3:15 - It took me _two freaking months_ to finally realize the reason they give their Pokemon the same names was so they could tell at the drop of a hat which ones were linked, so they wouldn't release the wrong 'Mons by mistake.
It's a soul link rule, and yes, that is why it's a rule, is to identify the combos on sight.

Her red would be most likely Metagross for Pikachu, everything else is Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Giratina-O, Arceus-Flying.

The mewtwo victreeble called shuckie is the gifted Shuckle you get that's always called Shuckie
To explain Cradily--it's a sea lily, a kind of sea creature closely related to starfish, sea urchins and sea cucumbers (so I guess Cradily would be related to Staryu/Starmie, Pincurchin and Pyukumuku? That would explain a lot...). The things in its "mouth" are in fact its eyes with the ones on its head being decoys and the things around its head are tentacles.
And one thing I really like about Cradily/Lileep's design is how Lileep is purple while Cradily is green, just like how early plant life on Earth was purple, but then turned green when chlorophyll turned out to work better than whatever the plants used before.

It's also strongly designed after a still living animal (kinda) called a Crinoid. Basically they're brittle stars that grow like sea-fans.

I can still remember my first time playing Silver back in the day. When I fought the rival for the first time it said his name was ??? and I never clocked that meant that I could name him whatever I wanted, so when the police asked what his name was... I told them that it was ??? and spent the rest of the game wondering why they gave him such a weird name.
I did the same as a kid, omg.

It’s so insane how characterized the Pokémon act in the animation its so entertaining
In any nuzlocke that a torterra or turtwig is involved, they always kill all the good stuff by accident. Also Cradille is such a slept on pokemon
Ikr. When I was going through my Alpha Sapphire Nuzlocke, I originally wanted the Claw Fossil but at the same time thought that was unfair and that I had to flip a coin, but then worried if I would be in trouble by having Lileep instead of Anorith.
This lead me to do a little bit of research on Lileep and Cradily and compare their stats, movesets and type matchups to Anorith and Armaldo. And suddenly, I started to grow more interested in the Grass fossil than the Bug one.
In the end, I decided not to flip a coin at all, and instead I just chose the Root Fossil. Best choice I could ever have made.
Lileep is so much easier to keep alive and on the team than Anorith until it evolves. I even used Lileep in the Flying Gym and it was no trouble for it, even though it was unevolved. And turning into Cradily just made it more powerful!
So bulky, hits surprisingly hard and has some good special moves to go with its good special attack stat, and learns Energy Ball by level up which is not something a lot of Grass types do.
I don't really plan to specifically use it in the League, but I'm bringing it along anyway just in case something happens to my Blaziken, Manectric, Walrein, Ninjask or Sableye, all of which I have plans for in the League.
I replaced my dead Gardevoir with Sableye after she got killed by a Trainer's Darmanitan in Victory Road.
Sableye was my best bet for a replacement, even though he's got Stall for an ability. So I just maxed out his Defense and Special Defense, putting the rest into HP so he's a tank rather than a hard hitter, since he's always gonna go last.
I also love Ninjask and actually pretty much solo'ed the rest of my first Alpha Sapphire run with one after getting it and even boxed my other starter Blaziken. In this Nuzlocke, I solo'ed Norman with my Ninjask and even had it tank two of his strong Slaking's Chip Aways (healing in-between) as I had run out of Digs by then.
And I used my Shedinja to catch Kyogre easily.

24:04 in the non randomized version, you get a gift shuckle named "shuckie" and that shuckle randomized to victreebel and mewtwo
as an artist myself, I can confirm that it takes a while to make at least one frame, and that it takes pretty long to fully make an animated video
and yet jaiden puts these out pretty fast despite the latter, I'm impressed
It really makes me happy to see an artist like you react to her animations. Instead of focusing on only the nuzlocke itself, you actually appreciate her animation and art skills

21:08 I lost my starter, TJ the Grovyle, to a Gyarados during my first Nuzlocke. It made the run really dramatic up until the end. I ended up really caring for my early route Pokemon-- Stiles the Mightyena and Comber the Breloom, as a result. Getting those two to the Hall of Fame when TJ couldn't was the best way I could honor his memory and those of all the fallen teammates I journeyed with along the way.
You could say TJ had the same thing happened to him like that Grovyle in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorer's of Sky... 😎 Lol!
Joking aside, yeah I feel that I had my Flood aka the Peras for one of my first encounters! Which later evolved and had her to put mons to sleep with the OP move Spore * I was playing Yellow and since it was Gen 1 sleep was even more broken lol, exstream randomizer *
Then The Flood got critical hit by a Persion Slash in the 8 Gym...
It was so ruff... The Flood helped me so much in putting mons to sleep, helped in a lot of tuff battles got me thourgh so so much and then died when I was heading to Victory Road, to the Elite 4 and face off with the champion...
It was soul crushing but I pushed on word for The Floods sake! QwQ
this makes me not wanna do a nuzlocke, i fear that i will end up crying at the first gym
Jaiden always thanks her team in her animations. She has help with coloring, finishing, etc. nowadays.
And honestly, without them, she wouldn't be able to get stuff out anywhere near as frequently as she does, as it would take so much longer if she had to do all of that by herself.
i like how this is more a review on the artwork than the gameplay

