Got married young in 1989. This was the song my wife picked for our first dance. We celebrate 33 years in a few weeks. I still see her on that day from 89 when I hear this song.
"Seasons Change" is a good song, but this completely blows it out of the water. There is such drama and tonal range in this song. The elegant, down-tempo control of the verses and that dynamic build towards the second chorus with the powerful way she delivers "we can not forget...", shifting the key with each word. It gives me chills every time. The background vocals are truly dreamy too. I never understood why this only reached as high as #10 on the charts. I was sure it was destined to hit #1.
.....a wonderful account! ... LOVE Jeannette's approach at the start ("...I never known someone before....."), in such a low register; and the backgrounds coming before the lead, in... " (It's not a dream) / We all need love and understanding..." ....I met Expose in 2006, and expressed this to Jeanette, & she was BOWLED OVER!! (lol)
Still the greatest decade ever! So glad I was born in 1977 and grew up in the awesome 80s! The music is unparalleled and timeless. Love these ladies! They deserve more recognition than they ever received.
Beautiful Song! My future wife and I saw them in 1989 at Memorial Park in Houston. Can you imagine it was a Free Concert! What a Gem! Outstanding group!

This song makes me cry. I was married very young at 18. We lasted 23 yrs and three children. You never forget your first love. It's very painful but at least I got to experience it.
When women were women and men were men.Romance was alive and real and relationships really meant something and weren't disposable. The 80's was awesome and what a decade to be in your teens and twenties! We were all so young, wild and free back then.Oh,the memories we have!Pure joy!
what happend to these songs. not even the radio plays these songs. Miss hearing old school music like these. This is what I call music from the heart not mentioning respectful then the songs played these days.
I feel so lucky to have grown up with this era of music. So much emotion and real feeling. And it's great to see the group still performing together today. God bless you, Exposé. :)
The lovely and extremely talented ladies of Exposé have crafted a deep and lasting legacy in their songs. I admire them as much today as I did in the 80s.
I sang with Ann Curless of Expose' in high school. I was a freshman at Miami Beach High School and she was a senior there, but we would sing and she would play the piano then. Our music teacher was Mr. Doug Burris, the legendary founding father of the original "School of Rock," and the man that launched many careers. Ah, the memories! :-)
I've always felt there was something so striking about the way Jeanette Jurado, on lead vocals, sings "I can" at 2:14 in the line "I can never love someone new." Gives me goosebumps. Gioia Bruno's and Ann Curless's backing parts are beautiful too.
I’m in my 40’s and I remember this song from middle school in the late 80s/early 90s but couldn’t remember the title. I heard it again at the dentist 3 years ago and tried to sound app it in there but was too late as the song went off. It was bothering me and I tried to track it down. I asked friends I went to school with, who were my age, etc. No one knew. I looked up Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, Martika, Sweet Sensation, etc...I really swore it was Belinda Carlisle for a while, but no success. I was 90% sure it was Expose as I remembered their vocal sound. But must’ve skipped this particular track (out of all the songs) in their catalogue while searching. I did a UA-cam playlist of Expose and let it play. Long and behold 😎. To everyone involved in creating this song, it’s perfection...timeless. Hearing this takes me back to some great memories.
I’m a Dentist and our office listens to WLIT 93.9 fm all day. Expose is played about every14 days (still) I agree with all your comments. We can only hope and pray for live concerts to return soon
same as me-it took me years to find it. most romantic song of the rock and roll era, along with the associations "everything that touches you" from 1966-67
This is one of those love songs that always gets me emotional because it believe and remember the power a true love can make you feel. A fabulous song and music video!
Loved these girls. Jeanette has such a beautiful voice. Gioia and Ann are great also and they all sing lead on certain songs. But Jeanette, God do I love her voice.
Esta canción la escuche hace aproximadamente 20 años, y nunca había visto el vídeo hasta hoy. Esa melodía es maravillosa. Extraño mucho la década del 80.
Hey Tom do u have a favorite song of all the one hit wonders??? I myself love 867-5309, I Live By the Groove, Back To Life, No Myth, just too many to try to think of all of them!!
Man this takes me way, way back. This was my favorite jam back in the day. I had it on cassette tape, wore it out LOL. Amazing they even had these videos still. Expose rocks.
Me too. My first love was killed in 1985, a month before we were to get married. What I wouldn't give to have even 5 minutes with him. Rest in Heaven Bob Hilton 💜🕊
@Blurry Face thank you for the nice reply. I try to just remember and smile when I think about him. I feel very blessed to have been a part of his life. Sometimes I break down, but I know he wouldn't want me to. Thanks again. Have a wonderful Christmas 🎄✝️💕
Truly an amazing song by one of the best bands of the 80s. It's so sad that we'll never have great music like this again. I so miss the 70s and 80s. Thank you for posting this gem :)
When i first heard this song when i was teenager i changed the words. Instead of when i looked at him i sang it when i looked at her fantasizing anout falling in love with that woman. Today when i look at her, my wife of 17 years, i smile and think of this song.😊
This song should have been a #1 hit in the U.S and U.K for at least two weeks in a row, I think it was before it's time it sounded like it belonged on they're 93 album.
Gotta love the old wooden boardwalk scenes on South Beach in the video! I grew up in Miami listening to these awesome ladies' music playing on the radio.
The 80s and 90s was such a good time to be a young person. ..No school shootings no terrorist attacks in America. ..I want my carefree days back ...Dammit! !!
I don’t know about the 80’s, but there were school shootings starting in the 90’s. I’m sure more of them happened earlier, but we didn’t have as much media coverage back then.
When this song came out I had fallen in love with this guy who was 10 years younger than me, but the relationship lasted 11 years off and on. I had never experienced a love like this, it was totally amazing. He truly loved me and I loved him. Just like the song when I looked at him!!! WOW!!!! It was the touch of his hand touching mine and I knew. So when I hear this song it takes me back to a time when things were good and not so complicated and it puts a smile on my face for a 3 or 4 minutes. What a memory!! So sometimes I have to listen to it a couple of times. So Hey u, thanks for the memories and putting a smile on my face, it will never be forgotten. Thank u!!!!!
karen leigh I also fell in love with a guy 10 yrs younger,We have been married almost 28 years. He was 25 and I was 35.We have a almost 23 year old son.. Surprise...still in love with him and this song

