It's true. A lot of times the blower wheel will not remove easily from the motor shaft and you have to take a hammer to it to carefully break it out. That's why I always make sure I have a replacement blower wheel on hand in case its needed when I need to change a motor.

LOL. Its used with the temperature switch. Basically the unit uses a bimetal thermostat to sense the temperature in the dryer which turns the main heating element on and off around 155F. This is high heat. The way the temperature switch controls the temperature is by fooling the thermostat to shut off the heat before it reaches 155F creating the lower heat settings. There is a small electric heater located in the thermostat itself that is controlled by the temp switch . When you select medium or low on the switch it switches the resistors into the thermostat heater circuit which reduces current to the thermostat heater providing 2 different heat levels to the thermostat heater. This added heat influences the thermostat to shut off the main heating element at lower temperatures.
