I'm 66 yrs old and yes, I saw him perform at his best. In fact he was one of the best running backs ever... no question about it. I can attest to that... having seen him become the first player ever to break the 2000 yard mark in a single season against my Jets. But unlike you (and all others who put people on pedestals no matter what their shortcomings), I believe people should always be be held responsible for their actions. No man is a king, fella. And that's the tragedy with Simpson... NUFF SAID.
My favorite player of all time Roman Gabriel he got me interested in the sport and also collecting cards and magazines. I’ll always think I am as the star that I saw it is early to mid-30s. I still remember the Monday night game. We passed a touchdown to Wendell Tucker running down the side lines. RIP.
