i know a lot of atheists who would (& do) dismiss him immediately as someone who writes too many songs about christian beliefs for their tastes. it’s not that they’re being discriminatory, obviously, they just... don’t like listening to such music?
@@memereview9803 that's odd. I've never thought any of his songs related to Christianity other than Take Me To Church, which is really just a song about gay oppression, lol. He's also an atheist.

can we talk about how great this interviewer is. He asks different smart questions and lets him speak. people like Hozier need to be interviewed by interviewers like this; easy going and patient.
That thing he said about the song Almost being almost sweet music is so smart considering the ‘narrator’ in the song seems to be in between his love for his ex love and his love for his next love. It’s almost sweet.

first : What a pure artist. I have a great friend that physically looks almost like a twin to Hozier it is so wild for me to watch him sing and talk and see my friend with an Irish accent talk about his songs...then I realize my friend is a computer programmer....LOL. My friend is 6'5" and thin as a whip just like Hozier and he used to always tell me how he felt unattractive and now I love letting him know how the world is in love with someone that looks just like him...LOL
Tell him short ginger guys have been getting laid pretending to be Ed Sheeran. I'm not saying to do exactly that but tell him to lean into it. Maybe grow out his hair and wear a jean jacket... see what happens.

I think it's really interesting that he writes such poetry but you get him to talk instead of sing and he stutters and stumbles over his thoughts. I think its because he seems very thoughtful and private? So like he wants to say what he means and he wants to say something meaningful but doing it in front of people is so nerve wrecking?