Quien escucha a este gran trío expose con audífonos y en la cama recordando lindos momentos en la vida vivan los 80s sin duda la mejor época q jamás volverá pero estará en nuestros corazones y memoria para siempre saludos desde chile 😊
What beautiful harmonies on this song. Lewis A Martinee, what a great songwriter. This group definitely deserves a documentary or biography. The lineup changes before the success of the band, how the second lineup came about, the stories behind how Lewis wrote the songs, how the Gioia had to quit do to losing her voice, the legal problems between the girls and producers after the release of Exposure, being dropped by Arista even after achieving a Gold certified album and Clive Davis overseeing the project, the success or not of the third album, Kelly replacing Gioia, the Miami music scene where it all started...
I saw them in concert in Albuquerque back around 2013. They did a meet and greet along with the other bands there. I asked why I never heard this song played and it had a special meaning for me because of a girl and they just started serenading me. It was totally awesome. True highlight of my life!
Quite a few years back, I had an experience that I just thought prior to it, was a myth. I met my twin flame or soulmate. I did not handle the experience well. I lost all regular motor functions and the ability to speak. I stood there hyperventilating and saying uhhh over and over. Because I was filled with so much love towards the person out of thin air. I was trying to rationalize "how could this happen" to someone I knew nothing about. Nothing ever came of it. After the whole thing, I could hear this tune in my head. But the only word from the lyrics that was coming to mind was eternally. The rest was muffled like I was listening to it through a wall. And I could not remember who sang it. Then one day Expose popped in my head. I may neve see that person again in my life. But I experienced more than a lifetimes worth of love in a blink of an eye. And this song just makes me smile about it.
Expose is such an elegant group of singers. Their voice as One, together like that, is sophistication itself. What I love the most about this group is that they're so normal looking.. yes, ordinary girls. And look how SPLENDID ordinary girls were, back then. xo
80’s were magical we will never see or experience anything like them. No one can understand unless you lived them, no internet,no social media no cells phone etc… life was just so simple, this song is so beautiful.
Carla Linton. I remember this song when I was in High School in The 9th Grade. When I Look At Him by Expose. It is one of my favorite old school jams back in the day.
I miss these days when people were not afraid to show their feelings for each other and affection for each other. These days it's all about being cool and acting like you don't give a sh!* about anybody. People just "hook up" but never really connect.
I was getting ready for work in late 1989 and listening to Rick Dees on KISS FM In Los Angeles talking about how the previous night Expose had preformed at a small venue. He was there and said that Jeanette Jurado had sung this song Acapela. He was amazed and blown away by her talent. To this day I have never heard that recording. That would be a dream come true.
Got married young in 1989. This was the song my wife picked for our first dance. We celebrate 33 years in a few weeks. I still see her on that day from 89 when I hear this song.
Congratulations🎊.

