PR is a very small island (100 miles by 35 miles)... For every 1 boxer in PR, there are 30 in Mexico, the chances of a good prospect is higher, the more you have.
Yes there are many Puerto Ricans born in the US, but the culture of how they are raised is very different, just as the MANY mexicans born in the US, they don't really share that pure culture as those in the main land.
I'm not saying, they're all like that, because some do embrace their heritage, but the life style is very different.
