Yeah hopefully there’s a riku sub plot with them as party members cuz somethings gunna feel off, if they aren’t in the game we atleast need new party members
Even though I imagine KH4 will focus a lot with its original stories like KH3 did, I really hope they include Final Fantasy characters, even just as a small supporting role. The usual familiar faces would be nice, but I would really love to see the cast from XIII to be included.
I could be wrong, but i think Quadradum is meant to be Sora's escape. He's still a kid, one that was thrust into a role far beyond his standing. He admittedly adapted as we expect a hero to, but he hasn't developed in several senses. KH3 showed us that, when Sora admitted, he really didn't understand the concept of love. He knew what it meant to care for someone, but the actual terms and feelings weren't something he could say he understood. That's... odd for someone who has SAVED existence a few times. He's had the wonderous adventure he longed for all that time ago on Destiny Islands, but sonething the games taught us is that after a while, he wanted to reunite him, Kiari, and Riku back home. He wanted, at some level, to return to normalcy but was duty bound to serve the cause or watch what he cherished fall to darkness. He went as far as sacrificing himself for their sake and, as a result, never got to go back to that beach with his childhood friends. He never got to learn or experience real love.he never got a normal life. He was a hero with no happy ever after to speak of. I think it's telling they pulled a story writer from FF13 for KH4. They was a lot of speculation. Sora's crystal state looked a lot like a L'Cie cystal adter a completed focus. That.... feels like an oddly accurate comparison to Sora in the greater scheme of things. He was a pawn in a greater game destined to serve a role or perish trying, a soldier sent to war but never expected to make it home. He completed his Focus, but it cost him his life. Yet, Yazora swore that he would "save" him, implying he knows something of Sora's fate. What if Sora was brought to Quadradum to experience what he deserved as a hero but never got; a normal life without the chaos that shook his world to begin with. Sora has never had a base of operations. His life has been too chaotic to establish anything like that. The wording implies that the apartment is really a haven for him, a constant respite he returns to in his daily life. Quadradum, as the "base hub," implies the area is safe, and venturing to other worlds only to return gives the feeling it's home, again, something Sora has constantly been away from. The game is set up to really be a journey of self exploration, where Sora greatly develops, without the need for his usual friends to push him along the way. He struggled with his confidence at his own abilities when separated from his allies in KH3, showing he still lacks the personal strength of character we expect of a seasoned hero. Sora may well return to his friends at the end of this game as a more mature version of himself. Not unrecognizable from the loving goofball they know, but one now more grounded and wise in his actions and goals through his newfound understanding of life.
Yoo i hope that even a tiny amount of your theory comes true. Sora honestly has a lot of potential to be developed as a character and it´s a shame it hasnt been explored more. Hopefully there will be room for it in this title.
The “base of operations” kind of reminds me of FFXV in which perhaps at night, the difficulty goes up. So it’s advised to return to base every so often
I feel like quadratum is going to be like the traverse town or radiant garden. Where we are there as a hub, then do stuff and go to other worlds but keep coming back to shabuya to progress the main story
Nomura is such a troll for the Shibuya turning out to not be the same one from TWEWY. At the same time, that opens the door for new possibilities and more new characters to keep us surprised.
@@ZenSymphoniaI think they still could have easily been implemented. While Joshua doesn’t have as much reason to intervene now you can still say KH4 Twewy could have been a parallel world. Just how the Tin Pin and Neo worlds are. My head canon is that KH DDD Twewy Is also them from a parallel world. According to Joshua, one they originally lost.
The way the room is called "base of operations" actually gives me vibes of Persona 5 where Sora has a hangout or hideout where he stays at night and you can plan out what you want to do during the day
the fact that he said, "day to day activities" gave me so much hype..a persona type of vibe with daily life, and sora becoming a student at school to blend in just to save worlds when he's out of school..ah MAN I CAN'T WAIT
One of the many issues I had with KH3 was that it spent too much time looking ahead to KH4 and beyond and not enough time wrapping up the Xehanort saga. For KH4, I hope Nomura spends the time to explore this new saga and set up the new villain/story arc without constantly looking towards KH5,6 etc. Spend the time to actually explore the new characters and worlds without rushing it.
I wouldn't say too much time looking ahead, aside from the ending segment almost everything was filler. They need to actually have a balanced progressing narrative. Not that for the last 15 hours you actually had the power all along and the entire quest was pointless. They need to not make this mistake again.
