I’m so happy you decided to post this. For over a decade I’ve wanted footage of back when they were playing waking the fallen. I am absolutely mindblown watching this. Please if you can remember, what led to this? Where you friends with the a7x guys and you were able to record them or how did this all happen??
Hey there. So i was My Chemical Romance's videographer and they opened the show up that day. I had worked for a band called Mushroomhead in the early 2000's and A7X were on their tour as an opener so I had gotten to know them from those days a bit. They asked me to help film for the Unholy Confessions video and told me to film The Rev's angle. Problem was, that I ended up on the road with MCR and never got Avenged this footage! So it was sitting in my files for years and I finally found it and felt it deserved to be on here for all to see. I appreciate all of the compliments, it was a very fun show to film and am proud of the joy its bringing to so many people almost 20 years later. 🖤🦇

Matt being anxious during the piano part getting ready to unleash the awesome vocals is incredible to see.
Matt’s pacing to make it seem he went somewhere far was so cute. You can genuinely tell these are just talented young men tryna make it. Seeing this much of Jimmy is precious as well. May God rest his soul.
This brings me back to being 14 and playing Waking the Fallen on repeat. Learning new fills and beats on the drums just idolizing Jimmy. Ah man

I love the rawness. Matt pacing backstage during IWSYT, young Jimmy tearing the kit up, no signature guitars, Val still coming on stage, no pyro/crazy stages and of course Syn rocking the Bam Margera look. This is absolutely amazing to see!

Prior to this surfacing, nobody even believed they ever played Clairvoyant Disease. It's also an incredible amount of footage of The Rev playing, which was honestly not that well documented overall.

Simply the best recording of The Rev I have ever seen. The guy was a drumming legend, sadly gone too soon. Imagine if he were still alive, how the songs would sound completely different. It's sad that there will never be anyone like Jimmy again, he was one of a kind. Rest in peace.

Whenever I think of Avenged… this is the tour I tell people about. 3/31/04 at Pop’s was a whole other level. No one could touch them on that stage that night, and they were cool as can be after the show.

Wow. This is insane. I've seen the music videos for UC and Chapter Four multiple times but never thought I'd see the day the whole recording of the show would surface. This has made my year for sure.
Back when Shads was able to hold absolutely all the vocal lines, all band with black nails and eyeliners, Syns not missplaying his solos (was very common for him in these old shows, you can take a look), The Rev carrying all the band with his massive and wonderful standart drum kit, Valary singing with her boyfriend with such good frys, all the band headbanging and the mosh 2steping all the way, crowdkilling and stage diving like a heavy hardcore band.
Thank you so much, wish I had live these moments, A7X was amazing, thanks for be the father of melodic metalcore.

This was amazing to watch. I was shaking most of the video(out of excitement) because the footage of the Rev is so good and great quality, for it’s time. Better than some videos I’ve seen from a couple years ago, even, of the band, in general. Loved watching Rev do his thing. And as others said, it’s the best footage of him.
