Steering damper doesn't extend on it's own otherwise it'd be pointless as you'd constantly be fighting the steering as it tries to extend. Damper is designed to hold in place across the whole range right and left. Stock damper is pretty good but OME damper is definitely an upgrade. Check your swivel preload if your getting a bit of wobble and also panhard rod bushes .
Honestly I say keep the wheels as-is. It looks tough as hell already and you'll just be losing mpg and ride comfort at that point. Cheers for the video, loved it.
Bigger wheels would look sick, but smaller looks more tactical and as u say they're better for comfort and environmental stuff. Keep up the good work, was nice to get a new vid on my b-day 😁💕
Can only imagine how mortifying it would be to see someone with awful taste repping your brand haha. You lads have given me the confidence to work on my own car these last few years, did some proper preventative rust treatment and protection over the weekend. Really enjoy the videos, cheers boys, defender is looking mint.
Great job and the truck is awesome. You could have put dislocation cones on when doing the rear, they’re fantastic if you end up cross axles as they just realign the springs. Keep up the great work cheers buddy 🤙
G'day from Australia I am loving the defender videos i have a land cruiser and am running 33s. I think if you go for bigger wheels and tyres you should look to do some power modifications as well for example bigger turbo or tune and some general work such as wheel bearings, swivel hubs and so on. love the videos keep it up.
Defender looking sick… really tempting to get one myself, regarding wheels keep current set up as you use it all the time plus it looks mint as it is 👌🏻👌🏻
Hey guys! Tremendous work!!!! I have a question for you, would it be possible to share your wheels and tires dimensions/offset and all , I want something sorta identical for mine! Thank you so much
As someone currently living in Texas, my experience with lifted trucks is that once you start to compromise things so that you can have slightly better tires, the whole truck becomes a pain in the ass to drive etc
Keep the 33’s! I went bigger on my Ranger overland build and ended up going back down for those longer road trips 🤙🏻 unless youre rock crawling and all that not much point
Keep the same wheel/tire size as what is currently on it, so it is still good to drive on the road for long distances rather than just on green lanes :)
35s with mud terrain tyres always look better but like you said, the fuel consumption etc might not be worth it! Can also run into some issues with the bigger tyres rubbing on parts in the wheel well but might not be an issue on the defender.
Bigger wheels look good but with the distance you're covering in this thing you need it to be as comfortable as possible. Plus the mpg will help when you go fuck off to the highlands again
I don’t know if it’s the same with a defender but if you Got a bigger J wheel On the rear won’t that affect the handling in a bad way if you go Mudding and shizzle ????
If you've got extended shocks you'll probably find the springs will dislocate, also you'll need extended brake flexis, should of done a pin to pin conversion for the shocks on the rear and also extended bumpstops not standard.
Send it on bigger wheels,My discovery was on 15x8 modulars & 31" bf Goodrich's on a 2inch lift & i've now stepped up to 16x10 modulars & 33" special track insa turbo's
Chuck some air bags in your rear springs for when loaded and r trippin. Airbag Man Aus. They'll prolong your rear end from drooping prematurely. Then get a decent pump. Deflate inflate, just like your rubber. More offset or bigger tyres will make you more stable, especially in the wet stuff. But as you gentlemen know, it comes at a price! 😉
Looks wise, I would stick to the wheels you have now. If you want to do some proper offroading then I would go for the bigger ones. Either way I'm sure it'll look sick.
I'd love to see Andy get his own project on the channel, more Andy jobbies!
andy needs to turbo his 940 😂
@@taylorvousdenaged perfectly
Poor guys probably watching this and found out he’s the sole reason the stickers got discontinued 😂
was just thinking that 😂 now i’ve gotta buy something to put a big bqr sticker on my car 🤣
I belive those guys learned very important lesson. There is consequences to your actions. 🤣🤣
20 minute Boq video, what a treat at the beginning of the week
Watching how far you and the boys have come since the webisode days is unbelievable, keep going brother 💪
Steering damper doesn't extend on it's own otherwise it'd be pointless as you'd constantly be fighting the steering as it tries to extend.

That inserted cat clip had me creasing 🤣🤣
Honestly I say keep the wheels as-is. It looks tough as hell already and you'll just be losing mpg and ride comfort at that point. Cheers for the video, loved it.
