I also like to take notes as if I’m making a mind map because as a med student there’s just too many things going on and even if I understand it at the moment, I’ll forget all the relationships between everything I learned after a while 😂 Your mind map is so neat and dense tho! Mine is just dense only...😢

I like them a lot!! It was my first time making one but definitely planning on making more :)
If I can give you an advice for mind maps, don’t use more than 4 words, always make short the info, and use colors to make a relation, it could work well for learn and keep only the important info, I made some mind maps a very long time for school, and these was things that I’ve learn. 💖

Aww I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!! And I basically just use GoodNotes for my re-written notes that I print out. Notability is where I take the lecture notes when I'm in class, do worksheets, study, and import textbooks!

Hi! Nice style! As a high school senior going into bio I'm wondering how much notebooks you go thru per sem or year. What is a good estimate to plan for if you take lecture notes then copy those neater in a nice notebook. Also when you plan on printing your iPad notes how much pages would that add up too? I LOVE your idea of a nice notebook to have everything in it and study with it and keep it even after college! As a reference and keepsake! :) Love your work!

are you studying more than the average student at your uni or does everyone there do this insane amount of work too?? I'm a junior in high school so I don't know if it's just high schoolers not really caring that much or when you go to uni everyone's just suddenly constantly on their grind and you need to keep up

ik this prob isn't the answer you're looking for but it really depends on your major, college, and (just like in hs) how much you care. as a second year art student i do less "studying" but still put more time into art. the time you need to do work just increases throughout your degree but you also get better at managing it. hope this helps :)
I go to the same school she does, and I think it depends on your major. She’s going for a very hard major and she is taking some very challenging classes. I study that amount for my more challenging classes
She does a lot of rewriting of her notes as well as other studying tips, but most of what she is showing is reorganizing the notes she has. Most colleges seem to have this much work and more
She recopies her notes which is very time consuming (and in my opinion not the most effective 😬). I am also a veterinary student but in Belgium and it’s a lot of work but you need to be smart with your time. In my first year all I did was study because I hadn’t find my system yet.
Now what I do is take notes during lectures and read and highlight my textbooks. Then combine both in flashcards on quizlet (flashcard tip: make the term side of you flashcards always in a question format, write the answer in your own words).
And that’s it. For chemistry and physics I do the practice problems and I study the flashcards at regular intervals.
Recopying notes is satisfying but it’s passive learning and very time consuming.

I find mind maps are more beneficial when you format them in a way where you try to connect the major ideas! Idk about you but the way you did it seemed more like a summary sheet which can be helpful, but maybe try next time to connect each topic together like a "pathway" style in case you get questions like "How does a relate to b?" or "explain a situation where both a and b are occuring". Just a suggestion!! Love love love your videos!!!!

How do you write so straight in Notability. In GoodNotes you have the grid, but in notability (for your lecture notes) it’s blank. So how the heck do you make your writing straight?

It's just blank white paper in Notability. For my neat notes I use grid lined

How do I find your group on good wall? The link just opens the app but doesn’t take me anywhere. The group search says no results :(
I show how to do it in the video. Create an account. Open the app and click on the messaging icon in the top right corner. Select "Groups" at the top and then in "search channels" type in Kaitlyn Films or the group names and they'll pop up! LMK if you need any more help!