What KH3 spent too much doing was just doing random Disney stories that had nothing to do with the main story besides "Oh, someone from Org XIII is also here just for fun", (yes even original stories like toy box and monsters inc were a waste of time imo). I would much rather that the Disney worlds were just a setting where the main story takes place instead of being about the characters of that world
The thing with reaction commands is yeah they make certain things easy, but I love how flashy it is. That xemnas final boss just wouldn't be the same without them
Im predicting the first 7 days in KH4 is going to work like TWEWY. It will be similar to the reapers game but not the reapers game. Our black coats acting as the Reapers, Strelitzia as your partner, Riku similar to Joshua and maybe Yozora similar to Beat or Shiki since he seems to be having some sort of identity issue. Each day finishes and you pass out then wake up in your room next day. Just a guess. Also fun fact in Neo:TWEWY the main character plays a GPS mobile game which seems like Pokemon Go but could have also shown Nomura was already thinking about Missing Link.
Sounds like this set up could also be a nod to the “days” mechanic in the KH2 intro sequence with Roxas. Would be a cool reflection with Sora in the “not real world” this time around
They have to at least keep doing things with Ventus and Lea. Ven still needs to get his memories back, reunite with Lauriam, and address his history with Strelitzia. Lea (and Isa) still needs to find Subject X and figure out how she fits into all of this. Maybe they won't touch on it in KH4 specifically, but it will have to be addressed at some point. Maybe they could do a "spinoff" title or two.
I hope the director knows that most fans see kh as a crossover between ff and disney. Thats why so many people were pissed about the removal of ff characters in kh3. There absolutely NEEDS to be atleast a handful of them in kh4
To be honest, there is no way a meandering plot like that can go on for an entire game. The only way it can work is if it is structured like Roxas' story from KH2. Have Sora reuniting with everyone be the tutorial section so that we can get with the actual plot Numura's been slow cooking these past 8 years.
@@kevinbell5674 it sort of can be like u need to travel to different worlds within this realm to collect something to get out of this realm or learn a new ability and riku is trying to find sora within this realm as well and then the masked guys are there to prevent that from happening
@@kevinbell5674The reason I think it works is because KH3 wanted us to believe that misusing the power of waking was a big deal. If they can rescue him within the prologue of the game then it would take away from how big of a deal it really was. It’s not going to be easy to get him back, that’s the point though.
One important thing to note is that they directly called it "The Real World" when referring to Quadratum. (When explaining the limitations of having it be more realistic.) Also, a fun thing about the name "Quadratum" is that it could be sort of translated as "Four ratified", which could be interpreted as four worlds married together. Ratum being latin for ratified, a word used in marriage; and we all know how much they love to use latin in KH and Final Fantasy.
Unpopular opinion but I enjoy the combat in every single kingdom hearts entry, save for the card one on gb, and I also like how each game has distinct differences. I think kh3 was amazing because in felt like it blended all of the previous games in its gameplay, a true finally to the saga.
Maybe it's just me but since they basically teased a Star Wars world I get the feeling the Disney worlds are probably going to be based on live-action movies that Disney acquired rather than stuff they originally made, to fit with the whole theme of Quadratum and the "fictional worlds," to truly make it more different than the previous games that featured classic Disney movies. So, like, imagine if alongside Star Wars we also got worlds based on Indiana Jones, The Chronicles of Narnia, Avatar and The Avengers.
I was cool with sephiroth not being in it cause his story was wrapped up in kh2 but man oh man i was hoping for a secret super boss fight with Gilgamesh. I could see him coming out of a portal and spotting sora's keyblade and immediately declaring that he wants to add it to his collection.
I have a feeling that there will be some level of Riku and Kairi playability in KH4, and perhaps that's where Disney worlds and party members will be featured. If Sora stays in Quadratum for most of the game and we get to explore it a lot, I'm totally ok with that.
If they’re getting a writer that was involved in FF13 for KH4, that further leads me to believe that the cast of FF13 is at the top of the list of FF characters that could be featured. Since FF13’s cast had a very urban look to them (even if their universe was far too futuristic for a real world setting), they could easily fit into a more grounded setting based on irl Tokyo more so than characters like Cloud or Sephiroth. Nomura also commented that he likes choosing FF characters that he personally designed, which is why we haven’t seen characters like Zidane featured in KH.
Yeah, all we can guess about is that anti form is that it gets released from sora's greed for power, and for rage form, seeing the name it's probably sora's rage that's hidden inside his heart.
