How To Mount or Unmount Rubber Stamps
There are many reasons you may want to mount or unmount rubber stamps. You may want to unmount a stamp to save space, so you can use it with an acrylic block or because it does not stamp well attached to it's wooden block. I will show you how to unmount wooded stamps.
It is economical to but unmounted rubber stamps, you can save 50% or more this way. I will show you how to make these into cling mount stamps to use with acrylic blocks or how to mount them to wooden blocks. I have my hubby cut and sand scrap wood for me to use for this purpose.
For unmounting you will need: Heat tool, hair dryer or microwave. You may also want some vinyl, cling film or Aleens Tack it over and over glue to prepare these for use with acrylic blocks (if the foam tears or is not sticky enough to sticky to a block when you remove it)
To mount your bare rubber stamps you will need:
Fun foam, wood blocks and rubber cement (or you can do what I did and run your fun foam through a xyron machine!)
If you do not want to mount your stamps to wood you will need cling foam or Aleens tack it over and over glue to make the rubber cling-able for use with acrylic blocks.
