I have talked to the developer FER about some of this. He said that he experimentes with different trajectories and kind of moves but ultimately didn't used it because it didn't fit or properly worked with the Game. There's also no need for Mt slaves in this game because once the pokemon has learned the move once they get a "trait" that will never go away and that will allow them to use the Mt for exploration even if they no longer know it

If I ever become rich, I will make a realistic Pokémon anime-style game where the camera would probably look like Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm. You could play anime-style Pokémon battles with the full experience of a region, 8+ gyms, a deep emotional and realistic story, and a meaningful anime-style league with a conference where Mr. Goodshow is the chairman. The leagues would be like football World Cups, starting with group stages for 3v3 battles and continuing to knockout stages with full 6v6 battles. Fatigue and rotating your squad would be very important. The world would be filled with events and things to do. There would be new mechanics: no level or move limitations, but exponentially increased difficulty for leveling as well as the threshold for the next move slot available. Moves would have proficiency the more you train a move, the better the user becomes. You could choose to train one kick 1,000 times or train 10 different kicks 10 times each, with complete freedom to decide. Stats would grow based on the amount of time and the selection of skills you train your Pokémon in. You could have specialized, unique Pokémon like Ash's super-speed Snorlax or Lance's bulky, tank-like Dragonite. I can make a Domina style pokemon auto battler to test the project and codings in low budget ofc
Gonna be that guy that comes into every real time battles Pokémon fan game and says: “Xenoblade Chronicles 2 battle system is perfect for a Pokémon game and ya’ll wasting your time on this.”

I know my comment's late and people generally don't give much attention to newer comments when a video is a day old or more (but there are those cases of relic videos hitting algorithm again, but ANYWAY) So I doubt this will be seen by many, but STILL. I want to share my thoughts in full. And this is longer, so buckle in. I have somethin to say about what the boy MO said later into the first ⅓ of the video, at 7:16. That "most middle-stage starters are kinda weird" I have to *STRONGLY* disagree. While I know it's subjective (and not to hate on MO, or to say he is a bad person or wrong for it, it's just sociology and psychology, going with the flow, etc, which I do too, I'm not trying to get on a high horse or some pedestal. I'm the LAST person to do that. Just wanted to pretense and get this out the way), when people say things like this, it's like in a way that it's the consensus or what the general population/fanbase thinks. Maybe they do, idk. I'm not active at all. Literally I'm just a Ttar stan and watch MO due to the connection and he also makes great content while staying out the drama or being a sneaky snake; he's genuine. At least that's my judgment. I just question if this is how people on average feel? Or it's just vocal minority who say this and due to the mob mentality/sheep type of environments, ykwim? And so those few people who say things without actually LOOKING at every single starter cause everyone to run with it and it's just treated as a loose fact now, but disagree and you're ❌🙅🏽♀ Like out the group, no one listens to you because you're against the collective, etc. Or hey maybe that's how some people actually feel, so they say it, and people who _don't_ have every single starter's full line fresh in their mind, pass that statement and belief on whenever the topic arises. And conversations can move pretty quickly, especially online in live group chat areas, so not everyone is going to always look at the references or share them. So maybe that's why it got this far. Again, it's subjective, this is my opinion, but just look at them and see for yourself. Everyone can use a refresher every now and then. The image I found was on reddit after I googled "all starters evolutions" and went to images. And at least for me, it was the second search result. Reddit post was titled *"Who is your favourite starter from each Gen?"* To share a reference. It's a different artstyle than the official, I think. But they are all in the same style and correctly drawn. I think a different artstyle can offer a different perspective on certain Pokemon potentially as well, whether good or bad. It has everything including Legends Arceus, only missing Scarlet and Violet's. Those ones _should_ be fresh enuf on your mind anyway tho. I honestly don't have any problems with the baby forms and when it comes to the final evolutions there are just a couple I'm not a fan of from later generations. (Continued in replies due to length not fitting in a YT comment. Please read on in the replies, thank you. You can even skip the rest of this main comment after the part where I disagree with MO's statement as the replies will contain the real meat and potatoes. Thanks.)
