You can mod the game with DLSS Enabler to get FSR frame generation, and it really boosts the performance. I don't know about other devices, but it's running on my Steam Deck at 60fps easily, though the HUD has a lot of stutter that can't be fixed right now.
Yeah, don’t know what happened with the optimizations. Because I know for fact I get solid 120 fps in remake going 2k. In Rebirths I can barely keep steady 60 fps.
difference is the engine, plus being ps5 game and Rebirth having more to load compared to Remake since remake is linear while Rebirth has the open world
Guys FYI FF7 Rebirth is still using UE4 but because it's developed for PS5 I think the optimization is a bit different from the devs, also expanded world size and stuff makes it way more demanding
remake runs faster but i absolutely cannot get a solid framerate in it, especially in the slums. it's a semi frequent stutter fest on windows pc, dx11 mode and the dxvk vulkan translation layer reduce stutters but definitely do not remove them. steam deck can run it with good framepacing at 40ish fps cap somehow, but pc version is widely known to be a terrible port otherwise. proton is some magic stuff.
You should have set all graphics options to the same across all 3 platforms first to show which plays the game the best (Rog Ally X) and then adjust settings to show which would look better. Instead you did this terrible comparison video
Square enix sucks at optimizing games for PC. Its getting so old. The fact that this performs worse than remake is insane. Im just streaming it from my desktop. Tired of the nonsense
The fact that you’re comparing an instanced based game from PS4 to an open world game from PS5 for performance is insane. Yeah, it looks like shit, but it’s stable and runs. Not saying that it should be SD verified, but you’re just comparing 2 of the wrong things.
@@victorl5402 Yeah, I'm from an era where pokemon Gold on the gameboy colour was seen as some sort of black magic, and here we are 25 years later with a fully playable PS5 game on the go...I can't complain too much frankly.

Lossless scaling is much easier and I plan to do a comparison soon.
@GamesInHand I love Lossless Scaling. I really hope that they get it working on the Deck some day.
So which one is the best?
Probably the ally x mainly because it has a huge battery
Ally x with matched settings to low and texture medium. Locked 30. But legion go is better with lossless. I’ll do a video on that soon
Hey man, didn’t you have a video up at one point on how to fine tune rivatuner on the rog? If so could you direct me to it please

Why not 30W on rog ally? nobody is running at 25W if plugged in.
For best battery performance. I’ll do 30w on the go and x next time.
You were running afmf on the legion Go with a low frame cap.... Might need to redo that one.
Huh? I disabled AFMF2 on the Go because it was causing issues
@GamesInHand sorry I meant the ROG
Edit* rog ally
oh, no it's off on there too but AC keeps bugging out saying its on, its really annoying
@@GamesInHand oh I see.... Well..... I'm not a fan of afmf 2. I really like lossless scaling though.

msi claw
Not got mine yet. Should be here early feb

They're portable PCs

@@victorl5402I disagree it should be steam deck verified although the default settings are a lie that should be changed.
Runs fine on my pc. Maybe try not running it on a gtx 1080

PS Portal is the winner
Haha, well if cloud gaming is allowed I’d say steam deck oled with GeForce now would take the crown.
Sadly rebirth isn’t on GFN
That thing sucks
