You know with regard to the first SQS - the Northface. Several years ago when I worked at Nike I received a similar style Nike Bag (like 16 years ago), and I thought it was really cool but the rigidity and space the skeleton required, left it pretty unforgiving as well in terms of space and you really couldn't squeeze anything in as you can with with a roll top. It felt really constricting. That RFF at the end is really nice!
I meant to share with you...in picking up some Trakke sale products, in my chat online, they shared with me your video of the Trakke Largo sling review (of course I'd already seen it - and picked one up, thanks to you). Nice!
ATD1 is a beast, and I love that North Face jetpack thing. AC Daybreaker looks a lot like the TB Smart Alec. Can't wait to hear more about that bag. Great selection and I'm glad I got to see the ATD1 filled to the brim with awesome bags. As always, awesome patches!
Based on your review, I bought a Recycled Firefighter 24hr Battalion. For a ruck-style backpack, this has to be one of the best bargains in the market. Really well-crafted for the price, so thanks for the recommendation, dude. Having said that, I've realized that most rucksacks don't have enough organization for me. This is probably why I love my Tom Bihn Synik30 and the million pockets it has. But for simple EDC, the Recycled Firefighter is really awesome for the price. Your reviews are the best on YT, hands-down.
I appreciate that. And I like the RFF a lot. I keep this one all the time and use it way more often than I ever thought I would. And like you said, a lot of value considering the price. I don't love the Synik. I'm a Synapse guy. Video on the newest version of the Synapse next week, in fact :)
Loved it! I’m totally loving that NorthFace pack. It clicky lid is too cool, so cool in fact that I too could forgive it for not standing up and maybe, just maybe for not holding all of my crap.
I’d love that Daybreak as a packing cube to take it along as a daypack. You know that my love for GORUCK is unbounded and I’ve owned the Radio Ruck twice but always went back to the GR1 for versatility. Nice roundup, great variety and IMHO, just enough on each bag.
The Daybreak is great for what you said. Really nice, simple and light pack. The Radio Ruck, I think my favourite points are the fact it stands perfectly straight and the front pocket being a little more useable.
@@jtinseoul7041 the RR is a great bag, no question, it’s lighter than the 1 and a bit more compact but I just found it redundant. That said, I will no doubt buy it again and do the same dance because this addiction is relatively harmless.
I think you and I are similar in size, JT. The Radio seems like it might be a better fit/look for those of us that are somewhat vertically challenged? Thoughts?
Ok, please choose for me...GR1 21L or Radio Ruck (I do like the additional depth, not so much limitation of laptop size)....The Slick is a possibility too but..... I am getting a new Apple MacBook Pro (likely 13" but don't want to be locked in). Anything too short looks icky on me but I love my TB Synapse 19" (16," and I wish they would make one 17/18" long with a tad more capacity - so do their customers). The others are too long.... They have made new cache to accommodate inch bigger laptop)....I will get a GR2 26L if it ever comes back (for travel someday)...You still say Radio? A travel bag is what I am looking for or maybe both if I rob a bank. I would look at Recycled F. if it had raised laptop compartment...You know what would have been good video...only because you like Trakke...their stuff on sale and it's a lot of stuff. Ends tomorrow (Tuesday, 9a GMT). Super video, again!
It's so tough. I would tend to go with the RR if the laptop thing wasn't an issue. I should have mentioned here that bigger laptops fit fine in the ruck sleave inside the bag if you you don't fancy the back compartment. One thing I've been recommending some people is get the RFF and the Nedrelow MAgic Sleeve with the extra cash and that will raise your laptop in any bag you use. Still, if my laptop were 13/14inches I'd go with the RR. I wanna try that new Trakke clamshell bag but it's a little out of my price range at the moment. Wife has me on a serious budget for a while.
@@jtinseoul7041 P.S. I love my Largo (and Banana). You were right...I have some trepidation about the Trakke backpacks. I worry the bag will sit too far away from the back and the straps aren't padded enough. Quick access, too, is a concern (I much prefer the Cobra buckles). If you think/know differently, let me know. Have your wife write to me. I need her. Some sort of weird buying frenzy -which I can't afford - has taken over. The sales are hard to resist.

That's awesome, I had no idea! I love that sling.

Definitely spot on with the Daybreaker / SA comparison. I thought the same thing as soon as I got it.
The only bag I “EDC” is my gym bag and it’s my RFF 24-hour. It’s a great pack for me! Thanks for the content!
That's a great one to own!

Another great vid JT! Cool variety here. I'd never once considered that spec ops but she does look well made.
Haha dude, it's a good one! Was gonna recommend it to you for that new job stuff.

The 'not holding all my crap' was the more annoying bit ha. But for daily, works just fine.

Definitely. I would use is all the time if my new laptop fit in the back, ha.
What a party !
Thanks for the video!
You got it!
Does the Radio Ruck have the top quick access pocket like the one s added on their Heritage version and the GRCX?
It doesn't, but, I don't think it needs it as much as the gr1. Because the bottom is so wide the front slant pocket is much more useable on the Radio.
@@jtinseoul7041 Thank you 😊
Patches are triggering my ADD, gotta rewind and watch half the vid again.
SPECOPs make such good gear.
Definitely!