Normua mentioned that his Rage Form is being use when Sora is under extremely stress. So, that would be nice if he have a story to explain how much burden he carried even through he knew that he carried his teams in endgame (KH3)
I hope with fewer disney worlds there will be more for the characters to learn from or interact with in an interesting way. Dark road handles visiting different world so amazingly that I'm shocked it was the same series. They don't have to be serious lessens or anything but I would like them to feel less like filler, and if that can't be the case make more original worlds to add to these characters, make more slow and well thought out moments so we can latch onto them. Also, more Yozora. More Yozora is a good thing.
We need to know more about the Story. We already know its going to focus on Sora's disapperence but there has to be more that is going on. I recall it showed that Master of Masters was making a heart shape and how Luxu brought back the Foretellers and he has acess to the black box.
@@SoraFan23 No we don't. We know it has mobile game characters in it, we know Sora is in "unreality", and we know Riku/Donald/Goofy is looking for him and Kairi is gonna train with Aqua. We can bet on Yozora and the Foretellers at least making an appearance too. That is more than enough information before actually playing the game. They spoiled KH3 with several trailers, they do *not* need to do it again. I understand that KH fans have been starving but I promise the game is gonna be so much better when you don't know what's gonna happen.
Just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you should. I’m probably in the minority in saying that I would prefer that Square spend less time worrying about graphical quality and producing an atmosphere of “realism” and aspects of “day-to-day”. I want a solid and clean story that isn’t so convoluted so that I can enjoy it. I hate how Nomura basically kept trying to one up his own story by including different story beats like time travel and over-complicated themes of the heart and its power. Focusing on a story element and perfecting the story and characters with twists, relationship building, WORLD BUILDING would’ve made KH3 a GOTY candidate.
The extensive dives into time travel I can get. However the core theme since 1 has literally been about the Heart, identity and how it's also the ultimate source of strength despite it's fragility. On the other hand I can get what you mean. For me, having a stable road and leaning away from being overly indulgent in the villains 'Mystery' factor I believe can play the highest benefit to KH. It suffers heavily by a touch of this, and also appeasing too much to fan wishes. (Such as Axel still being alive.) Getting some tempering done with his current creation and it's potential would have it popping off. At the same time, with seeing how Missing Link (and the KHUX point in general) is panning out, it does have me worried. That issue of trying to make these ~incredible~ wind ups, only to see how 3 turned into a checklist of points to meet at the endgame, is a thing that heavily needs to be avoided.
That part in KH2 in Hollow Bastion when you fight with FF characters was top 3 peak moments in the whole series imo. Half the excitement of a new KH was wanting to see which FF characters will show up next.
I really like this interview. Nomura seems to respect players even though he might disagree with them. Another director in his position would have despised and laughed at the fans because they misunderstood the FF characters relevance. Or the reaction commands complains when introduced and later complains when removed. Nomura seems to have clear ideas about where to take the franchise but he also acknowledges player desires
Nomura is stubborn which is pretty cool and is needed sometimes (During FF7/8 he sometimes heavily pushed certain ideas, which ultimately turned out well. Limit break, Aerith death, balamb garden etc). On a personal front; while KH4 does look promising, I'm still on the fence. KH1/2 we're fun, 3 however.... not my cup of tea.
It’s not so much having the FF characters but more so finishing what you started. Leon and the gang had their home wrecked because of Xehanort so they are just as involved as any of the main cast in defeating him. And the Cloud and Sephiroth storyline is left open ended without any real conclusion.
@@jezkerjamez7110 ngl i actually disagree sure xehanorts plotting is why their home is gone but that doesnt mean that they're actually involved because they never had any direct interaction with xehanort unlike everyone that appeared in the end except literally yen sid
@@KingKyuu I don't think they needed to interact with Xehanort to be involved. Remember it was Xehanort who dethroned their king, dragged his name through the mud, overran their home with Heartless and allowed Maleficent to take over. It was Leon and the Gang who introduced Sora to the concepts of other worlds, the Heartless, and the Keyblade. That makes them pretty involved IMO. Now I'm not saying they had to all get Keyblades and fight the Seekers of Darkness, but Radiant Garden should have been a playable world in KH3 and it would have been nice if they had gone along with Yen Sid to battle the army of Heartless, Nobodies, and Unversed to open the way for the Guardians to fight the Organization.
