With some of the alternative castings Burton wanted like Willem Dafoe as Batman and Brad Dourif as the Joker, and hell even Marlon Brando as the Penguin, it could've been so fascinating of what the movie might've looked like if he had the freedom to do whatever he wanted on the first movie.

You touched on Danny Elfman in the video, but it cannot be understated just how much atmospheric depth he added in shaping the sound of this movie. It is still a film score I listen to today.
89 Batman will always be my favorite and Michael Keaton was definitely a wonderful casting choice for this movie. Everyone raves about Bale/Nolan, and they did a fantastic job rebooting, but as a child of the 80's, Keaton/Burton definitely set the tone and did a very good job making the comics come alive.
    Thanks for the video!

Danny Elfmans Batman music is unbeatable to this day. I should’ve mentioned it more in the video, it’s just hard to demonstrate my point without using the music and getting a copyright strike. Elfmans music is THE score I think of when I think of Batman. Thanks for watching!

The Batman movie captivated my imagination. It was the film to see, but I didn't get to see the first one in theaters. I ended up watching it on VHS, but it was still so great! It wasn't until the sequel that I got to experience the scope of Tim Burton and Batman on screen. It never crossed my mind that people had doubts about Michael Keaton.

I first watched it on VHS as well! It was my favorite movie and the first tape I ever owned. I want to catch it in movie theaters sometime. It pops up in re-releases a lot at certain movie theaters. It’s awesome that you got to see Returns on the big screen. I wanted to see it so bad when I was a kid but my parents wouldn’t let me, so I saw it waaay later in life.

lol I want that Batman ski cap 😅
Burton’s Batman is will always Be my favorite. I’m glad I experienced Batman Returns in theaters, the vibe was amazing and no one complained.
Really wanted Burton to make a 3rd, there’s a video somewhere that has some of his ideas for the 3rd one.
Dafoe would have been an interesting Batman but I could have sworn he was on the list for the Joker, his smile gives it away.
    Cheers bro.
Don’t forget Batman Returns is a Christmas 🎄 movie 😬

I wanted to see this movie so bad when I was a kid. Had to wait till I was older due to my parents wishes at the time. Amazing vibe this movie has. Actually working on a video about it
