    Street photography, a genre of photography that records everyday life in a public place. The very publicness of the setting enables the photographer to take candid pictures of strangers, often without their knowledge. Street photographers do not necessarily have a social purpose in mind, but they prefer to isolate and capture moments which might otherwise go unnoticed.

    Cool thank you for this, I bought a older Pro s and I have a feeling my bellows will be in the same shape so I will try this! Though step 2 is fixing the light seals where the film back is attached....

    I'll be trying this with my Mamiya 6 folder which is 70 years old! Thanks! As a minor detail, Mamiya is pronounced "mah mee yah", not "mu my uh". :)

    Hello ! Thanks for the demo. Have you ever removed a complete bellows to a new one ? If so, what kind of glue did you use ? As I leave in France, please don't give me glue brands but glue types. ;)

    Hey up m8! Came across this & would highly regard your insight on the new to me Mamiya RB67 Pro S 70mm kit. New to Mamiya in general so interested to learn more about them & more particularly it’s 70mm back & 100-200 lens & accessories. I got it w/ the Universal sport finder

    Giving this a go on a Dacora 120 (a very simple medium format 6x6 folder. Looks like an Agfa Isolette, or a Mamiya 6, but does not have a rangefinder even)
    I got the camera light proof, and tested a roll on it. It works, but closing the bellows made some of the product flake off. I must try to redo it but with thinner coats.
    How is this holding up for you after 7 years? I am quite curious to know. Thanks!

      The bellows repair I did 7 years ago is fine...PS thicker coats and very long drying time between coats is key like 24 or 72 hours

      @@CarmineTavernaPhotography Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. Very cool to know that this repair seems to last and is not just a quick bodge. Thicker you say? not thinner?

    Hey how did you apply with the liquid tape without removing the bellows? Like how did you go about avoiding getting the liquid tape on the parts near the bellows? Did you paint 100% of the surface of the bellows or just in sections?

    • @CarmineTavernaPhotography
      @CarmineTavernaPhotography  5 місяців тому

      You only want to remove the bellows if you are replacing them. You paint 100% of the bellows, all 4 sides. Open bellows {stretching} using focus knob. Use small artist brushes. Apply one coat, then, dry bellows 24 hours between each of the 5 coats. Then set camera aside for 10 days, bellows stretched open to dry.

      @@CarmineTavernaPhotography I’m curious too, how’s your mamiya’s bellows holding up 7 years later with the liquid tape? Any need for re-application or any further failure? Of course that’s if you haven’t sold the camera lol