Cradilly is an ancient sea carnivore plant if i remmember correctly. The real eyes are the ones in the black mouth and the things around its head are tentacles it uses to hunt.
I also love how Lileep is purple while Cradily is green, referencing to the theory that early plant life was actually purple and then eventually became green when chlorophyll came into existence.

Since it's a 'random' Soul Link, the coding in the game that make the Lake of Rage Gyaridos an automatic shiny works for the random Pokémon that you encounter in its place.
I watched this without having seen jaidens video first and...well, living it through you turned out to be an amazing experience. I feel like we watched it toghether and i loved it. Also your reactions are always awesome to witness 😂

Also they didn't find a random shiny that's the red Gyarados encounter which is programmed to always be shiny so anything it gets randomized to will be shiny.

That pair is called "Shuckie" because they got it from that dude in Cianwood who normally gives you a Shuckle, with the nickname Shuckie. I guess the randomizer didn't change the nickname on the Pokemon.

Shuckie is the nickname of the Shuckle the dude in Cianwood gives you. Mewtwo and Victreebel is what the Shuckle randomised to.

Hi Moxie. I fist found your channel a while ago form Jaiden's Platinum Nuzlocke, but then I started leaving the animation realm of youtube. Now that I have come back, it is bringing back memories, of when you had only about 5K subs. I am glad to be back, and congrats on your sub count
Jaiden is a GOD TIER animator and storyteller. That's how she can pump out content like this, day in and day out. Also, Pokemon Challenges reacted to the same video. Aside from his name being mispronounced, he seemed pretty flattered by the idea.
The Victreebel/Mewtwo combo was the Shuckle gift in Cianwood. The Shuckie name is forced.

I have watched a lot of "Poketuber reacts to Jaiden Animation" videos and I think you're the first one who appreciated both the gameplay and the tiny animation quirks that make the videos special.
Btw, the Mewtwo/Weepinbell pair was named Shuckie because they got it as a gift in Cianwood, so it must have been from Kirk who normally gifts a Shuckle named Shuckie there, and you can't change the name of a gifted pokemon I think. I am like 90% sure the weird face on the Azumarill is from Courage the Cowardly Dog but I can't be sure. I know I have seen it before and that's the closest I could think of.

Yes agreed! So many will gloss over or just not react to the small (usually funny) details she adds in her animation choices and it will drive me crazy! But Moxie always catches them and reacts or compliments the way Jaiden chose to portray what just happened

The Missingno censorship was hilarious to me. I watched another reaction video before and he pointed it out. That was cool. Then I watched P Chall's reaction, which of course I was waiting for him to point it out. He made no acknowledgement of that scene. I was kind of disappointed out of all things, he didn't really pick up on certain things. Such as the Death Note. She is funny but her animation is what makes her videos. Therefore, the small shit should never go unacknowledged.

well, pchal focuses more on the technical side of the nuzlocke, being a professional nuzlocker himself. whereas moxie, being an artist, would obviously place richer input on the animation. that’s why it’s fun to watch different reaction videos! each one will have their own niche :)
@@tofu7975 that's true and all, but PChal is pretty entertaining with his reactions to things. I didn't watch the other video by choice. After I got done watching this video, I let it auto play the next suggested video. There is only a few channels I make sure to like every video and also make random comments on the videos just for the algorithm. 🤣 But I do get he is focused on other portions of the video, like the whole reason he makes the videos.

I've watched alot of people react to this nuzlocke, but yours is definately my favorite. Pause all the scenes and point everything out because she puts so much into every little scene and joke and wise crack that they all deserve to be pointed out. I still believe that are little things in the background that I have missed even though I've seen this so many times. It's just so much fun and so funny. Watching this with you is a blast and I can't wait to see more of your nuzlockes and you watching Jaiden's. Honestly. I would love to see you and Jaiden do a soul link someday. Instead of just the end videos I would totally enjoy listening to you two bounce ideas off of each other because you have good taste in art and comedy. ^^
