- Hey guys and wow it has been a while! Sorry I'm so awful at putting out frequent videos! We get asked how we trained our guys to fly to us quite a lot and so I thought I would do a wee video explaining that. Hopefully some of you learned something and feel more confident to allow your feathered friends to have flight around the house!
Recall isn't a 'one method fits all'. As you can see the way we trained the cockatiels and Corliss was a bit different! If you are struggling we are more than happy to help over on the birds instagram! Just shoot us a message.

Great video as always! Teaching recall makes me feel like a Disney princess summoning all of the local animals for some sort of grand ballad and I LOVE it 😂💙🦜
One of the cool things about recall is that it can help teach rescues/adoptees their name.
Nice easy steps for people to teach recall!
Done! I believe I requested this video but with some patience... I managed to recall train my maroon-bellied conure Toto!
Done. I love your Chanel I am getting a cockatiel soon and you helped me know what to feed her and everything I need to know 😁
Great video
Wow, a compliment from the master himself 🤔😂

Good
Hoping to get my bird in February. Had them in the past and miss scritches and snuggles.
Love your training tips!
Really helpful thank you! Hopefully, this will work for my budgie when I get him :)
My cockatiel took to this training very easily but due to my lack of training (& knowledge) it didn’t stick. Videos like these are so essential for bird owners and it’s always so reassuring to see it done with the species your working with :)
Done!! Well done you guys. I’m so proud of you both. You’re amazing and I hope you’re both safe and well along with all of you animal babies x
So many birdy kisses!
He would have pestered me if I didn’t! Rodha lives for the kisses 😂
Done! I need that Paco feather!! 😍😂
yayyy!! a new video, i've been waiting for this! thanks!!

Done.
I love watching your videos!!You are awesome and deserve every single subscriber!!!
Awww thank you so much! This actually made my day 😭❤️
My Parrotlet, Sammy, taught himself to recall... he decided he’d fly to me when I call his name. Sometimes he gets treats (cashews) sometimes not but he’s willing to gamble on it.
He’s not 100% on this skill so I’m going to try your method and see if we can up his game. Hope to win the stickers, they’re too cute and a Paco feather would be great in the wire wrap necklace I’m making from Sammy’s lost feathers.
Fingers crossed it works for you!! Ohh that necklace sounds cool
Done! Love you guys
Awesome and informative
Very easy and useful for new pet owners. Great work! Keep it up. 😃

Love you guys! You’re videos are so amazing!! ❤️
Maybe I need to build any adjustable T stand. But my Goffin cockatoo loves the floor so I'm not sure her being lower will help. I'm struggling so much with recall. Cheeky's a 10 year old rescue and likely has lots of muscle atrophy. Unfortunately, she only flies to attack my dog or sister. Otherwise she has a mental block and often forgets about her wings. I know she can fly, I've seen her flying distances within my house when she chooses to. Just never motivated to fly to me. 😭
Thank you, this was really helpful! I'm currently trying to train my 7-month-old cockatiel.
Broooo done

Question and would love if you could do a video about this! I noticed a few of your birds are free flight trained and some harness trained. How did you get your tiels to be harness trained? I'm currently harness training my tiel. She's fully hand-tamed and recall trained.
-She's already used to the harness being around, she plays with it
-She can put her head through for 5 secs and then retreats her head to take it out
-currently training her to allow me to touch her wings and lift it up (only slightly)
Issue is, she HATES it when the harness is over her head for too long and starts screaming. Do i need to progress slower? or am i on the right path? I know she'll hate the harness being on her for the first time, should I just put it on her and bring her out to build positive association with wearing a harness? is there a gentler process? Will it take months? Helpppp
Ohh yaay, finally a video 🥳,iv got everything for a birb now what's left is to get a birb.I saw a giveaway that officially.nash had uploaded on instagram, how can I enter, the directions were to check ur bio but I'm confused I didn't see anything 🥺
Instructions or in the video and in the video description 😊

My cousin has a cockatiel and is thinking about getting another one, but is unsure about the possibility of getting a couple accidentally, because she doesn't want them to breed, can she disencourage breeding by changing them environment? I saw that not giving you birds nesting materials will keep them from getting hormonal frequently, will that help?
You can help discourage breeding by changing environment, but cockatiels also enjoy having sex for fun. However, if her two do end up pairing up you can get fake eggs and swap them out. We try to discourage breeding behaviour by offering chamomile, decreasing protein in food and increasing sleep :)