This interview was pretty good and interesting with its info from the man himself! I got my PS5 from Christmas so I’m ready for this game when it arrives! I’m glad to hear that some Disney worlds will still be present and it wouldn’t hurt me to explore non-Disney worlds. Besides I imagine Sora going on various worlds beyond Disney movies. I imagine him, Donald, and Goofy teaming up with Spider man on the PS4, avoid any danger during Elden ring, and maybe even Sonic too! So I like to see how some original worlds would play into the story and the game itself.
I get the impression KH4 is going to be a mix of Persona 5, Roxas' story in the tutorial and the Traverse Town/Radiant Garden visits in terms of progression and structure. The other worlds might be from interesting Disney worlds that are also realistic but I'm sure there will be some Kingdom Shader style worlds too to sell it. Those worlds I suspect are from Kairi's perspective with Donald and Goofy. While a Tron World would be Sora and Strelitzia, with a second visit style interaction for Riku's storyline. Gosh, the possibilities for Riku, especially if he meets the Verum Rex cast (well some of them) and Sora meets the others? This is gonna be good, as I suspect the Master is at fault for the problems in Verum Rex.
I can’t wait for KH4. Been holding off on getting a PS5 for it. Hopefully this year, we get more news and some new trailers. Next year it’ll release. I’m calling it! 🔑👑💛 Edit: I’m calling massive BS on TWEWY and the Shibuya comment(s). They will appear here somehow. It would be a missed opportunity, like Roxas and Ventus not pulling the Spider-Man meme at The Keyblade Graveyard
@@lemonjuice2597 it could but knowing se they gonna drop like at least 4 trailers for it first and im sure there will at least be one delay with the release date
My personal favorite thing about the Final Fantasy characters is seeing characters interact. Leon and Yuffie especially are more mature versions of those characters, special to Kingdom Hearts. I also think it'd be cool to continue having Cloud and Sephiroth show up, especially now since FF7 is going through its own renaissance with the Remake trilogy. It would be cool to at least see one FF character we've never seen before, but I don't think we exactly need an ensemble of FF characters, but I'd love the ones who have more of a connection with Sora to stick around.
I always liked the FF characters being included for the most part, but in 2, most of their stories wrap up in Radiant Garden, not counting Cloud’s, but his ending with “Sephiroth is my darkness, and I’ll keep fighting him, as long as it takes.” was for the most part satisfactory. I didn’t feel they NEEDED to be in 3, (I haven’t played the DLC.) but wouldn’t have been upset if they were. 3 was overall a mixed bag for me anyways. Given how long it took after 2 for it to come out. And what we got, after 3 was so built up. Idk. I hope 4 is good. And it’d be cool to go and see the FF characters again. I guess now I need to go play the 3 DLC so I am caught up lol
One thing they 100% need to do, is have a loading transition that rotates between parts of Sora's daily routine. One of them has got to be a shot of the closed bathroom door with the shower running and Sora singing "Swim this way we'll dance and we'll play now, it's very easy come on in just take a chance and shake a fi-in!"
I would take Nomura's FF thing seriously if Lea didn't make that joke about being confused because the characters never got to know each other (As good writing should let characters meet and refresh player's memories) but also if he wasn't so salty about losing Noctis that he made Noctis 2.0 and recreated cutscenes about Noctis and seemed like he threw out FF out of spite. It is really hard to trust him when it looks more spiteful then honest, especially since FF characters were often the vehicle that helped with things KH3 struggled with.
Something I really hope is that Strelitzia becomes a main or at least major character of kh4. I feel like there’s a lot of potential for her that we haven’t seen yet and I think she could be a fun temporary party member.
When will someone ask nomura what the rules to the new chess game xehanort and eraqus play with the 7 black pieces because this will give us an idea on how the lost mastsr arc will go
I'm probably wrong, but I think the 2 black coats are MoM and Young Xehenort. He tells sora at the end of ReMind that he will go back to his time and live out his life, and MoM did go see him in the graveyard at some point, maybe his new apprentice
I think what hes trying to say is that the characters that were in DDD are similar to the ones that will come out in KH4 but not entirely the same since the ones in DDD were dream versions of them
im a bit dissapointed that sora will never not be the MAIN character, because to be honest i do feel like hes done, hes already had several arcs and (i cant think of a better way to say this) Im sick of being stuck with sora when there are much more interesting characters to explore
If fans strongly see it as Disney x Final Fantasy, then that's what it is, Nomura. Its also not just characters, but even the magic names. He can say what he wants, but it's not true, unfortunately.
"I took out reaction commands since it seemed like fans didn't take to them." That is fffffffFFFFFAscinating. KH2 gets called a button masher for sure, but it is kind of fascinating to see what makes it to Nomura's ears. Most people I know love the RC mechanic.
