thin ones (not average petite ) were always looked down on if you’re not black don’t speak on something you don’t know
They were all gorgeous but I could see the girl at 1:39 being a model for that dress it was STUNNING!

Where are the women with muscles?? I'm going to argue that the muscled female physique is far more ignored than plus size in modern beauty standards. Let's just leave skinny out of this particular argument because these comments about thin women not being given a chance are just hilarious. Athletic women get a lot of hate for our bodies being "too masculine" so if you want to be all inclusive in these kind of videos you need to represent us too
Liz M this video was about sizes not types of arms
And this comment about athletic women not being given a chance is hilarious. Give respect, get respect.
