I’ve always said that the earliest we are likely to get my KH news is after Rebirth. After the two next big Square releases are out, the first being 16.
That’s what I have been saying we can get 4 sooner maybe late this year or early 2025 since after rebirth square barely has any big games besides KH4

I know that. I was saying there are 2 big releases for Square, and we were never likely going to get more KH IV news until after they were out. 16 was first, that came put last year in July. Rebirth is next at the end of Feb. @@Princeofunderworld32
My expectations for more KH4 news is after FF7 Rebirth. It just makes more sense to me to set my expectations after that game is out and over with.
I honestly we’ll see _Kingdom Hearts IV_ news content this year and I expect the game to come out by late 2024/early 2025.
The trailer that was shown at the 20th Anniversary event back at 2022 looks to be way advanced in development along with the fact voiceover being added (which usually are the final things during the development of a game) and that the KH3 models and assets created in UE4 are being reused for KHIV in UE5, I see them going through a smooth development. So I have a hunch that development for _Kingdom Hearts IV_ started since late 2019 to early-mid 2020.
I hope you and your strong copium are doing well. 4 months later and still no KH4 news. We know that it won't even show up during SGF, and you still think KH4 will come out late 2024/early 2025 ?? It's painful to be a KH fan but it's even worse to be you...

hot take, I think the gap between kh3 and kh4 is much worse than kh2 and kh3's gap. this fandom loves to complain about how long kh3 took but between the two numbered titles there was days, coded, dream drop, birth by sleep, fragmentary passage, union cross updates and the back cover movie. Sure they're all portable game/movies but I would much rather take a ds game over a mobile gacha game. Dark road was more watered down game play wise than union cross and melody of memory only had 30 minutes of actual content. Please do not get me wrong, I adore what those two games did for the story but I'm really disappointed that we just have another mobile game to look forward to. as a passionate kh fan i am struggling to stay interested in the series until 4's release. i wish missing link was at least playable on the console ;-;
I’m 200% with you. We had plenty of games to hold us over between KH2-3 as much as fans complained like you said. But this gap has been stranger compared to how we had it then. Fans were complaining before KH3 was even announced. Sure KH4 was announced earlier than any of us ever expected, but what we had since? Just Missing Link. Melody of Memory before KH4 got announced granted. I would be all over Missing Link if it wasn’t mobile. But overall all I want is KH4 news. I can even settle with more none numbered games if it’s traditional game systems.
@@MrGamer07100 You would not hear a single complaint out of me rn if missing link was an actual title for console. Missing link is so disappointing to me too since the scale and graphics to me easily would pass for a console release, yet it's stuck on mobile (not to mention how long it has taken). If they were releasing games like they did last arc we'd probably also have a 15-20 hour veum rex game too lol. But the reality is nomura is working on 5 projects at once, gacha mobile games are in, and actual games take much longer to produce nowadays. I don't wish to criticize the team tho 😞👊 I'm sure whatever they're cooking is great
@@avapark9948 Yeah. It’s a different era we live in. And different set of circumstances. At least fans are happy with the mobile game for the story. Missing Link is the most appealing game for pushing the specs. But I’ll just be watching Missing Link story videos from fans in the meantime. Mobile games just don’t have the same grab for me. It is what it is for now. Everyone knows the real hype begins when more KH4 news drops. I’m not clambering for a KH1 remake, but I won’t be surprised anymore if we were to get it. And would realistically loose my mind with excitement if it were to happen. Lol But I’m simple to please with this franchise. If we somehow were to ever get a playable remake of Days or Re:Coded I suppose, that alone would more than hold me over.

If Missing Link gets some cool superbosses sometime in the future then I might try it out on an emulator if I can, otherwise I can't and won't play it.
I'm not about to by an entire new phone just to play a gacha game lol, I'll Just watch cutscenes.