KH2 definitely had a "press Triangle to win" reception at the time. People didn't come around to adoring its mechanics the way they do now until years and years later.
The final mix version of the game didn't release globally until 2014, so before that most people only had the chance to play the vanilla version of the game which didn't have critical mode, data org, Lingering Will, and had balancing issues. 2014 is also around the time opinions on kh2 started to shift I believe.
@@justarandomperson3700 The Final Mix release of KH2 still has a plethora of balancing issues in its own right. I think people definitely overexaggerate how much depth the combat has in 2Fm during practical gameplay.
@@borin192 All of the situation commands that actually matter in KH3 are completely within the player's control. Reaction commands in KH2 that weren't tied to bosses were also just as random as the attractions in KH3.
Looking at the foretellers as villains have always been a really interesting view of them all. I’d say everyone except for Ava is easy to view as villains, yet I remember her hurting the player character a lot. But her tone in back cover is so sweet. But she and the others are so mean and overbearing in union cross.
I'm surprised reaction commands weren't received well when 2 came out. I thought they were some of the coolest parts of the game. Like busting those walls down on the final world or the laser dome. Lol i was really bummed when I played 3 and realized they were gone
I don't understand the argument of there not being enough time to explore the other characters. What exactly makes this as difficult as they're making it out to be when other game series have taken the time to at least attempt to advance multiple characters arcs in a SINGLE game, whether through sidequests or the main story, examples being many of the FF games or Xeno titles, which has tens of times more unique characters than all the KH games combined. It just doesn't make any sense to me 🤨
They can honestly finish the cloud vs sephiroth fight in quadradum (pardon my spelling) just think how epic it would be to fight sephiroth in area of the city preferably at night 😱😱 now reaction commands are back come on someone back me up
I honestly don't want to mostly fight heartless giants and nobodies as the majority of boss fights. I would like to see more Disney and final fantasy boss enemies with a little bit of heartless peppered throughout the game.
I really hope the combat makes significant improvements in KH4. KH3 was so repetitive with the key lade form changes. I know it'd be a big ask, but I'd like to see all the previous combat abilites somehow included in KH4. KH2's form changes were, in my opinion, the best combat options in the series. I'd also like KH to start exploring more mature themes and have a story with real consequences. The original audience would all be adults now, and it'd be fascinating to see what the creators came up with story wise, if they were to bump up the themes a bit.
I honestly think that since kh is moving towards more realistic, serious worlds and with ppl wanting ff including myself, I honestly think and hope Midgard will make it in with cloud as a party member where the plots similar to advent children, I'd think that satisfy ppl plus it promotes both kh4 and ff7 remake 🤷♂️
Honestly, at this point it’s kind of like I know it’s coming be patient because what I realize is every time that there’s like a new installment of kingdom hearts it takes years and after kingdom hearts three I don’t believe it’s worth the wait so I’m kind of like no high expectations but I know it’s gonna be good
One of the cloaked figures is 100% young xehanort as he is HEAVILY implied to be trying to lead Sora to quadratum, and i think the taller one is actually xemnas, or at least some form of him as obviously he knew about quadratum as terra-nort, and he seems to be the ONLY one in the present that knows about Daybreak Town minus luxu but the scene when he asks those from DBT why he chose them "because of your ancient keyblade past, and when vexen is trying to get demyx to help him he whispers something to him and says "its all his idea. He says he wants to atone to." There would be absolutely no reason to censor the name if it was AnsemTW because we already knew that. I think he said "Xemnas"
there are multiple versions of Shibuya,so "not the same Shibuya from TWEWY" could mean many things,or nothing.does Nomura mean not the UG that TWEWY mostly takes in? The RG? Another day? one of the infinite multiverse versioons alluded to i the secret reports? who knows?
17 minutes in, dude..... KH is obviously a Disney Final fantasy collaboration and I was extremely disappointed with 3s launch and lack of characters. Can't believe he's saying he's "trying to find a balance" when if he was trying at all they would have been there in some regard. He didn't try he threw them by the wayside
If part 3 of final fantasy 7 comes out before kingdom hearts 4 it is possible that we are going to get a fight against Sephiroth in his final form. That would be epic since the graphics will look like final fantasy. Someone said that KH4 will be more beautiful than FF16.
I'm happy to hear that they might be cutting back a little on the Disney stuff. At times it felt like KH3 was just a Disney game where you control Sora as optional DLC.
