The kitten needs to be placed near Mom any time he is separated from her. She IS licking him, which is excellent. I just wish the baby would spend time near the teats. Still, this video shows progress. Glad the owner is feeding and cleaning the kitten himself.
Someone must be bottle feeding the kitten because she isn’t letting him nurse much at all.

Actually, I think Coco's expression says "I am not amused"! I'm not sure he is really engaged as a protective father--it's not a natural role for male cats. He'll probably enjoy the kitten more as it grows and becomes able to play with him. Meantime, Coco seems to be missing Mimi's attention and companionship.
