He mentioned being nervous about getting this one right live in a few interviews so I'm glad this was... as ever... an example of great musicianship and skill. I-con-ic.
My God he is the best live performer I have ever seen, and am old. Seen a lot! He also has the best voice I've ever heard, to my ear. He is also a unbelievable poetic and deep thinking song writers. The fact he makes his live sound better than the studio version is something very rare. He is just amazing. I wish I heard him more on radio or video. Not positive where his music goes? Not pop, not rock, kinda organic jazzy bluesy hauntingly sexy. He is OUTSTANDING SO IS HIS BAND!!!
autotune isnt bad. its pitch correction. it just makes it pleasing to listen to. without it. you wouldnt want to listen to it. very few performers are on pitch constantly. hozier is brilliant but hes trained. dont judge performers for autotune usage. if you want to watch performers who are trained then fine but dont judge people who are not trained and skilled singers that just wanna make art. oliver tree is a brilliant artist and performer and he uses tuning and has backing tracks live. it still doesnt take away from his performance. im so tired of people shaming pitch correction. im a music production student.

Lyrics (as listed in the album booklet) Honey, this club here is stuck up Dinner and Diatribes I knew well from our first hookup The look of mischief in your eye Your friends are a fate that befell me Hell is the talking type I’d suffer hell if you’d tell me what you’d do to me tonight Tell me, tell me, tell me That’s the kinda love I’ve been dreaming of That’s the kinda love I’ve been dreaming of Honey I laugh when it sinks in The pillar I am, upright Scarcely can speak for my thinking what You’d do to me tonight Now that the evening is slowing Now that the end’s in sight Honey, it’s easier knowing what You’d do to me tonight Tell me, tell me, tell your man That’s the kinda love I’ve been dreaming of That’s the kinda love I’ve been dreaming of Let there be hotel complaints and grievances raised And that kind of love Let there be damaged ensued and tabloid news And that kinda love That’s the kinda love I’ve been dreaming of
This as a whole is just a masterpiece of performance, but I’m just completely in love with 1:57. The contrast of Hozier & Alex’s voices is just too much; too beautiful, too powerful. I just keep getting goosebumps help.
Thank you whoever got this video!! It’s incredible. He is unbelievable. It’s like he has to hold back how hard he could go on this song. I love every word of it. “Let there be hotel complaints!” That’s the kind of love we’ve all been dreaming of!
I dont know why but I am literally too much attracted his smile his voice and his personality despite of him being 13 yrs older , a foot and 3 inches taller than me and me having no chance of meeting him😂
1:06 That voice crack was incredibly jarring because it reminded me that he's a human man and not an eternally powerful benevolent forest spirit
oh well :((
Hey, singing all day does that to your voice. Hell, singing for 15 minutes can do that depending on how conditioned you are
kinda cute idk
@Faith Segura it's not that. His voice slips a bit at some point
he made it because he needs to hide his real nature ( being a god)
This song is a masterpiece. Watching it live would probably be like a religious experience.
Saw him in Atlanta on 3/23. It was exactly as you describe.
It absolutely is. Can confirm.
Hannah Christina TRUE
Can confirm 😊
Kinda wanna see him sing this while dressed as the creepy man he played in the music video
*really wanna
Exactly what I was thinking!
My thoughts exactly! 😍
it'd be just... awooga
Hozier makes me weak.. but also, hello lady with the hat on
I KNOW that took me by surprise so hard
That’s suzzane
@@Nonyabuisness67788 Just found her on Instagram. Thank you so much!
@@uselessweirdo of course ☺️
I was like ok , she is too damn special🤣
This is a really tricky song. High singing and he’s playing the guitar riff too. Impressive stuff.
i saw him live in boston, and as soon as dinner and diatribes started i ascended
What kind of ritual is this i want to participate
Me too..
Same here🙋🏾♀️

2:47 the best part
true
No 0:00-3:41 is the best part
He looked like an angel when the white lights turned on

he should have paired up with freddy if he was still alive
Oh my god, his voice is even better than it was! I love the beat of this song.
the beginning beats sound like someone smashing a skull of a person already killed my blunt force trauma with a bat and i appreciate that
i can't believe this is better than the audio
That intro stomp beat is seductive. Intoxicating. Mission accomplished, Andrew H. B.
i've fallen down another hole of watching hozier live videos. and GOD, when the music cuts and he hits that note? goosebumps. im feral truly
He's all that and a bubble bath ❤
Cissy Talley well put!!!
Without autotune, because his voice is art.🌷

Now that the end’s in sight
Honey, it’s easier knowing what
You’d do to me tonight
Tell me, tell me, tell your man
That’s the kinda love I’ve been dreaming of

He sounds exactly like the studio version. Hozier has one of the finest vocals.
God damn his voice sounds like in the official video
Rachel's vocal is so empowering
Who is Rachel?
@@michaelwilson5762 The girl on the farthest right. Her hair is short.