Without wastin any more time, here's my opinion lookin at em all. I think all of the Kanto ones are great. Charmeleon is the most standout to me, not bad, but not perfect and seems lie it is missing something. Johtos are all top-tier I think. I love all of them, but it's hard to choose between Quilava and Crocanaw. They are drawn very well and looked great in both the original with its classic retro aesthetic, and the updated graphics in the remakes. They even look good in Emerald and such. The Hoenn starters are all really lovable, mixing some of the cuteness from their first forms and coolness, in varying levels. Combusken definitely gets a glow-up as Blaziken. *_And if you ignore the back sprite of Grovyle in its debut games, it looks really really good_* and some even prefer it over Sceptile. It was definitely made 1000x cooler in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2, being some rogue hero. It's up there not just for Pokemon/starters, but for video game characters. One of _THE_ most memorable imo. So you can't base it off just one area or game/gen either because that isn't fair to any of them. Same applies to Marshtomp (and Swampert) whose sprite in those games was prob my least fav of the three final stages, not that it stopped me from picking Mudkip or using it for entire playthroughs multiple times. Both of Mudkip's evolutions definitely get better sprite treatment in later generations. That's 8 for 9 so far. That "most" not really addin up for me lol. Moving on to the next 3 gens now.. Sinnoh's middle-stages feel very polished and given ample thought and time through the design process. They are perfect as evolutions to the starters and pre-evolutions for the final stages. Maybe some people don't love Grotle? But I always liked it. It looks no more awkward than Torterra, a literal tortoise with the characterists of a water-loving reptile who lives inside of a shell, and now has a giant TREE and ecosystem on it's back now. So I don't see an argument there personally. For Unova, next to the Johto mid-stages plus Grovyle, these are some of my FAVORITES for middle stage starters. Dewott is awesome, just a much much cooler Oshawatt, with Scallchops on both legs to use for it's signature Razor Shell move. And the colors are perfect. Nothing bad about its design, AT ALL. Servine maintains that cool, aloof aura Snivy has, but gets this new somewhat regal look to it, which it later leans into fully. It's just a better Snivy. Pignite is a literal pig, and it's a better looking 1st evolution of a pig pokemon than Lechonk got. I wasn't a huge fan of it back in the day, and picked it maybe once max, but only because I could get the others thru trading with myself or my brother. Emboar being a *THIRD* Fire/Fighting type starter didn't do it any favors in terms of appeal, and I still don't love the design, but it's aight, and it's unique. Has a feel of some Chinese inspiration to it. Pignite is just a bigger growth from Tepig than some evolutions, relatively, which is now standing up. Maybe that's what makes it feel weird. A contrast as this more thick Pokemon compared to Dewott and Servine who are slimmer. But you gotta learn to see with an unclouded mind regardless. I'm putting Pignite as NOT a weird-looking middle-stage when comparing it to it's full evolution line. They couldn't have made a better transition between the start and finish. So zero from Unova. 14 for 15. I don't really have much to say for the Kalos starters I think. But maybe I do... I thought back then that they ALL looked good, and I still do. I mean look at the popularity of Braixen vs Delphox. Compare its amount of fanart vs Delphox with the other starters. Charizard 1000% beats Charmeleon. Blaziken beats Combusken. Grovyle is likely ahead of Sceptile. All the Sinnoh final evolutions probably beat the middle-stages. Honestly not sure about Unova. Quiladin is just a little weird, but that's kinda the point. It's a CHESTNUT Pokemon. It's exterior is growing as it matures, to turn into a super-hard protective shell for it's final stage as a Grass/Fighting type, literally having Bulletproof as it's hidden ability. But yeah it looks weird in most of the games, due to the 3d aspect. It'd look good in older games. And in the art I'm referencing, it looks fine. Kinda cute actually. I remember it being aight in the anime too. Definitely in my first playthrough of X, I thought Chespin looked the best so I chose it and yes I tried to get it to Chesnaught as quickly as I could because I wasn't a fan of the design initially. The 3d not being perfect in X and Y plays a huge part in that. It gets a really great glow-up comparative to Charmeleon into Charizard, Combusken and Marshtomp, Grotle and Prinplup, Dewott, and Pignite especially. For what it is, I don't think they could have done a better job, while conveying HOW it evolves from a small little Chespin into this giant, shelled Chesnaught. Just sayin. I don't wanna say it's a super weird one, but it's not like weird is winning anyways 😂 So I'll give you that ONE. Just PLEASE look at the art and think deep down if it's really THAT bad, outside of the XY gen6 model. So fine. 16 for 18. Sun and Moon... Aight, well Rowlet's first evolution is good. A good transition. It looks scholarly, it was a fan-favorite from the start, and so is Torracat. Brionne is a great one, and transition, leaning into a more feminine look before it becomes the beautiful, elegant Primarina. I don't see