Is lithium grease hydroscopic? Does it absorb moisture from air, and turn to wet paste? Does wet paste contribute to oxidation? Does oxidation repeat the rusting sticking problem?
Thanks for the info but I used a seatbelt cut from a junk car then I pulled it out with my loader. I did Pour some motor oil on top of it before I pulled it
When man gets stuck I use a jack and a piece of thick wall pipe and a heavy Hammer to smack the side of the ball as I apply pressure not too much pressure though you don't want to let the truck off the ground works like a charm for me and much safer I should mention this works best when the ball is upside down the pipe will not slip off of the ground surface of the ball very easily
My buddy slung his truck all around the yard with a chain and excavator.

i have had this problem a couple times. i was successful only once. they were salt rusted in badly. glad it worked out for you.

I run the same hitch and i have never once had thay issue but mine also sees frequent use and i use anti seize on it too prevent issues like such
