My family and I are so grateful that I get to do this.
Dear Crafsman, thank you for existing, the internet is a much brighter place with you on it. With love from the UK, Olivia
What ^She^ said!!!
You probably dont care at all but does anybody know a way to get back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot the login password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Malakai Valentin Instablaster ;)
@Ahmad Ronald Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
You are an English teachers dream
Today I learned what that little hole on the side of a caulk gun is for.
Me too...along with that metal stick thingy! LOL
No kidding! My mind is blown
I think I said the same thing when did a whole video on the silicone recipes a couple of years ago: ua-cam.com/video/5h49hjY6Psgf/v-deo.html
Sounds like the real winners are your teeth!
Me too LOL 🤣
My wife and kids let me sleep in this morning.
Waking up now with a cup of coffee, and The Crafsman.
Love my Steadycraftn Sunday's.
I'm jealous
@@mattk6101 Sleeping in is a rare luxury!
Spent all night installing flooring while the kiddos were sleeping!
Life can be so lovely 😊
Great topic. On a side note, I wanted to mention it was the first time I watched one of these videos in front of my cat. As soon as my cat heard CrafsMan talking, he stopped, dropped, and paid attention to the screen. I think he expected to be pet. Must have liked the mellow smooth voice and quite frankly, the fur-like qualities of CrafsMan's hair.
That’s delightful!
Laughed so hard after the first corn starch and silicon attempt when you said "first off I'm gonna show you how not to do it" 😂🤣😂🤣 You're the best Crafsman
this is my first time seeing something from this channel and it is an ABSOLUTE DELIGHT
oh no, welcome-addictive if you like humour, intelligence and kindness
hey Crafsman. I love your content. I want to share a little hack with you. If you melt your petroleum Jelly it becomes brushable and easier to spread for a short period of time. I like to scoop some into a tin or jar and then stick that onto a candle warmer for a bit. The key is to keep it set on the candle warmer. EXTRA TIP: once you get it into the mold, you can run the lubricated mold over some mild heat to level things out a bit. I tend to be very conservative with the amounts.
I hope this helps someone who needs it.
Thank you for all you posting your knowledge on youtube. I've learned so much over the years because of it.
Thank you, Venton! I've been thinning it with mineral spirits, but this is good to know!
Sure appreciate you!
Firmnicity definition: "The, uh, rubber stampyness factor divided by the sculpy constant"
As an older lady I love that you keep exposing me to "modern" materials and crafts. Your style is so encouraging and your videos are so enjoyable. Thank you for creating content that folks of all ages can get into!
Yaya, you will NEVER get old as long as you’re open to learning something new. Keep your mind active. Keep your hands busy. Walk every day.
Watching this with the "auto generated" captions on is a real ride.
I love everything about these videos.
This. Always watch twice. 2nd time around kick on those captions.
lol agreed!
Hilarious
Rubble Stan and a little spam 😄 I love catching this type of stuff on all kinds of videos.
How do I get auto captions please?
I'm computer challenged.
Kim
As a kid i used to cut stamp patterns / letters into big erasers with a box cutter! 😁
Me too!
And I also made stamps with big potatoes. ..!!
Yeah, we did that too - soft PVC worked best... interestingly, in Asia people prefer soft PVC plates over real lino when doing block/lino printing... pricey stuff though.
Yep. Draw your design on a piece of paper with a 2B pencil then press the eraser onto the design and then just cut out the negative space.. works great. Like a lino print 👍😊
I still cut stamps from big erasers! Use better cutting tools these days though :)
I still do lol. This looks much easier!
Every time I watch The Craftsman my body feels like it’s drinking a fresh sweet tea
People outside of the South do not understand what a great compliment you paid Crafsman.
@@jerrywhidby. I live up north. We know lol
Jerry Whidby breaking: sweet tea does not exist outside of the south
@@jerrywhidby.
I'm from England and I know what a compliment that is (we appreciate tea in general).
