Really great gift for Mike to give to his father.
Thank you Mike, I hope he likes it.
Outstanding job on the Eagle Globe and Anchor. As a Retired Marine, that is awesome.
Thanks, Michael! And more importantly, thank you for your service!
Wowwww. What a beautiful carving
Thanks Jay! It was a blast to carve!
Incredible work! I’m impressed!

Thanks Lori! It was definitely a challenge, but it was a blast to make!
That’s so cool! Did a great job on that Ryan and Eric
Thanks, Tom!
So awesome
Thank you!!!
Awesome
Thanks Efren!
Very nice!! Good job on it! I did the marine Corp one myself couple of years ago. I emailed the picture and a couple of others that I've done. Thanks for the reply back on them.
Thanks Steven! You did a great job on them!
Thank you so much!!
Thank you!!!
Love both carves, but especially the USMC one. Have done 2 of the eagle logo myself but not with all the painting. This looks so much better! Great job as usual. BTW, the inset comments during the carve is a great addition. The comments and info is very helpful.
Thanks buddy! I'm glad the new editing experiments are working out!
Great job, Ryan! I use the Cricut to make decals of military logos for my desk flags and the Marine logo is the hardest to weed because of all the tiny details. Routing all those details would be so much harder. I enjoy watching all your videos. Keep up the good work!
Thank you Gayle, see you soon!!!
Tell us more about the bus! Is there a video somewhere?
😂😂 Well, I don't know much about the bus we're in front of, but Mike from @modernbuilds did a whole bus to tiny home video series and it's awesome!
Can I just purchase rounds to do this? When you say panel board, what do you mean? Great video.
Home Depot and Lowes have rounds but in my experience they are difficult to freehand route. Panel board is my name for a product carried by the box stores that are smaller pieces that are glued together to make bigger boards. Somewhat like the butcher block idea. Most of the ones I have seen are ponderosa pine. Here's a video where we show the panel board ua-cam.com/video/82vXe2SO5BE/v-deo.html
Very nice work. Why do you think people are drawn to wood signs so much. Could it be because its something they personalize?
I think there's a few reasons. 1) Because you can personalize and customize the almost whatever the customer wants 2) Because they're handmade, and that's a rare skill these days and 3) because they're unique. Every single one we make is a little different. Each sign has it's own "fingerprint"
That round..is that the glued edge rounds at box store?
Yes sir it is. And that thing was not easy to carve… At all!
I have done 2 of them and wow not easy. The different grains are difficult to hold the line, any suggestions for future after your experience with it? I have a 16" inch round order coming up.
We have glued up redwood lumber and just cut the round out of that. It’s definitely more work but it looks really nice! Make sure your price reflects the extra material cost and work
@@oldave100 absolutely... Redwood here in Ohio tough to get, but maybe some Aspen maybe be the way to go. Much appreciated and appreciate all you and your family do to keep little wood workers like myself a positive outlook.
Nice work guys. What model is that Dewalt disc sander you use?
I believe it's the DWE6041DS
@@oldave100 Thank you
How is that Dewalt disk sander holding up? I've seen some reviews problems with longevity. I would imagine you guys use it daily. Just wondering before I get one.
We have 2 and use the crap out of them. We haven't had any issues at all.
@@oldave100 thanks..good to hear. These days just because it's a Dewalt, Milwaukee etc. doesn't mean it won't prematurely explode on you.
What would something like this sell for? Also, how many hours did you put in?
It's hard to say what it would sell for because it varies depending on where you're selling it. There's about 4 hours into this sign total, and with the painting I would sell this for somewhere around $250 in California.
I must admit, I miss the intro
Thank you for the feedback Nick, I appreciate it.
Just curious, but have you ever had issues getting permission to use or create these Marine Corp logos? As i know these are copy protected, not sure on the other branches of the military.
Never really had an issue with military stuff. I think mainly because the military wants as much support as they can get. It's basically free publicity. We've definitely run into those issues with sports teams and Harley stuff
have,nt earnes his stripes lol!!!!!!
Boy's got some work to do HAHA
