Hye kaitlyn, i guess maybe you should using timelapse on your phone camera when studying because it's really save a lot of storage rather than using real time and speed it when you edit the video, it's just recommendation hehe, btw I really love all of your videos 😍😍

Active recall is so good to help with semantic encoding! I use a similar method with flashcards and it's been a total game changer!
I also hung up my weekly schedule today, and I think it really helps me stay motivated! As a med student I’ve got so much work accumulated because I’ve been procrastinating lately, but yeah after hanging up my schedule I was able to actually get some work done. Really recommend it to everyone and your mushrooms are adorable 🍄

Btw just a tip: When you do the spreadsheet method, start your active recall of the spreadsheet atleast 5 mins after making it so there is time between making the spreadsheet and testing yourself with it. Amazing video!

Can you do a video on how you stay focused and motivated? My school is officially online and I cant get myself to study since a lot of my teachers have made exams open notes to make the semester easier.

Hi! Nice style! As a high school senior going into bio I'm wondering how much notebooks you go thru per sem or year. What is a good estimate to plan for if you take lecture notes then copy those neater in a nice notebook. Also when you plan on printing your iPad notes how much pages would that add up too? I LOVE your idea of a nice notebook to have everything in it and study with it and keep it even after college! As a reference and keepsake! :) Love your work!

Anki is a great tool for active recall. It does what you were doing on the spread sheet for you. You just have to add the questions :)!

Perfect timing! Do you use a certain color code for your notes?
Nah I usually just use whatever I started with at the beginning of the semester for that subject. It wasn't anything intentional but each subject has certain colors that I use!

Hey, I was just doing hours ago some question-answer on excel. Not done yet cuz I'll continue tomorrow. But after I am done, I will convert it into CSV so that I can access those in Anki. Just a tip to all. You can watch a sample of excel/google sheets to anki on yt

This was a great video!! I have a question though. When going through your active recall spreadsheet, do you only go over each question once? For example, the red labeled questions. Do you just try once, label red, and move on from it or do you label it red and still go over them until you have a better understanding of the answer?

How do you take lecture notes on your iPad and use the same iPad to re-write your final draft notes? Do you take pictures of the lecture notes so you accurately write the information down?

Have you tried using anki before? Algorithm does the spaced repetition part for you!
do you like using an excel sheet for recall or notecards like anki?
I think both methods are nice! I like the spreadsheet way right now but I don't mind flashcards

Out of curiosity does your phone ever lose a lot of battery and start heating up when u film for extended periods of time? Mine does that so I usually use timelapse mode but there's no way of controlling the speed on iPhone and it changes depending on how long u film for ;-;
No mine does not! I have the XR and usually have no problem with it

Have you had any trouble with goodnotes saying you don’t have enough space and just shutting down?
No I haven't really. I think the app has crashed a couple times but it always saves my progress
so motivating! quick question, do you print out your neat GoodNotes notes? 💗🦋