should still be number one today
Depends on your mood. All of Expose's tracks are awesome!
Yeah it’s a good track but it’s not as catchy or melodic as “Season’s Change” hence the reason it wasn’t a major hit.
I agree . I think people don’t know this song

Relationships are still real... Conservative bullshit has nothing to do with 80s magic.
You are right 👍
The ladies of the 80's are pure class.
Most of them were. We also had Madonna, who was pretty racy for the era.
My favorite Expose` song .The 80s were a golden time for music 💗
no cuss words, no trashy outfits...just three beautiful women with beautiful voices singing...
Agreed. The lyrics are clean and 80's had a larger emotional range. My ears can't seem to find them in today's music. 😂
we were so spoiled in the 80s with great songs like this one
We all had class and glam in the club back then we all got along and enjoyed each other….great times.

Yes, I know. Truth is, I don't get approached by men, and I don't approach them. So, nothing has nor ever will happen. I guess it isn't meant to be.

Back when music was good. I saw expose open up for the new kids on the block in 89. Great concert and better times!
This peaked at #10 on Billboard. Their 6th consecutive Top Ten hit. Damn, they were hot.
Maaaaan..... I have been looking for the artist of this song for almost 30 years! Thanks Shazam!
Best of the 80's. Expose- Legendary band. Excellent music. Amazing voices.
Expose is such an elegant group of singers. Their voice as One, together like that, is sophistication itself. What I love the most about this group is that they're so normal looking.. yes, ordinary girls. And look how SPLENDID ordinary girls were, back then. xo
I was born in 1981 I love the 80s but I do wish I was in high school back when this song was made it would have been awesome.
80’s were magical we will never see or experience anything like them. No one can understand unless you lived them, no internet,no social media no cells phone etc… life was just so simple, this song is so beautiful.
I miss those 80's telephones.
Such A Beautiful Song, So Well Versed, So Powerful .... So Passion Filled....
Carla Linton. I remember this song when I was in High School in The 9th Grade. When I Look At Him by Expose. It is one of my favorite old school jams back in the day.
1985 WAS THE BEST YEAR OF THE POP MUSIC.
This was ‘89
I miss these days when people were not afraid to show their feelings for each other and affection for each other. These days it's all about being cool and acting like you don't give a sh!* about anybody. People just "hook up" but never really connect.
OMG... This song just took me back to High School!! Love it, thanks for posting!!
Me too...
Carla Linton. Another one of my favorite songs by Expose is Called When I Looked At Him. That's one of my favorite Old School Jams.
Sounds as sweet as the first time I heard this song.
With that voice, she could have been a diva.
It's a shame that it took 18 years for this master classic to reach more than 1 million views
