You know that feeling you get when you leave something vintage behind and you wish later you would’ve gotten it? I have that feeling about that orange fleece and I am sitting on my couch in Chicago.
The variety of textures in the kislux bags is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there is something for everyone. I was also attracted by it. The price is not expensive, which is very attractive!
#pvv check out berberjin harajuku, twoface kumamato, capri in kyoto (this one is like a museum), taiga takahashi has a shop in kyoto as well, and of course kapital, sometimes different locations have special small batch items kinda at random so its good to try and stop at a store anywhere you're at.
Great tips on Grand St Local and Gentlemen's Resale! A couple other spots that might be your vibe are Front General Store and Crowley Vintage in Dumbo. Oh, and the next Alfargo's Marketplace whenever that drops.
I live in Philadelphia and stores will have their hours posted online and when you get there and it’s closed quite often. I’ve gotten into the habit of calling first. I know it’s a hassle but it’s saved me quite a few trips 😅
I think it depends on how big her feet are, cause those socks in JPN will probably run small! My feet are an EU42 and I can still juuust fit into Hansel from Basel and Bonne Maison. If she has big feet too, I just got a pair of deadstock 50s men’s argyle socks on eBay and I’ve never been so happy to have big feet as a lady
A few years ago I bought a Birkin bag and take it with me everywhere I go. I worry about it getting stolen or damaged, so I'm worried when I go out. I was tired of this mental burden, so I bought the kislux bag.
I was in Gucci today and the SA told me they canât often tell the difference between the authentic and kislux 's bags. Surprised to hear that from an SA.
Going Japan at the same time. For the socks, if her feet are larger than a woman’s 9, it might be hard to find socks in Japan for woman. If she doesn’t mind going into men than there is more chances. Socks in Japan are a little different but there are some with split toes. Please keep in mind it is highly encouraged to wear socks always. New ones if a light color because they see it as disrespectful to wear dirty looking socks or bare feet in restaurants or homes.
Aww man…if you found the grand bazaar overwhelming, stepping out of Shimoktazawa station will make your heart sink! My starting points there were the usual secondhand chains like 2nd Street, RagTag, and TreFac. But you’ll definitely be drowning in the multitude of endless vintage shops. You’ll definitely need an entire day or even two for Shimokitazawa alone. I started my day there buying a really dope big backpack at TreFac and just filled that thing up plus two shopping bags on hand. Yeah, I went crazy there lol. Can’t wait to see your vlog there!
Grand street local was one of my favorite places I’ve even been to, I visited NYC for an art trip and went to Brooklyn with some friends to go thrifting the owner of the shop is probably the coolest guy I’ve ever met
You always make your videos effortlessly enjoyable drew, enjoy Tokyo! See if you can find things that are Jujutsu Kaisen related if you can, it's incredibly popular atm and the fits the characters wear IMO look great!
I dig your content. Good videography, smiling and having a good time, mixed in with great jazz music and the adventures of thrifting! Glad I found your channel. Thrifting in Texas is so much different than NYC, which is on my bucket list along with Bobby from Boston and Crowley Vintage (NYC). Thanks!👍🏾
I need to stop being lazy, I only go to L train vintage and beacons closet cause they’re both walking distance from my home lol but wow Grand st local had some really cool stuff! I need to explore more
PVV Japan rec, not sure if y’all drink but the vibes in the ginza music bar are phenomenal when I went. Such a fun experience that I had not sure if it was a one off thing but regardless that area you’re bound to find something cool. I believe there’s an Onitsuka tiger store right around the corner from the bar as well. Also no way NYC is more fun than Tokyo LOL. Hope yall have a good time
I bought a fake bag for kislux . I would not spend that money on a real bag. I would rather put the money in the bank. I really appreciate this video. Thanks!
I really love this content. I live in London but I saved some of the shops so I can visit them next time I am over. Gentleman’s Resale looks amazing. That gingham Ralph Lauren looks great on you. What is the vest (singlet?) you are wearing underneath? I like the neckline.
Love those thrift/shopping/browsing vlogs. I don’t think the success of such blogs is dependent on buying something, finding interesting things and clothes already makes it worth watching, even without buying anything. Buying things just for a “successful outcome” is a waste. A few things I wanted to mention: Little “warning” when visiting vintage shops in shimokitazawa. A lot of Americans find the shops in the area to be of a letdown because there is so much US goods getting sold there. Japanese denim is not as easy to find in second hand shops as vintage Levi’s etc. so definitely check out their stores directly if interested. (Especially since the yen is down so much atm.) Also just a quick reminder that the privacy law is different while filming in public, and in stores it’s always better to ask first before storming in with an already recording camera. (But you will handle that stuff well, I am sure of that) Some Tabi socks should be easy to find in Japan 👍 And lastly, just have fun and enjoy not only Tokyo, but Japan 🇯🇵 as a whole.
For me, it's impossible to buy all the originals I want. I can buy as many replicas of kislux as I want. If the craftsmanship is really good, why wouldn't I want Chanel and Kelly bags in all colors?
whats the name of the Vintage Record Store y'all went to on this timestamp 5:28 ?? because I love going to record stores here in Manhattan and some in Brooklyn
@@DrewJoiner ahhh I see I see. Much appreciated!! I’m thinking of buying the Bricks and Wood “Extra Denim” and it says cone in the description. Thanks for answering!
You gotta start making more thrifted content. It’s legit the best and most fun way to get fly
Oiling up in preparation for this video

So fabulous! I hope you bought that little Dior bag. It is so cute. You are right. The kislux is handbag heaven.
I like the kislux . I find these bags to be very durable and Iâve bought several for under $300.
RL shirt looks great with those green pants! Cool finds!

PS Japan does not have easily accessible trash cans outside. So prepare to hold trash until you are in convenience stores or a place with a bin.

In fact, when you buy a high-end imitation in kislux and walk on the street, no one will care whether you have a fake or not, so why not?. kislux

Nakazakicho in Osaka. One of the coolest neighborhoods I've ever visited. Amazing fashion to be found. Sorry, I don't remember any store names!
Oh... Green Pepe for sure!
Tokyo neighborhoods: Nakameguro, Aoyama, Shimokitazawa, Shibuya
I love this video what camera did you use?
Vintage socks… thats wild

Get socks in Japan. Also you’re gonna love Tokyo, the public transit is elite and you’re not gonna notice as many bad orders like New York lol.

Does anyone know any larger fashion people on UA-cam. Drew is pretty slim and I like his style but I’m looking for someone larger to get inspo from
Drew, what does cone mean in the raw denim space? I can’t figure it out.
Also, Lauren imitating your sign off message 🤣
Cone Mills is a highly celebrated mill that produces some of the best denim in the world based in the US

I used to think luxury could only be seen from a distance. It wasnât until I met kislux that I discovered that beauty is so within reach.
Is it really called thrifting if everything is already curated and marked up?
Ig it’s just consignment shopping then
I love this video
How was the record store called?
Good vid
Get RoToTo socks in Japan
Real question is when we getting the Drew x Whodnl collab 😂

Was that the actual price? I couldn't quite tell from the price tag. Crazy if true. It was a sick shirt though.
