Why Hololive ReGloss Is So Special

- Hololive DEV_IS launched a couple of months ago to much anticipated wait for the seventh generation of the Hololive JP branch, while this isn't that, it's still just as special as this branch consisting of ReGloss at the moment, proves they are full of potential just as much as the rest are. Here are my two cents on Hololive ReGloss!

A small correction: according to A-chan, Dev_Is is pronounced like "device".
My favorite is Ririka. I love her personality, specially when she goes full acidic on others, and her streams in English are, simply, lovable. There's something endearing about watching someone taking an effort to communicate in a different language.
Also, another thing to note: this group seems more grounded in reality. Not only all their members are normal humans with no supernatural origin, even their designs are more "normal". Sure, they are still flashy but not over-designed to the point you say "yeah, that's some Fate level of complexity"; specially Ririka, because she looks like you could cross paths with someone dressed like her in a normal day. And yes, I know Raden doesn't look that "normal", but once you've seen how people into the gothic lolita and sweet lolita fashion trends dress, she looks less extravagant.
Same Ririka here too... my first impression of her give me my favorite type Gyaru + Sweet Lovely lady and weeeee i fall hard for her , i first see her in Madison Horror game EN stream and im surprised how her English is good , mine too im not good in eng cause i came from Philippines(PH) so yeah sometimes my eng is you know 🤣🤣🤣🙏❤️
Edit : I'm half Jap(dad)/PH , But born here in PH so there's a little bit jap language i know..

Raden reminds me of mizuki, a singer that often collabs with sawano hiroyuki
Hololive started holding auditions since 7th dec 2023 for Dev_is, so gen 2 should be coming up next
ReGLOSS is amazing indeed. People say they are just like the previous generations but that's totally wrong. They live up to their name and brand as the musical focused branch of Hololive. They released a lot of cover songs within just 3 months since they debuted, clearly showing that Hololive is really trying to build a music brand. Each member also had been assigned dedicated vocal and dance coaches. They also have a dedicated weekly stream in the DEV_IS channel.
My absolute favourite of them is JFT Raden for sure. Her contents are not easy to watch without good enough Japanese understanding since she specialize in talking streams which is perhaps why I don't see her as popular in the English side of community, for some reason not many clips her despite her funny anecdotes.
I find it a bit weird to compare her with Shiori though, since Raden is not unhinged at all other than in her debut stream. Her viewers even call her 常識停らでん as a joke about how much of an upright person she is. This granma loving girl is very amazing. She's very cute. She reads book and is smart. She's pretty much the most into character member as well, speaking in a polite and showmanship manner every single time.
Trivia: Raden writes some of the scripts for the voice packs Hololive releases.
ReGloss is succeeding where INNK Music failed that's for sure.

Ao has the second best rebranding of all of Hololive. The first is AZki and Geoguessr

I hope they don't churn out talents like Nijisanji, I'd rather they pace themselves and give the exposure and support their talents deserve.
Absolutely love Raden, and her debut stream cemented it even if I couldn't understand her during it lol
Both her casual and "idol" looks are so great, and I greatly look forward to whenever regloss actually use their idol designs outside art pieces
They keep auditioning for next gen. Meanwhile id 4th gen : 💀
As an Indonesian, I can say that we're good. No need to go Nijisanji and churns out some needless talents while neglecting the existing one.

Now you know how I felt about the wait for EN Gen 3. But they chose the perfect girls for it, and I'm glad they took their time rather than rush them out -- we wouldn't want another Victoria Brightshield (rushed out, neglected and barely promoted by Nijisanji)
I think the girls are perfect. 9 girls = 9 dragons. 😂
Ririka is definitely my favorite of the gen. Not only does she have my favorite design, but she’s also super funny and engaging, and I can watch her streams even though I can only understand bits and pieces of Japanese. She reminds me a lot of Marine or Kiara in terms of her energy, and I’m excited to see how she interacts with other holomems going forward.
