    My introduction to Barrett was Broadway in Avenue Q. Imagine my surprise when he shows up in ops on NCIS Los Angeles.

    My intro to Barrett was NCIS LA and I thought he was an great actor - but didn't realise he had a stage background and was absoloutely gobsmacked at how talented he actually was. If you haven't seen the clip before you should see the clip with Barrett and Jesse Tyler Fergusson singing All for the Best from Godspell - AMAZING!

    This is brilliant and impressive on so many levels! It's actually pretty damned difficult to sing off-key when you have perfect pitch and he wove it into the routine effortlessly.

      I'm pretty sure anyone who does community theater is NOT offended.

    • @chatterbox11
      @chatterbox11 7 років тому +10

      Because bullying means someone in power mocking someone in a significantly lower position generally based on something they cannot control (e.g. disability, sexual orientation, skin color, etc.), and it also requires the person being bullied KNOWING that they are being bullied. Criticizing a person's acting skills is not bullying, and he is not criticizing them as individuals. Also, he did not mention anyone by name, and it is highly unlikely anyone in this random community theater production would ever even know he made a silly little skit about their show. There are 330 million people in the U.S., 7 billion people in the world, but just 15 thousand people have watched this video, and the audience is also very narrow. And, even if by chance someone in the production saw this video, they would likely find it humorous and understand it was done in good fun. I am sure at one time he was in a school or community theater production and he engaged in some of the the behavior he is joking about--so in a way, he is sort of poking fun at his younger self, too.

    • @crashvds777
      @crashvds777 2 роки тому

      No one was named or called out.
      I’m pretty sure anyone who has done community theater can strongly identify with this.
      Please looks up the definition of bullying and then come back and appreciate this masterpiece

  • @jerelely9417

    Yea I don’t like this. Every talented person on broadway started in community theaters and I myself still love my community theatre days. These are nurses and janitors of the city who just want to live a moment on stage. They are not perfect and don’t claim to be. I have witnessed firsthand that perfect singing is not needed to move an audience. This was mean-spirited and ugly and shows his character. A professional broadway singer making fun of community theatre singers? WTF?!?
