കീമോതെറാപ്പി ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ വേദനയുണ്ടാകുമോ?

കീമോതെറാപ്പി വേദനാജനകമാണൊ എന്നതിനെ കുറിച്ചാണ് ഇന്ന് നമ്മൾ സംസാരിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നത്. ചില ആളുകളെങ്കിലും കീമോതെറാപ്പി വേണ്ട എന്ന് വെക്കാൻ കാരണം അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഉള്ളിൽ ഒരു ഭയത്തിനുകാരണം കീമോ തെറാപ്പി ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ വേദനിക്കും എന്ന തെറ്റ് ധാരണമൂലമാണ്.
പലആളുകളും വന്നു ചോദിക്കാറുണ്ട് കീമോതെറാപ്പി വേദനാജനകമാണോ? എന്നുള്ളത്. എന്നാൽ കീമോതെറാപ്പി ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ വേദന ഉണ്ടാകില്ല എന്നുതന്നെയാണ് ഉത്തരം. മറ്റ് രോഗത്തിൻ്റെ മരുന്നുകൾ പോലെ ഇതും ഒരു മരുന്നാണ് അത് പല സൊല്യൂഷനിൽ(solutions) യോജിപ്പിച്ച് സിരകളിലൂടെ IV ക്യാൻ, സെൻട്രൽ ലൈൻ, കീമോപോർട്ട് ഇവയിൽ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒന്നിലൂടെ കടത്തിവിടുന്നതാണ് കീമോതെറാപ്പി ചികിത്സ. ഇതല്ലാതെ കീമോതെറാപ്പിയിൽ ഗുളികയായി കഴിക്കാവുന്നതും ഉണ്ട്.
ഇതൊന്നും ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ ആർക്കും വേദന ഉണ്ടാകില്ല. എന്നാൽ ചിലർക്ക് കീമോതെറാപ്പി ചെയ്തുകഴിഞ്ഞാൽ പാർശ്വഫലങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാകാറുണ്ട്. വായ്ക്കകത്ത് തൊലിപോവുക , വയറിൽ തൊലിപോവുക അങ്ങനെ വേദന ഉണ്ടാവാം. ചില ആളുകൾക്ക് കീമോതെറാപ്പി ചെയ്താൽ WBC കുറഞ്ഞുപോവാതിരിക്കാൻ PET GCS ഇൻജെക്ഷൻ വെക്കാറുണ്ട്, അത് കുത്തിവെക്കുമ്പോൾ ശരീരത്തിൽ കൌണ്ട് കൂടും മജ്ജയിൽ പുതിയ കോശങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാകും മജ്ജ വികസ്സിക്കും, അപ്പോഴൊക്കെ വേദന ഉണ്ടാകും .
ഇതല്ലാതെ കീമോതെറാപ്പി ചെയ്യുന്ന സമയത്ത് വേദന ഉണ്ടാവില്ല. ചില ആളുകൾക്ക് വായ്ക്കകത്തു തൊലിപോയി നല്ല കഠിനമായ വേദന ഉണ്ടാകാൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. അത് വളരെ കുറച്ച്‌ പേർക്ക് മാത്രമേ ഉണ്ടാകുകയുള്ളു 300യിൽ 1 ഓ 2 ഓ പേർക്ക് മാത്രമേ വരാറുള്ളൂ. സാധാരണ രീതിയിൽ കീമോതെറാപ്പി ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ വേദന ഉണ്ടാകില്ല ഇത്രയും പറഞ്ഞ് കൊണ്ട് നിർത്തുന്നു

However, the truth is that chemotherapy itself does not cause pain. It is simply a drug that is mixed into several solutions and given to the vein through an IV can, central line, or chemo port. There are also pills available for those undergoing chemotherapy that will not cause pain.
While chemotherapy does not directly cause pain, some people may experience side effects after treatment. For example, peeling of the mouth or skin inside the stomach. During chemotherapy, individuals may be given PET-GCS injections to increase their white blood cell count. This injection can cause the bone marrow to expand and generate new white blood cells, which may result in pain or discomfort.
In reality, the vast majority of people will not experience any pain during chemotherapy. While a very small percentage of individuals may experience severe pain in the mouth, this is a rare occurrence, affecting only about 1 or 2 out of 300 people. It is crucial to dispel the myth that chemotherapy is a painful experience, as this misconception may prevent individuals from seeking life-saving cancer treatment.
