Is the CS, pepper spray, driving, and DT more an exposure, or a killer everyday? Essentially, Im trying to assess how similar of extremities the CBP training is to BP training at FLETC? Most have said it is more classroom than physical torture? Anything I can do to better prepare for CBPO academy other than intensive physical fitness? Are instructors always trying to break you down mentally and physically? Can I read up on anything, go through an OC course, or get more practice with firearms training? Then finally, at the very end is the polygraph. Confident? You shouldn't be. Brilliant men and women go in there with an impeccable record. And fail. Twice. It does not matter. The polygraph examiners are doing this for the $$$$ and for job security. There is no other federal agency who fails at even half the rate as the border patrol. DEA fail rate is 36%, CIA is 35%, FBI 30%.... Border Patrol is 75%. There are polygraph examiners with 100% fail rate (Del Rio Texas, Tampa Florida, and more). Let that sink in for a moment. And these people are have been doing this for years. There is no accountability and they are making bank. Just don't do it. Read up on the bullshit. Save yourself time & money. Just don't do it, I'm telling you. Fuck border patrol
As a former border patrol agent and current AMO agent, I can see why you would have failed out of the process.
Seems like they made the correct decision to not hire you.
@RP SC seems pretty immature to me lol, but whatever makes you feel better about yourself. Ive just noticed that a lot of people who do mock it couldnt pass the pt requirements alone. Its not for everyone, especially if you arent a fan of hard dirty work.There are plenty of other more cush agencies like the one I switched to that would be more appealing to some.
@@HBFBOX1 I know at least 3 of my friends with clean backgrounds that failed on the same question that doesn't even apply to them including myself. And to add in to that, I've passed 2 polygraphs before this from other police agencies. That tell you something wrong is with either the person examine it or their polygraph system.

The fact that you are advising everyone a CBP Drill Instructor lead video for the sole purpose of drill and ceremony and calling it a CBP Training Academy video tells me you know absolutely nothing about Federal Law Enforcement or what each agency does.
Get your facts straight if your gonna put out videos about Federal Law Enforcement Agencies!
@Jonathan Solis-Betty
Hello Jonathan,
Hey I was wanting to ask you if you went through CBPO training academy or through the BP training academy? Im planning on going to the CBPO training academy. Most have said that it is not as physically rigorous as the BP academy, even though it is rigorous. My 1.5 mile, push-ups, and dash are all within the limits for CBPO. But is the CBPO PT training and smoking very difficult? Or rather, do I have to be in a US Marine Recruit physical shape to make it? Are the academics extremely tough? Is the CS, pepper spray, driving, and DT more an exposure, or a killer everyday?
Essentially, Im trying to assess how similar of extremities the CBP training is to BP training at FLETC? Most have said it is more classroom than physical torture? Anything I can do to better prepare for CBPO academy other than intensive physical fitness? Are instructors always trying to break you down mentally and physically? Can I read up on anything, go through an OC course, or get more practice with firearms training? Im sorry for many questions but I like to be methodical and be set up for success and know what to expect? What was it that made some fail or quit? With there being a variety of contrasting experiences and reviews, Im trying to get a clear picture. If you might share how your experience was like? Thank you for your time.