I think what they need to do is integrate the Disney Worlds more into the larger narrative, just like they did in KH1. Create another league of Disney villains, like we had in KH1, with Jafar, Hades, Ursuala, Captain Hook, and Maleficient, all coordinating their actions towards a common goal. Maybe even create coordination between the Disney villains and the Final Fantasy villains. There was a teeny bit of coordination between Maleficient and Xehanort's Heartless in KH1 in hollow bastion. Have something along the lines of the 7 princesses of light. But I can't imagine Kingdom Hearts without Disney.
@@anthonytillman6363 I agree, both KH1 and KH2 did a great job of integration, with FF being a great pusher and Disney being a great puller. They struggled with that in 3 and it hurts the game massively.
@@Buglin_Burger7878 KH2's integration of Disney material into the larger narrative (or lack thereof) is one of the things that is widely criticized about the game, and for good reason. They did not do a good job. Even in terms of just character development for Sora the Disney worlds in KH2 are mostly filler.
Hmmm... I guess the FF-related question's answer makes a lot of sense and even more now. I don't think FF characters will go to the wayside at least, though I imagine that adding a whole bunch of new ones is just not going to be easy, now that they've had plenty of OGs to work with as mainstays. At least even with the styling challenges being a bit of an obstacle, they'll still be able to do something with Disney material. While stuff like maybe Treasure Planet, Atlantis, references to Finding Nemo, Up, as well as proper revisit to Toy Story's side plot set up in KHIII, to even more Marvel stuff beyond Big Hero 6 like... Maybe even Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, references to the Avengers, X-Men, and such, even stuff from Star Wars or Willow is fine. It's just, and I get it, that's _a lot to work with_, especially anything relevant or obscure in all the IP choices that could be asked for, even just cameos or hommages. Really, the only thing I can say I'm looking forwards to is that if they're really going to put as much focus on Sora as possible this time, much like they did in the beginning with just him, Riku, Kairi, and Ansem the Heartless, I do actually wanna see just how far they take the story with him. They could actually put quite a bit of focus on him much like what they did with Roxas in the beginning of KHII and throughout Days, which with slice of life as a theme could work for Sora for a change. Also, bringing back reaction commands would be welcome honestly. I didn't mind the use of the command deck back in 3D or multitude of limited-time options in KHIII, but I will say I _did miss_ the use reaction commands. I guess the qte playstyle really worked well enough that it was definitely something amiss after a while. Many selections might give quite the amount of utility options to work with, but having that one right in-the-moment action you've been in need of really is irreplaceable.
They believe it's too expensive to make a last sequel, but lucky it switched to movie after their discuss. And making the Mouse and magical characters happy.
Yeah I'm down for seeing slice of life Sora like I feel like anyone would. And, not just for Sora everyone honestly. I still wonder why Nomura didn't think days trio and wayfinder trio wouldn't be popular.
Ok let's hope. The best is yet to come with the Kingdom Hearts fourth installment. If its going to be this realistic, its going to make our wait time much longer unless there other available collaborators with advanced skills on details. The movie based disney worlds and characters. But if the director doesn't have that and struggling with the process then most likely there be few worlds in the making.
This video has cleared up quite some doubts and actually made me quite excited for KH4. Now I can fully avoid any KH4 content till it comes out so I can avoid the trail fiasco of KH3 lmfao
It would be cool of it comes out later this year. I am going to have surgery and will take around 2 months to recover so it would be an awsome way to spend all yhe down time I will have. If not maybe I'll finish getting platinum tropheys for the other kh games since I have only done kh2 so far.

Even though I imagine KH4 will focus a lot with its original stories like KH3 did, I really hope they include Final Fantasy characters, even just as a small supporting role. The usual familiar faces would be nice, but I would really love to see the cast from XIII to be included.
Fighting Sephiroth and Cloud again would be fun. Maybe we could fight Tidus and Wakka too.
I love that idea, hope we see more of the final fantasy characters. I still hope we are lucky to see Ed and AL appear.
@@anthonytillman6363 I agree with this, Sephiroth was an actually challenge compared to the joke his replacement felt like in KH3.
I would want a Noctis cameo; however, Yozora felt like something even better being essentially a reimagined Noctis.
@@Buglin_Burger7878Who was the replacement? The heartless enemy?
