This riff has influenced a lot of modern guitar players
Randy is hands down the best guitarist I have ever listened to and Diary is my favorite track ever
You’re my favorite guitar channel for learning licks. No silly editing and fluff. Right to the point and shows and tells you how to do it. Thanks!
Hands down Cameron is the best at teaching and playing classic rock legend riffs of Randy Rhoades and Edward Van Halen...my faves as well. You are a rock guitar prophet and we thank you for keeping this music alive and passed on to new generations of music and guitar playing fans. Great tone and execution as always. Rock on Cameron and cheers!
This song taught me that I can play pretty much anything I set my mind to. It's easy to start, but offers so much to explore.
Just finished watching his Documentary. MAn was legendary.
DOAM has one of those awesome & technical picking and rocky intros that as a kid when i was finally able to play it felt like i'd really broken into the next level of my own ability at the time. Love this song.
Something to work on when I get home, thanks.
From the hand position in the thumbnail I knew it would be this riff. One of my favourite Randy riffs, from one of my favourite Ozzy tracks.
I'm sorry, but Randy in my mind, is very under-rated. All my years of playing, Randy's riffs and technical abilities, and harmonies are by far the ones that stick out the most.
Love your tshirt......love my JET guitars
Superb
This sh!t is GOLD, thank you! I always loved that Foxy Lady riff he did...so awesome.
Thanks for sharing Randy’s genius.
makes me miss my gibson lp custom and my edwards john sykes
Finally learned that majestic track a couple of weeks ago, such good fun playing that solo over a backing track ! Great vid as always Cam !
My favorite Rhoads tune.
Great! Love Randy licks
Thanks Cam great licks and fantastic playing.
Like I told you before you make all this easy with your awesome angles.
Thanks again for all your help.
Those are cool sounding short riffs - great little exercises to warm up and have fun as well - thanks !!
Great video Cameron. Perfectly executed! 👏
Awesome riff
Thank you so much one of my favorite songs and riffs 🤟🏻
Wooooo! Badass!
Thanks bro ! appreciate for posting it 😃
Comment for algo-and to note Cam passed 150k subs!
Well played my friend! Learned this wrong years ago lol! Thanks for posting it right!
My favorite
Отличный эпизод!
Thanks alot❤❤❤
Great. 👍 Thanks 🙏 you
Damn it dude, now I got to relearn that track. One of my all time favorites
The definition of a "Tasty Riff."
During the riff portion, you can see where Zakk Wylde got the intro for "Miracle Man."
That's true it is the same position. But I think he got it from Foxy Lady by Jimi Hendrix.
@@CameronCooper I always thought it was Foxy Lady as well, and i bet you are correct.
But he was always a huge Rhoads fan, so it was interesting to see that idea in the Madman
riffing.
@@CameronCooper Now that i think about it, doesn't Randy also use that idea in part
of "Over the mountain?"
It's around the second verse, where he adds this onto the regular part.
Might be in a different position, though.
@@julianschulz1620 yes it's similar.
i just picked up a thr10x like new for $150 usd. running it through 8in monitors it sounds incredible.
Cam, awesome job highlighting the some of the greatest riffs of iconic players...
Have/will you ever covered Randy's live SS solo?
Thank you! I never did that because everyone else seems to have done it. Little need for me to do one aha
So weird not seeing you with a charvel
Hey Cameron. Love the Randy lessons! You literally nail them all! There is a Randy riff I have never seen anyone cover or explain what it is. It is 3:55 into Suicide Solution on the Tribute album. Before the solo. During the band jam. He’s the only one I have ever heard do that run. One of my favorites he does. I wish you could listen and explain! Thanks!
Just listened to it. I know what to do. Since I've just uploaded this RR vid. It will have to wait for a little bit
No problem. Whenever you get the time. I appreciate it!
Wicked
Killer!
Killer
Great video my man.... question: what pick you using here? Maybe I'm imagining things, but it seems some of the tone you are getting on this vid corelates to that pick. Thanks
The pick doesn't do anything tone wise but they're great picks! Look up Dan's Guitar Store Precision Picks. Link is in the description. They're on Amazon
I've heard that C Major 3rd on Mastodon's last album.
Imagine writing this
I know!
I love it. How bout showing "Revelation Mother Earth?"
I never learned the whole thing. I only learned the solo
@@CameronCooper It would be cool if you played it and posted it!
@@sebastionhawk5565 I did a while ago. About 5 years ago playing an Ash Charvel San Dimas
@@CameronCooper Thanks; I will definitely go find it in your videos and watch it.
I assume this is through the Yamaha th30ii like normal. Can you do a tone breakdown on a good Randy tone?
This is the Blackstar AMPED 3. I don't really have any tips for a Randy Rhoads sound, just learn the songs the best you can
Присоединяюсь к остальным! На этом канале Человек объясняет понятно, хоть я и непонимаю язык но понятно даже по пальцам!
What would you say your style is? I haven't noticed with you playing so many riffs by others.
Here's one of Cameron's ua-cam.com/video/5Ltc444nQjw/v-deo.htmlsi=IhfzF9ekTHPkfpC5
Not strictly 80s
😛
is the song actually called DOAM? couldnt find it
Diary Of A Madman
"Iconic" by definition means everyone already knows it.
I think you knew what I meant. Everyone should 'know' meaning know how to play it.
First comment!!!
Satanic
Randy is the most overrated of all time. Considered legend because he died young.
That's not why he's a rated player. It's the compositional genius which Randy possessed that set him apart.
