Hi Lee. Just wanted to say thanks for the video. I literally just got back to Hanoi after finishing the Ha Giang loop! Was unsure whether to do it before i watched your video, used the same hostel/tour and it was amazing!! Thank you for your videos 🙏
Just got back from doing the loop last week. We did 4 days 3 nights and rode ourselves. Booked it through Hanoi Central Backpackers Hostel. Absolutely stunning experience. Can't really put it into words. The 4th day was really nice as our group bonded a lot and made the most out of the 3rd night. Would recommend this experience to anyone. Riding itself wasn't difficult. No police check points. Easy riders did say it was just a lot of looking around for 4 days.
@jordy-fosta So I am going there in November and I really do not want to sit behind somebody the whole time while riding through this surreal place. I have been riding motorcycles for more than 15 years now so that is not a problem at all. My question is I have read/ seen that if you ride solo or by yourself then Cops are a major problem as they are bound to stop you at check points and dick around. Is that the case.
@@rishabhbose29 Hey mate. You would be fine to ride it. I had very limited (couple of months) riding eperience and managed fine. One of my friends had 0 riding experience and managed easily too. As for the police, we didn't run into any problems in our tour group. We did it through QT tours (i think that was the name). The only time we sat on the back was when we left ha giang to get past the police check point. This was for a few hours and then we started to ride ourselves. We sat at the back of the tour group for the first day. The main group would be infront and be spotters in case of police. We didn't encounter any. I have heard that they stop the main group, send someone back to collect you and then send another person back to get the bike. Then the group takes off again. After we did Ha Giang, we rented bikes in Da Nang and rode to hue, then Hoi An. We cruised along main roads and didn't encounter any police. Didn't come into any trouble there either.
Thanks mate, I really appreciate that. 👍🏻😊 Did it feel too long? Or like it was dragging in parts? Or maybe like some bits could have been left out? I didn't know how much to cut out. I had around 50 mins just of GoPro footage (me talking to camera) to begin with!🙈
Looks great, had planned to "pilot" the bike myself, bike rider all my life. But, I get the filming opportunities about easy rider. Keen (not good) about making bids. Great vid Lee. I'm also on solo world one year tour. Ha, ha.... now looking at second year. Also a Brit!'
If you've ridden all your life, you might find it a little more difficult being a passenger than I did. You do stop A LOT to take pictures, etc. Either way you will absolutely love it.👍🏻 Thanks for watching the video 🙏🏻🙏🏻😊
Lee, I'm heading to Hanoi this week .. and the motorbike tour next Monday. Was your tour about this time last year? (Just not sure if you waited a while to post the footage). But you said it was getting a bit cold, so wondering if I'll need warm clothes too. Thanks!
Hey mate. Yes it was almost exactly a year ago. It was just a bit chilly whilst riding higher up in the mountains. Just a light hoody should do it. Hope you have an amazing time. 🙏😁
great video. love the views. how much did you pay for the easy rider? by the way i'm from colombia, i didn't expect to see you with our football jersey. that was wild.
You leave it with whichever hostel you stayed at in Ha Giang the night before you start the tour. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for watching the video. 🙏🏻😊
I think most people brought a 20 or 30 litre bag with them. Just something big enough for a couple of changes of clothes and a jumper, rain jacket, etc.
Well it's not just one road, it's a route around the region. I don't know if there are variations of the route that might be less busy, but I guess they take you on the one with the best views. It honestly doesn't feel packed until you stop somewhere where another group has also stopped. Thanks for watching the video 🙏🏻🙏🏻😊
You can book in Hanoi. This is what most people do. I didn't book mine until I got to Ha Giang the night before starting the tour the next day. Thanks for watching and have a great time in Vietnam. 🙏🏻👍🏻😊😊
It’s poorest region in Vietnam is because of the people who possess a slum culture that they litter indiscriminately. Imagine the people kept everything neat and clean and sell the food with hygiene, then the tourists flock in, then their life would improve.
You should not blame everything on the people, maybe some tourists also litter with poor awareness. But you're right, most Vietnamese people litter indiscriminately. Young people now have better awareness, hopefully they will improve in the future.😂@@nocancelcultureaccepted9316
Vietnam could be more enjoyable if the people didn’t throw garbage everywhere, didn’t scam and steal. As a Vietnamese, I have to say that over 95% of the food vendors lack of food safety and hygiene. So eat at your own peril.

Haha, I bought it earlier in my trip when I was in Colombia. 😊👍🏻

There next week. What do you do with the main bulk of your luggage? Big suitcase?
You leave it with whichever hostel you stayed at in Ha Giang the night before you start the tour.

Does this mean you have to bring another bag with you thats smaller? Do you happen to remember how many litres it was?@@leechafertravels
I think most people brought a 20 or 30 litre bag with them. Just something big enough for a couple of changes of clothes and a jumper, rain jacket, etc.
Do you think you could have drove yourself the semi automatic motorcycle with the guide leading way?
Yes I could have. I think I got to enjoy the views more this way though.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻😊
Nice video! With which hostel did you do the tour?
Hong Hao hostel.
Thank you for watching the video 🙏🏻😊❤️