It’s so funny cause I had a dream last night that KH4 came out and it was so good 😭😭
Nomura is def cooking with this game. Hope we get a trailer in 3-4 months from now with a 2025 release window. 🤞🏻
hopefully with PC release straight away
I hope we will get the something new about Kingdom Hearts 4 this year

The “base of operations” kind of reminds me of FFXV in which perhaps at night, the difficulty goes up. So it’s advised to return to base every so often
I feel like quadratum is going to be like the traverse town or radiant garden. Where we are there as a hub, then do stuff and go to other worlds but keep coming back to shabuya to progress the main story
I hope it’s big like the big hero 6 map

Nomura is such a troll for the Shibuya turning out to not be the same one from TWEWY. At the same time, that opens the door for new possibilities and more new characters to keep us surprised.
Could be the case so that it doesn’t interfere with that series’s canon, but I’m hoping Neku and the gang still show up in some way!
Its not even a funny troll like the 2.9 joke, its just feels petty or extremely aloof on his part.
I don't think it's a troll, it's just sometimes different variants of the same world exist, like DDD taught us
It was never possible. Unreality isn't like the sleeping world's, with a buried connection. Unreality is completely cut off from reality.
Making a video on an article that's 2 years old is crazyyyy
The way the room is called "base of operations" actually gives me vibes of Persona 5 where Sora has a hangout or hideout where he stays at night and you can plan out what you want to do during the day
Base of operations reminds me too of the twilight town gang and their secret spot
the fact that he said, "day to day activities" gave me so much hype..a persona type of vibe with daily life, and sora becoming a student at school to blend in just to save worlds when he's out of school..ah MAN I CAN'T WAIT
Hell no
no, pls nope
That would be interesting
I would much rather that the Disney worlds were just a setting where the main story takes place instead of being about the characters of that world
10:38 not goofy casually just walking right into the road 🥲
That be cool. Maybe a Neku cameo.
Also there was a unused Sora model in the world ends with you Neo so you may be right
@@LeaveItToRemm that was confirmed fake unfortunately
So basically KH4 is going to fully focus on Sora's disapperence and how he can even be brought back.
What else?
To be honest, there is no way a meandering plot like that can go on for an entire game. The only way it can work is if it is structured like Roxas' story from KH2. Have Sora reuniting with everyone be the tutorial section so that we can get with the actual plot Numura's been slow cooking these past 8 years.
@@kevinbell5674 it sort of can be like u need to travel to different worlds within this realm to collect something to get out of this realm or learn a new ability and riku is trying to find sora within this realm as well and then the masked guys are there to prevent that from happening
@@soraman409 That sounds like a very boring story where nothing really happens.
(When explaining the limitations of having it be more realistic.)
Also, a fun thing about the name "Quadratum" is that it could be sort of translated as "Four ratified", which could be interpreted as four worlds married together.
I miss reflect
Damn, in hindsight I would have really liked a Stranger of Paradise connection of some kind
Sora: friends are my power. Together, there's nothing we can't overcome. I know that my heart will-
Jack: *bullshit*
Maybe it's just me but since they basically teased a Star Wars world I get the feeling the Disney worlds are probably going to be based on live-action movies that Disney acquired rather than stuff they originally made, to fit with the whole theme of Quadratum and the "fictional worlds," to truly make it more different than the previous games that featured classic Disney movies.
So, like, imagine if alongside Star Wars we also got worlds based on Indiana Jones, The Chronicles of Narnia, Avatar and The Avengers.
Im still pressed that KH3 didnt have a Sephiroth boss fight
Kh3 threw everything in the trash that made kh, kh.
It has Yozora, which is much better.
You mean noctis lol
Because Sephiroth and Cloud disappeared to their own world.
Why the fuck would Sephiroth return when it's clear they took him out of the picture?
Nomura also commented that he likes choosing FF characters that he personally designed, which is why we haven’t seen characters like Zidane featured in KH.
makes sense, heck at the end of the 13 trilogy we see the characters in a realistic non futuristic world.
Give us Sazh, KH4, you know you wanna.
Does anyone think we might see Oswald in quadratum
with the more realistic graphics it's like the best time to include Final Fantasy characters over Disney characters.
I want to know more about Sora’s anti and rage form, hopefully they fit it in the narrative somewhere and explain it in detail
We NEED more KH4 news this year
We need to know more about the Story. We already know its going to focus on Sora's disapperence but there has to be more that is going on. I recall it showed that Master of Masters was making a heart shape and how Luxu brought back the Foretellers and he has acess to the black box.
Why? It’s the Year of the Dragon. We’re all gonna be focused on Spyro 4, not Kingdom Hearts.
@@bullworthless We get more questions than answers. You do not speak for the KH community.