@@MrArtVein every time I have asked for sweet tea in a northern state I have been given either berry tea, or unsweet tea with a packet of splenda. I once explained that sugar goes into the tea, and they added sugar to cold tea for me. That's all just anecdotal of course.
Your videos are awesome. As a part-time art instructor who is working with kids that often don't have the funds to buy "professional" art materials, I appreciate that you always encourage viewers to try a low-cost alternative. Again, your videos are truly outstanding, both from a didactic as well as an artistic standpoint.
i like you craftman. you're like the bob ross of crafts, man
Oil soap is a great release agent because with some water it cleans itself out .
Sometimes art school memories come in handy but we learn more from you.
crafsman is too wholesome and like nine of the videos i watched were accessible in price / alternative materials to make the techniques widely available to everyone
I looked at the video length said "ehhhhh... maybe not *this* one". Then I read "TheCrafsMan" and immediately changed that tune! I could watch your content for hours
Every single time I'm on the brink of boredom, craftsman uploads, thanks craftsman
You are one of my most favorite humans.
What an absolute joy you are.
I completely agree.
You, Sir, are an awesome human being! Thank you so much for your fun way of sharing how to do crafting. I just ran across your videos. I'm gonna watch them all.
Tip: Glue a print from your stamp to the top side of the stamp, in the correct orientation. Helps avoid silly mistakes, helps finding the right stamp if you have a drawer full.
Old school stamps, the way books were printed in china for centuries: Copy your artwork onto tracing paper; glue the tracing paper to a (rubber) slab, back side up; looking through the paper at the artwork, carve away to make islands of th artwork. Remove the paper bits and stamp.
There's a faster but slightly more dangerous version that we used to use in the 70s. Take your artwork, flip it upside down over a light table and trace the outline with a ballpoint pen. That gives you a reverse drawing. Then take the rubber stencil (or stamp) and wipe it down with gasoline. Immediately put the pen ink side of the drawing on the stencil, and rub it with a roller or wooden stick. The ink will transfer to the rubber. Then cut it out with a heavy duty x-acto knife. That works for stencils for stamps and for rubber stencils for sandblasting. Suggest not smoking during the operation.
This is a great idea! I used to make stamps with the little rubber letters, but this looks much better and easier. You can buy or make stamp pads, probably for less than $5, and get or make colored ink for them. The nicest pads have a smooth fabric layer on top that is tight, so that just the printing part of the stamp gets the ink. The plain felt pads work ok, but they get ink in the little grooves, too, and eventually the grooves get clogged up with dried ink.
Always sand your new stamps with 220 grit sandpaper. Gently run it horizontally then vertically. It gives the stamp surface something for ink and paint to adhere to. If you use an ink pad, use the pad to ink the stamp. So you press the inkpad onto the surface not vice verse. If you are using paint, use a brayer to spread out your paint and thinly coat your stamp. This is good practice for any stamps commercial or handmade.
A piece of wood with its very own paper towel hole already in it? Genius!
Your voice is EVERTHING! I'll watch your videos just to hear your voice. Oh. And thanks for the tutorial. I'll give it a try.
Hay crafman you are the best Crafsmen show I have ever watched on UA-cam. I have recently bought some of your merchandise. A excellent crafted coffee mug. I can't wait to
Receive it. Thank you crafman for steady crafting. And inspiring me to be a steady crafting.😁
I came across your channel about a year ago looking up "handcrafted" wirewrap techniques for myself... Although your tutorials were way out of my range League lane & comfort zone, your character voice & way of speaking had me from jump! Your knowledge is obviously so extensive & valuble.. My grandmother is more atistic than crafty so i took some of your tips to her & its been fun... But today is special bc I FINALLY GOT A CRAFSMAN RECOMMENDATION FOR MY SEARCH! Im looking up how to make stamps for my wire wrapping AND IM SO EXCITED TO SEE U ITS RIDICULOUS 😂😂 Coffee & wakenbake already in progress but u just made my morning! 😂😂❤❤ Thanks! Will be back to donate what i can on paydayyy
I was just watching a different Crafsman video when this one came up. Immediately hopped over here to see what you're cooking up. Love it.