The “pop” and cat cut had me rolling. Made my cat jump next to me. It as cat-ception
Bigger wheels would look sick, but smaller looks more tactical and as u say they're better for comfort and environmental stuff. Keep up the good work, was nice to get a new vid on my b-day 😁💕
One of the best parts in the vids… removing and installing the wheel nuts cinematic 🔥🥵
Can only imagine how mortifying it would be to see someone with awful taste repping your brand haha.
You lads have given me the confidence to work on my own car these last few years, did some proper preventative rust treatment and protection over the weekend. Really enjoy the videos, cheers boys, defender is looking mint.
A cleaning video on the landy would be sick, proper thorough clean would be great 👍
New design is sick love that personally I’d keep the wheels as they are, they look good with that amount of clearance
if going bigger tyres worsens how it feels to drive , then run it as it is, it looks good
Unless you find yourself bottoming out on the trail often I would keep the 33’s. The defender videos are my favorite by the way, keep ‘em coming. ✌️
Love the Landy content! Hope to own one myself one day as its a dream vehicle for me. The sticker swap to the black was a good move 👍
Your current wheel and tire combo still looks perfect
Now the defender looking mint I want some MTB trips done for summer 😂
Andy the grip reaper 😂😂
Been watching you since you bought the jag xf, loving how far you’ve come man 🙏
Definitely keep the wheels as they are! Also unrelated but mad love for the OAA shirt, latest album rips hard and sick to see the love for them!
Defender content is class! Much love from Durham!❤
Keep the 33” man better fuel economy for travelling. Big fans of the channel been watching for years
Could do with a shot of the defender turning from outside of the car to see how much the body roll has improved.
absolutely love this truck, looks so good!
Great job and the truck is awesome. You could have put dislocation cones on when doing the rear, they’re fantastic if you end up cross axles as they just realign the springs. Keep up the great work cheers buddy 🤙
absolutely you should do 35s, they would look super badass!!
The new rear window sticker looks sick would look so cool on a t-shirt
G'day from Australia I am loving the defender videos i have a land cruiser and am running 33s. I think if you go for bigger wheels and tyres you should look to do some power modifications as well for example bigger turbo or tune and some general work such as wheel bearings, swivel hubs and so on. love the videos keep it up.
was well excited seeing this in the sub box! Love a BQR upload!!!
Oh yeah mate, looks really nice with that 2" lift. Leave the tires and wheels alone. I believe it looks proportionate.
Defender looking sick… really tempting to get one myself, regarding wheels keep current set up as you use it all the time plus it looks mint as it is 👌🏻👌🏻
You need to tell me where Andy got his asahi t-shirt from! I love it 😂
Defender is looking great!
Hey guys! Tremendous work!!!! I have a question for you, would it be possible to share your wheels and tires dimensions/offset and all , I want something sorta identical for mine! Thank you so much
Love the defender videos would love to see some more adventures with you and the boys
Think current size wheels is good, especially for like longer trips n stuff. Keep up the great work, loving the vids man!
Leave the wheels, as wide wheels won't help the driving feel or have a major advantage off road.
The defender is looking mint keep the same tyres bqr123
I want to see Andy with his own defender. Wish he was my mate lol he’s class
binged watched the lot. Great videos, very entertaining, learned a lot ;-) Thank you
I think you should keep the stock wheels and tyres it looks sick especially if it driving alot better now love your vids BOQER keep them coming 😊
Stay with the same tires I love your defender as is.
As someone currently living in Texas, my experience with lifted trucks is that once you start to compromise things so that you can have slightly better tires, the whole truck becomes a pain in the ass to drive etc
good input cheers mate, I am thinking this too
@@boqer123 absolutely!! That 2-4 inch lift is the sweet spot for a lift! Anything more than that is when you start losing drivability
Keep the 33's & the original arches cos I think the extended ones look shit.
Keep the 33’s! I went bigger on my Ranger overland build and ended up going back down for those longer road trips 🤙🏻 unless youre rock crawling and all that not much point
Could say you lads didn't some spring cleaning
Yes Boq with the OAA shirt!
Babe wake up Bqr uploaded !
