Up till a year ago I was still playing Forged Alliance off the disk like Homeworld I doubt any RTS has come close......I built an old PC (windows XP) just to play this because it ran worse on windows 10....soundtrack lives rent free in my head....still think it's crazy this got an Xbox launch too.
Try the community project Forged Alliance Forever, it runs so smooth on modern machines and fixes HUD scaling and a lot of other issues. It still has hundreds of players online till today
It's a shame that people only hear the FA remixes nowadays, I much prefer the vanilla soundtrack. And no the mod doesn't do it the same way, the way the music plays is totally different.

IMO the original game had a better ost but Forced Alliance ost still bangs in its own way
Now both of them are better than SupCom 2's ost