Another great video! A recipe for DIY liquid release agent: mix petroleum jelly with mineral spirits. The mineral spirits will evaporate and leave the petroleum jelly on the mold.
Yesss! That's a good one! I always forget that one, too!
@Cory Gill I would guess just enough spirits to thin it to a point it easily coats the surface.
@@Skoozi Yes, exactly. Each petroleum jelly manufacturer seems to have their own formula, so I just wing it. Thin it down and test it to see if it dries thick enough.
I knew someone would have tips in the comments! Thank you!
The arming the chalk gun sounds were extremely satisfying.
Agree. "Don't make any sudden moves, or I will make you water-resistant."
Craftsman, got to love the puppet.
But it wasn't until I heard that soft, gentle whisper voice that I said, whoa. You need to be an audio reader for people to listen to before going to sleep like a gentle story, Bible, or poetry. Your voice is awesome, it's so soothing.
The firmnicity of the CrafsMan's command of this here way of teaching folks is alright.
If a perfect comment exists, this is it.
Bob Ross vibes
Wow, I’ve never run across your videos before but you’re a trip, so soothing to listen to and so informative! I now feel the need to binge watch!
This channel is going to take over the internet.
Thanks CrafsMan! This is exactly what I've been looking for ... I plan to make silicone stamps to create designs on melted solder. I'm excited to try this! Your video library is a treasure house of inspiration and how-to. I like how you demonstrate the results of all your techniques and experiments ... I like to see how things work. 😁😁😁
This channel is so underrated. I can’t believe I haven’t been here before but now that I am, I suddenly feel the need to binge watch every single video just to here crafsmans voice. ♥️♥️♥️
Everytime you mix that 2 part silicone, it reminds me of the old time grape Hubba Bubba bubble gum. I miss that.
The apple and strawberry ones are awful now as well.
Thank you Sir. You would be surprised how much these videos help.
Very kind of you to say!
I should have expected it was you when I saw how clever and simple the preview was!
Your voice is heaven to my ear's and you alway's make me smile. Thank you.
I've been wanting to try and make a stamp of my logo for awhile but never got around to it, now I have no excuse. Thanks for sharing!
Hope you give it a shot, Dan! :D
My fave molding compound is Oyumaru, aka The Blue Stuff. It's a reusable thermoplastic that takes great detail, doesn't require mold release even if making 2 part molds, and sticks to almost nothing. It will destroy EVA foam but most other materials I've tried work fine.
This is really cool. I'm gonna make one that says 'TOP SECRET' on it
Nice
Make two more to go with it:
- Middle Secret
- bottom secret
A bathing suit that says top secret across the top, and bottom secret on the rear of the bottom in fabric paint.
Two of my favorite rubber stamps ever - "OPENED AND INSPECTED FOR CONTRABAND" and "PLEASE RESUBMIT IN ARABIC".
I speak spanish so I understand just a half of what you says , but I love your vids , very useful, thanks , congrats and greetings from Argentina.
You are one most generous whimsical human beings I've ever met. This was so beautiful and pure. Thank you so much craftman
Your videos are highly appreciated. Thank you for so many hours.
Oh man, I've got corn starch and silicone already at home. I officially have no excuse not to try this.
Oh yes, try it! You'll probably get addicted to it like I am now... thanks to the Crafsman 😁
I thought the same thing, ha ha. The silicone is for my mason jar lamps and there is plenty of corn starch around here. 😁
Do you also have a puppet though? 😉
Not only did I hit the like button, but I saved this one! I want to make a little insignia of my initials for my polymer clay crafts, and now I know how. Thank you so much! xox
PS: love you back!
Best video on UA-cam EVER! I watched the entire video even though this wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. Made my day!
You have a really nice teacher voice, I like it :)
Been waiting 2 years to see the real craft man😊
Hiii from southern Africa. FUNNIEST DIY video ever. I learned and I laughed. I subscribed immediately
Another fine Crafsman Steady Crafting product! For real!
