What is the most significant change I've seen in the biosciences during my career?

In this video, I answer the following thought-provoking question:
"What is the most significant change I've seen in the biosciences during my career?"
This one really got me thinking.
The first things that came to mind were the oemic- genomics, proteomics, etc. But I decided that was not the answer, and I settled on PCR as the most significant change, with mass spectrometry coming a close second.
However, I then realised the question may refer to changes in our understanding of biological systems rather than lab techniques. So, after some more thinking, I came up with three:
the change in our understanding of adipocytes (fat cells)
the change in our understanding of the mitochondria
the change in our understanding of the Golgi apparatus.