Yes! Deffo needs the bigger wheels and overfenders, loving the build tho, also must hurt seeing your brand on such a shed 😂
Used to go offroading at Salisbury Plain, was a very good place to go. Not sure if you've been, but give it a go
Another great video. Such easy watching. Would be good if you talk prices though?
Keep the same wheel/tire size as what is currently on it, so it is still good to drive on the road for long distances rather than just on green lanes :)
Give those hubs a lick of black paint. Will give it a much fresher look.
35s with mud terrain tyres always look better but like you said, the fuel consumption etc might not be worth it! Can also run into some issues with the bigger tyres rubbing on parts in the wheel well but might not be an issue on the defender.
Not gonna lie i much prefer the old BQR 9:31 design sticker compared to the new one. The new one looks like something an IT company would use. 😄
Challenging Day, this really gave me a LIFT !
Saw this in Chelt the other day pal. Looks mega!
Missus will be thrilled you added 2"!
Hey! 4 inches is HUGE ... ;-(
We need more frequent boq content🤧
Definitely run some bigger wheels they just look so much more aggressive
Love these videos, motivates me to do them extra little jobs that you wouldn’t usually do ✌🏼
enjoying these defender videos :D
Bigger wheels look good but with the distance you're covering in this thing you need it to be as comfortable as possible. Plus the mpg will help when you go fuck off to the highlands again
I always wanted a windscreen sticker…i completely understand why you discontinued them though 😂
Love all of this content very good watch even Andy’s toilet breaks 😂😂
you win mate! drop us an email to support@boqer123.com
Defo keep same wheels. Sticker is class 👌
This channel is just one big vibe! Don't stop being awesome Boq!
Andy grip on that shaft though 😮
Doesn't look terrible as it is! I'd say keep those wheels and tyres for now.
I don’t know if it’s the same with a defender but if you
Got a bigger J wheel
On the rear won’t that affect the handling in a bad way if you go
Mudding and shizzle ????
If you've got extended shocks you'll probably find the springs will dislocate, also you'll need extended brake flexis, should of done a pin to pin conversion for the shocks on the rear and also extended bumpstops not standard.
Lifted defender has got to mean bigger wheels to make it even more of a tank!
need to look at the gywn lewis challenge kit instead of bigger tyres. give +5 inches of travel from 11 inch dampners
Is that an airhorn I spotted under the steering guard ?
Smiles per gallon over miles per gallon everyday boys 🤙🏼
Send it on bigger wheels,My discovery was on 15x8 modulars & 31" bf Goodrich's on a 2inch lift & i've now stepped up to 16x10 modulars & 33" special track insa turbo's
what a unit
i think the bigger wheels wouldnt be worth the hassle just for a little bit of street cred, also giving me good ideas for my 240 Battlewagon project!
That Oceans Ate Alaska shirt is 🔥
The spring comparison is you vs the guy she tells you not to worry about
10j 35 for the win josh
Please repaint those front light grills 😂🙏🏻
35s, empire tuning map and hybrid turbo and injectors, intercooler

Wheels and tires would definitely set it off a lot more I say yes 👍
Dont know if they do the size but mud maxx would look class
Keep up andys landies!
Raggy beat,defender🔥⬛️
Looks wise, I would stick to the wheels you have now. If you want to do some proper offroading then I would go for the bigger ones. Either way I'm sure it'll look sick.
I still have one of them windscreen stickers unused. Bought it for my Mazda and never put it on. 😂
Bigger wheels bigger bad boyness
Bigger wheels all the way think of the clearance when going off road aswell as the added traction
No to big wheel's looks good as is
Put a spring dislocation kit on it for an increase to the amount of flex
More bigger everything, lift/tires/wheels, you got a vehicle for the highways so might as well make this for everywhere but the highways
Always a good day when a BQR vid drops! Maybe you should’ve worn some Ear Defenders(😉) when putting them springs in eh?😂
How are you resisting sorting out those grotty headlight guards, hubs and nuts!
I've been meaning to drop them all down to the powercoaters but just haven't got round to it haha
No one’s ever complained about something being bigger. Send it with the 10j and 35s I reckon
Andy needs a off-roader! I think a Jimny would suit him 👌
I used to run 42"s, anything over 33"s stock stuff tends to go snappy.