@@SoraFan23 Neither do you. You will get answers to those questions when you play the games like everybody else.
💯
the story is world building, heck not his fault you didn't chose not to play union cross or dark road.
KH2 Hollow Bastion in its entirety is just a highlight of the series. Anytime I replay KH2, that area excites me like it's the first time.
Underrated comment.

I’m excited for kh4
This would’ve been the perfect time to meet the TWEWY cast again 🫤 I guess we still don’t know how this Shabuya came to be.
Makes me wonder if we'll see any live action movie Disney worlds in KH4 since there going for a way more realistic style than ever before
I always liked the FF characters being included for the most part, but in 2, most of their stories wrap up in Radiant Garden, not counting Cloud’s, but his ending with “Sephiroth is my darkness, and I’ll keep fighting him, as long as it takes.” was for the most part satisfactory.
Uh no 😓
@nave712 Oh come on, you're no fun.
Nah. He should be singing "Simple and Clean". That one's a Kingdom Hearts classic.
@@LtBasil Yeah, but Sora wouldn't know that one.
I feel like there’s a lot of potential for her that we haven’t seen yet and I think she could be a fun temporary party member.
i have a feeling KH4 is gonna release late 25 or early 26
When will someone ask nomura what the rules to the new chess game xehanort and eraqus play with the 7 black pieces because this will give us an idea on how the lost mastsr arc will go
Playable Donald and goofy as Mc on the quest for sora in Olympus? Would be cool
I have a feeling this is gonna be like Spider-Man where sora goes around the city saving people from heartless with the usual kh story tied in.
I think the two hooded characters in quadratum are young Xehanort and the MoM at xehanorts world tour.
i'm really curious about ava i wonder how square are gonna include her if she shows up cuz she is apart of the old masters
I'm probably wrong, but I think the 2 black coats are MoM and Young Xehenort. He tells sora at the end of ReMind that he will go back to his time and live out his life, and MoM did go see him in the graveyard at some point, maybe his new apprentice
Wait wasn;t it MoM and Luxu there?
Finally some new information.
Id really love to see drive forms back tho.
Hm, i think all of this was quite interesting and it does leaves us something to chew on, i hope it won’t take too long for us to get more info.
If fans strongly see it as Disney x Final Fantasy, then that's what it is, Nomura. Its also not just characters, but even the magic names. He can say what he wants, but it's not true, unfortunately.
Great video! Really excited about KH4
What are the soundtracks called that are used here?
Honestly, I'm fine with KH relying less and less on FF characters. This series has grown is so well-loved that the series can stand on it's own.
"I took out reaction commands since it seemed like fans didn't take to them."
That is fffffffFFFFFAscinating.
KH3 has way too many press triangle to do random thing, so a middle ground would be the ideal
It’s ironic that the complaints they’re probably addressing that they’re trying to fix for KH4 are likely all the things I enjoyed about KH3
I just want a spidermann moment between riku noctis and yozora
You scared me thinking there was a new interview lol. This came out right after the reveal

It’s funny you played the Cloud vs Sephiroth clip in this video because I feel like they both went to Quadratum
This is going to be good, mid 2050 when it finally comes out.
Its been a good minute.
The RG? Another day? one of the infinite multiverse versioons alluded to i the secret reports? who knows?

As a KH fan I was destined to watch this video.
I think it would be epic if they mixed in final fantasy and Disney villains, that way we can fill our FF hunger and get a load of Disney
We need at least some of the Disney Worlds confirmed by end of 2024 or something has gone terribly wrong
Not really. KH III was announced in 2013 and released in 2019. It's common for the next numbered title to be announced too early.
KH4 takes place during JJK's shibuya incident. We're gonna be seeing Yuji and Sora scrapping with Mahito.
Can wait for this game
I wonder if we get this before GTA6
This video has cleared up quite some doubts and actually made me quite excited for KH4. Now I can fully avoid any KH4 content till it comes out so I can avoid the trail fiasco of KH3 lmfao
AWESOMESAUCE!!!! Was there anything about KHML as well?
It would be cool of it comes out later this year. I am going to have surgery and will take around 2 months to recover so it would be an awsome way to spend all yhe down time I will have. If not maybe I'll finish getting platinum tropheys for the other kh games since I have only done kh2 so far.
Hope your surgery goes well. Sending blessings your way 🙏🏽
I hope they put avatar in kh4 that would be so cool. and also, I guess that would be their pirates of a Caribbean level with visuals.
Yessss