any issue with any of them. If anything, I just don't like Incineroar. I had high expectations when I picked Litten and it got a really nice first evolution, but then ofc it had to go and be bipedal, meh. Like imagine if they did that with Ivysaur, Bayleef, Grotle. I hate it. Torracat is better, and the evolution I envisioned for it is much better than what we got, plus I've seen fanart that puts Incineroar to shame. I literally only used it in Smash, never in the games lol. Galar's are good, and I actually like Grookey's first evolution more than Rillaboom as far as design goes. Not that it's bad, I just for some reason didn't like it. I didn't like Sobble's final evo so much at first either, but when it was added to Unite and I saw it more, it changed my mind on it and I actually like it, and the unique class it's in as a Pokemon is really cool too! Finally, Paldea's starters. I do not like the duck. I can't say when it comes to it's middle-stage. I don't remember being into it. And when I saw it in battle, I wasn't impressed to want it in my party. The fire starter looks good, and it's middle-stage is also great. Final evo is unique, even if you don't like it. And Nyaoha's middle-stage is fine, but ofc it and the final stage are the ones I like most, and definitely two of my favorite designs from Scarlet and Violet as a whole. Nuff said. That's 27 starters and only 2 that are less than stellar to me. So after looking over everything again and writing this all out, I really don't see it, nor do I understand how people are running with this. Did we even play the same games? Do yall know what Pokemon is? That's what I wanna ask all the people saying this lmao. Because it's total bs. And I don't like the duck starter, not that this puts it's middle-stage as weird or bad by default, but even if it's 24 for 27, only 3 weird ones, nah. This statement does NOT get a pass from me. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. From now on, if anyone utters this statement, I'm gonna lose respect for them in the conversation because I'll know they just talk to talk and don't back it up or do their research. I only give MO a pass because he's a content creator AND married, so I know he's busy. And so he'll likely never read this anyway. So yeah. I will cut him some slack. But for the people who spend most of their time on the internet, with google literally right tf there, there is not a single excuse in the book for yall. Period.
Finally. I'm done, lmao. Now I can unpause and get back to the video ahaha (gotta work in the quiet/without distractions duh but not without my music ofc. lol)
I rarely put much thought into my commentary, just looking at most middle stage starters they give off that awkward teenager energy lol. Thanks for taking the time to write such a thorough breakdown though ✌️
Yo, are you planning an old style playthrough? Maybe one of the newer fan games? Would be super nice to watch one of these fan games in a complete playthrough
Honestly it’s cheaper and easier to just hack a DS and run emulators. I own a copy of pokemon black and had to hunt for 2 months and drop $70 dollars to get it. I also hacked my DS and can now play Blaze Black 2 Redux which is a really fun rom hack of B/W 2
17:36 that pigeotto used to have toxic and spam fly so you can't even touch it and time will kill you and since this is a cutscene fight meaning no possibility to do the WITHOUT OBJECTS fight and no save in advance I quit this game and stopped playing it was fun until they decided to be obnoxious about the game play
I think this is a fun, unique way to play Pokemon you don't see often at all, and reminds me of Pokemon Rumble for the Wii. That being said, I don't think it being a straight action RPG game works for Pokemon... Instead, like the first Digimon PS1 game, the game should control your Pokemon's movements but you issue commands to give attacks and for general strategy.

what i dislike about this game is wild pokemon level follow our level which if we increase to fast in early game, the wild pokemon also have high level.
No it doesn't, just the leaders pokemon match your highest lvl pokemon in ur team, you can just increase the lvl of the rest of the team, or just take out your over leveled pokemon

I've been uploading some old style playthroughs on my 2nd Channel ➜ NotMunchingOrange
I would love to see a pokemon game in the style of megaman battle network.
That would be cool. I played a fan game somewhat like that called Pokemon Crown
@MunchingOrange Okay thanks I'll look into that vid. If I don't see a game like that that scratches that itch then some day maybe I'll make it lol.
Yes!
0:07 which one is that one?
Where can i play and buy pokemon black and white 2?
Honestly it’s cheaper and easier to just hack a DS and run emulators. I own a copy of pokemon black and had to hunt for 2 months and drop $70 dollars to get it. I also hacked my DS and can now play Blaze Black 2 Redux which is a really fun rom hack of B/W 2
17:36 that pigeotto used to have toxic and spam fly so you can't even touch it and time will kill you and since this is a cutscene fight meaning no possibility to do the WITHOUT OBJECTS fight and no save in advance
I quit this game and stopped playing it was fun until they decided to be obnoxious about the game play
I wonder if this can be played on the Steam Deck?
There's an app called Joiplay for Android. Maybe it works on Steam Deck too?
Yes, I actually play it on my Steam Deck
