As a quite genuine Southerner from an old established Southern Family, one of the very few remaining who was raised traditionally as a Southerner, Luzianne is more or less the only tea we drink. There are other brands that will do in a pinch, but Luzianne is the primary, and it's Southern. Early in the days of Covid, grocery stores down here were completely void of Luzianne, but there wa still plenty of Lipton to be had. We don't typically fool with Lipton. The folks who do are typically the folks who shun their heritage and strive to embrace the general culture of the masses outside of the South. As simple as it is, many families do have their own unique way of making Luzianne sweet iced tea, the primary differing factors there being steep time, number of tea bags per pitcher of tea, sugar amount, and for some it's even on how much the tea is stirred, or whether sugar is added before, or after the cooler water is added. Of course, there are also things done to give a variety of flavor. Tea and lemonade, tea and orange juice, fresh mint in tea, blackberry tea, peach tea, and so on. One of my personal favorites is my grandma's variety, sweet tea with mint and rosemary. It's quite good. And always with lemon. Keep in mind, when we make it, it's usually at least a pitcher full at a time, never a glass at a time. The pitcher sizes vary of course but it's typically a gallon at a time.
Thank you for sharing! Up here in Canada, we drink "iced tea", but you will never hear someone use the phrase "sweet tea". I tried sweet tea for the first time at a MacDonalds in the States years ago, and it was horrible. I am glad that I was able to have much better sweet tea later on!
I live In The south in the USA. Luzianne is the only tea I use. It makes the best sweet iced tea. I have tried others like Lipton and Tetley but they just don't taste as good as Luzianne. If for some reason I can't find it at my local Walmart I can always find it on Amazon.
I grew up on Luzianne sweet iced tea so I’m quite biased. If I could have one drink for the rest of my life, it would be that or Ale81. They’re both great for sipping in a recliner, drinking with any meal or for guzzling when tired and hot from the summer heat. I appreciate the open minded review, especially from someone who wasn’t born and raised south of the Ohio river in the US.
Thanks for watching. Where I live, when you say "iced tea", people autimatically think of a powder based drink. It's not as common to make iced tea with tea bags. I still can't find Luzianne in Canada, but will stock up the next time I visit the States. :)
What a wonderful review you did! I love the Luzianne iced tea I also like mine as Sweet Tea so delicious and refreshing! This is the only brand of tea I buy now and I’m so glad it’s so widely available. I’ve heard of the powdered tea by Nestea being one of the popular brands of tea drank in Canada I was very curious how a Canadian would react to drinking brewed iced tea
Thanks for the comment! Just so you know, I am no longer posting tea reviews on this channel. But, I have another separate channel just for tea reviews: ua-cam.com/channels/bQrh8iQuMK4ncfOROZv5_w.html
I’d could told you that before you even made it. I use their green tea down here in Virginia. I find a 3/4 cup of sugar to a gallon. As for lemon cut a lemon 1/4 and add as needed

Loved that trip to New Orleans with you!
Yep. We have to go back someday, sans a hurricane!

Yes, I have some of the Nestea powder in my kitchen. :) I love it. It is very popular up here, especially in the summer.
I just picked up a box of 100 tea bags of this tea. Its my favorite for ice tea.

I think you need to use two teabags instead of one otherwise it’ll be very weak tea!
Yeah. I do like my tea quite strong!
After I tried this Lipton was thrown in the trash an tastes like cardboard. I have been deprived for decades. 🤔
:)