Now, hold up, Mr. Crafsman Sir! So why come I did not know to this very today that a caulking gun had a snippers an' a poker built all up into it ?! See dere, Mr. Crafsman? You teaching me stuffs without even teaching it! I would like to thank you very much for that , so thank you very much for that!
This is the best channel on YT. Your videos are the best. 😂❤️
This was very helpful. I'd been making my rubber stamps using large erasers that I bought from the dollar tree, then cut the design out with a x-acto knife and some old wood carving tools I got. I will have to try out these method out.
"We just gon' use tha rite thuh....." Love it! 😅 I could listen to him talk all day lol
It always makes so happy and comforted to see you have posted a new video! Thank you!
Craftsman, your videos are like a hug for the soul. I bought some Super Sculpey because of you and I’m excited to see what is waiting to be born from that little package of clay.
I love you Crafsman! Im gonna keep asking for a cooking with the Crafsman spin off though
Crafsman, I'm craftin' digital stuff all day. Today is a rough day. Your videos are my relaxin' therapy right there.
I never knew about this method of embossing something. Genuinely awesome, and I always love watching your vids late at night. A soft soothing voice
Love you craftsman. Thanks for being you and understanding that we can love people regardless of their geographical location of nationality, just because they are a person, and in general people are awesome. ❤️👍
(At least that's what I would like to think you feel when you say you love us😅)
The Crafsman never fails to entertain... And I learn a few new things along the way. Thank you
Thank yo for giving us the 3D printer program to make the stamp. I don't have a 3D printer, but it was nice of you to be so generous.
Such a fun channel. I love the subtle humor, the puppet, and all the great ideas!
Your voice is sooo relaxing and comforting!! Thank you for the MOST helpful information!
Gotta love the morning Crafsman videos
Another SteadyCraftin video with information that I know I will use someday! (In fact, it's knowledge I wish I had many times in the past!) Many thanks, TheCrafsman!
Sometimes I skip through videos to get to the main points, but you seriously have the best voice ever! Love this! You have a new follower.
My crafty friend and I think your channel is the best! We call each other on the phone saying "hello. this is the crafsman..." We want to take you and crafsmama out to dinner! Please!
Awesome! Love your voice as well as the easy to understand instructions. 💜
Anyone ever fall asleep to these videos sometimes like ASMR? It’s just like falling asleep to Bob Ross. I enjoy these videos so much. Informative, creative, entertaining, and sleep inducing. ❤️
I recently started writing letters and was wondering how to diy stamps then you make this. Wow thanks so much for sharing.
Wow, thank you so much. This is the best channel. I was just thinking about buying a stamp for my products on Etsy yesterday. This is going to save me like 20 dollars.
This is great CrafsMan. Really great and everything youtube should be...original, useful, fun!!
This is the best channel on UA-cam

Craftsman, you are the best, I love your DYI videos. Thank you for all that you do.
Wow! Amazing video. This is exactly what I wanted to try and you covered it all. Thanks so much!
WOW! you've done it again.....educated us! Thank you for sharing. Most of all, thank you for you unique commentary style.
This was super well done and utterly amusing
I miss these types of videos!!
Firmnicity?! What a great word!!! 😹🙌🏾
Thx so much Craftsman! I love all your videos! They are informative and make me smile😁
This is great! I have been hand carving rubber stamps and these are some cool techniques I'll need to try.
Your a bright light of joy and happiness in the world who shares so much . Thank you .
This is my first time viewing a craft man video, and I'm in love!
I've always wanted to make a stamp I didn't think I'd be able to do it at home thank you so much crafsman!!
I absolutely love your videos, info, and your personality 😘 thank you for being so awesome
I remember making stamps in High school. Very cool to see the process you used! May steal this for some business cards
“Straight up Handmade”? I ❤️ that!
I was only trying to find a rubber recipe bc I power through rubber blocks like crazy but this. This is beautiful. Thank you!
Firmniscity 😅 I love all these unique words he uses lol
Oh man, Crafsman. I was waiting for this one. I love the Versamark version.
