The English Flag By Rudyard Kipling

Sitting in my English garden, waiting for the sun to shine.
Funnily enough the sun did shine.
So now I am sitting in my English garden the sun is shining & I see my English flag fluttering proudly in the English sky.
I thought that I had to record this moment & make it a poetic moment.
So after not much thought the only poem that can do the English flag justice is the poem "The English Flag" by Rudyard Kipling.
This poem was first published in 1891 in the St. James’s Gazette & the National Observer. Later that year it was also published in the Morning Post.
The poem is about the working class of England &
remembering that the British empire had been won at a great price.
All four winds at the cardinal points bear witness to this in the Greatest empire the world had ever seen. Also the expansion of the British hegemony overseas.
Each four cardinal points calling for English people to ‘Go forth and do their bit.’
But that was then, today is where we are now
But nothing much has really changed about the English people, working class people, the silent majotity.
We are still working class and are still the majority, the silent majority in this great country of ours.
Since this poem was first published so many people from all over the world have settled here in England. They are proud to be English no matter what colour, creed or religion they are.
But today more than ever we all must unite as the British/English citizens that we are.
The 4 nations of the UK should be uniting as one.
Today more than ever as
we are facing some dark, evil & corrupt forces want to devide us to conquer us.
Together we are strong, divided we will fall. We will fall into an abyss like lambs to the slaughter.
