    I work at a summer camp for children. He was using the leatherman signal as a hammer for the tent stakes and the lock on the signal was loosened causing it to open. I sent for Roxon's Rinho hammer and am using it to stake the tents every day. I have found it very useful so far. I recommend it for camping huts too.

    Would be a nice to bring for camping. To hammer in tent pegs , and remove them with pliers or nail claw remover.

    They make great innovative tools at a fair price. Good review, thank you.

    It's a nice tool, but I think the flint stone /rod suggests this is more geared towards camping or outdoor activities. Most folks have instant fire at home these days😊

      I still have a wood stove, but honestly the ferro rod is taking up otherwise dead space and you're not losing anything by having it, but it does add value to some people. Even if I didn't have the stove, I like knowing I have a source of fire if it comes to needing it..before I had lighters ect for the stove I didn't smoke or burn open flames so realized a few times that if the power went out we'd have had few to no truly reliable flame sources. I live in the far north, fire is something I prioritize.

    Seems good for walking fence. Setting/pulling staples or nailing insulators and reflectors.

    Never even considered a hammer tool until now. It actually looks useful. I could never imagine actually sinking a nail with the Leatherman hammer butts on the tools

    Hammer based multi tools are interesting but I would never buy one that has the hammer/pliers or the hammer/adjustable wrench design. Any hammer that small is already compromised and will only be good for a limited number of tasks. To then further compromise it with by splitting the head into two parts to make janky pliers or a weird wrench is just a bad idea imho. But I like that Roxon is thinking outside the box.

    I think the moves of LM and roxon are correct. LM can't simply compete in the low budget multituools so latest offerings (lm garage, lm arc) are premium multitools. Roxon is innovating and providing acceptable quality at great price however their place in the market is yet to be seen.

    Have started a job on a farm, something like this might be nice to have have around for various tasks. Would beat having a full size plier, hammer and so on if I can get away with having this. Might get one in the future!

    • @RussWoodard
      @RussWoodard 5 місяців тому +2

      The hammer head looks like it could lend itself well to working with stock fencing. For instance tensioning and cutting fencing wire and tapping in u tacs. Small enough to belt carry without really noticing I would have thought so always handy for unexpected repairs etc. Plus with the other tools it would probably work quite well as a makeshift farm tool for various odd jobs that tend to pop up on a day to day basis

    looks like you could maybe use a ¼ inch bit extender in the 12-point spanner slot in the head? or just put regular bits in there, but I feel that would be a sub-optimal experience

    Cowabunga.! That's what dad had when he was a roadie for some band decades ago but without the ferro rod. Mum got it now for her scrapbooking craftwork. It's not spring loaded but the cutter stills cut clean. Looks like they don't make it like they use to..! We recently attained a multitool for firearms, do you have reviews on them.? Cheers from Australia.

    After cutting through the wire, it looked like there was a sizable dent in the wire cutters. Can you confirm whether thats the case?

    am i the only one that finds hammer multitools seem gimmicky like no shade on roxon because they are nocking it out of the park with their multitools realy reliable for a budget price. that being said i dont think much of any multitool with a hamer built in just me.