I’m kinda getting fed up with these long dry spells and having to wait for Final Fantasy to do its thing before we can get Kingdom Hearts stuff. Especially since all we’ve been getting was mobile garbage and a stupid rhythm game.
Sadly, until FF7 Rebirth, Square Enix won't do any KH4 news. They're likely lining it up to be their next big thing cause FF17 will likely take quite some time. Worry not about how long it'll take, the strategy that was used for FF7Remake and Rebirth is the same for Kingdom Hearts 3 and 4. They remade the assets for our new HD/4k/+ world and especially with Quadratum likely using touched up/revised Versus XIII assets, we'll get KH4 soon! Now, if anyone wants to worry, it's for KH5. As while the assets are there, we're probably getting Verum Rex after. That's all fine with me, given how long I waited for Versus, hence I'm a bit annoyed with FF7 sucking out the air...but soon, just need to be a bit more patient. We'll be rolling in news and speculation will flow...right into an early 2025 release 😭

I guess there’s always the potential that they do some kind of announcements later this month for KH3’s 5th anniversary, but I wouldn’t hold out for that. I do think we will have something more substantial about KH4 before the 2 year anniversary of the KH4 reveal trailer comes. If we don’t get anything by then, then I think KH fans have the right to be upset about the complete lack of communication

I'de be super impressed with Square if they pulled that off and you never know rebirth is likely done at this point so Nomura has the rest of this year to work on 4. Maybe 4 still needs another year after this one, buuut it could also be half finished I'm just saying.

Kingdom hearts needs to die before it lives long enough to become a monetized villain.
I'm predicting that we'll for sure get missing link this year and maybe get a teaser or two with a release date by the end of this year.

Nomura San did say that once ff7 pt2 is out and done they will be focusing on nothing else but kingdom hearts content and updates so I think 2025 is a good year for release

@peterhanson3472 2025 is a good bet that's 6 years after 3's release and three years since the first trailer announcement meaning that's plenty of time to have alot of progress on 4.
its insane to me that i ll buy kh4 to play it with my son....i was a teen when i got kh1! i kno that its a meme to clown on nomuras writing(the dude goes insane if they give him free range) but i love kh,the good and the "bad"!i hope 2024 will be a great year for kh fans

Not a snowball chance in hell. We have never had 2 back to back new storyline kingdom hearts games in one year. I get that ML is a mobile game. But it doesn't matter. It's still part of the story so it counts
2023s radio silence proves we are definitely not getting it this year. Nomura wants everyone to focus on ML if he released both then he knows most people will just skip it

I'm sure the story content of Missing Link will hold me over, personally. But I do hope to hear something about KH4 this year.
Once FF7 Rebirth comes out at the end of February as well FF16 DLC releases, we will get some news about KHIV. I honestly think Nomura and his team were focused on releasing Rebirth, that's why KHIV was kept in the dark.

I do think we’ll get more information on kingdom hearts 4 once final fantasy 7 rebirth comes out. That’s what the general consensus seems to be right now.

All I want is Kingdom Hearts HD Collections on Steam. I know that sounds like a weird desire, but l only have a Switch and a Steam Deck. That’s being stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to platforms to play Kingdom Hearts on.
I got a steam deck recently, and I'm in the same boat. Put them on Steam, dangit!
That said, I've been having good luck running the PS3 versions of I.5 and II.5 in PCSX3, even using my own dumped copies of them. There are also some fan translations of 1 and 2 Final Mix out there for PS2, as well. The Epic Store versions KIND OF work through Proton, but the pre-rendered cut-scenes don't work, which is a bummer.

I was 4 when Kingdom Hearts 1 came out.
I was in 2nd grade when Kingdom Hearts 2 came out.
I finished highschool and started to become an occupational therapist after working as a paramedic for a year when Kingdom hearts 3 came out.
Since then I got a boyfriend, moved with him twice, finished my exam, worked for over 2 years in my job and hope that Kingdom Hearts 4 comes out before I get married. Let's see what happens first.
