Here is some MAZDA RX7 FD compilation of exhaust sound,drift and more something interesting about this beast !

People need to learn to warm them up, they are no different than two strokes (except they spark every revolution). If you dont warm them up well, the rotor and seals will meet abruptly with the wall.
They’re perfectly reliable. They have that bad rap because of what people in America use them for. Burnouts and shit.

Rotary engine was invented by German engineer Felix Wankel in 1920 and patented in 1934. In 1967 Mazda made first Japanese car with rotary engine and since then they perfected it.
sadly they gave up on it after the rx-8. if they would have perfected it then there would me more rotaries and they would be mire reliable for normal people
@@xhec I don't think the discontinuation had to do with making a perfect reliable engine. They aren't as efficient when it comes to fuel and emissions to meet certain regional standards. Us carguys couldn't care less but the manufacturers have to take these things into consideration sadly.
Gotta love the Rotary engine whine as the revs increase and never seem to stop increasing!!!

@@Mustafakhan-qg6nv I almost bought an fd back in 01. I decided against it because it was an automatic. It was also an ugly seafoam green. The downside to the fc is getting parts. 5 to 20 business days. Luckily it's only broken down twice in 3 years.

Street and peripheral porting a REW to swap into my rx8 so it won't blow up as fast when it gets boosted. Hoping for 800-1k hp

@@3a.m.284 doubting the power it'd make or that I'm going to do it? Bet only with a single garret I could push out 900. Street and peripheral ported rotary engines can push 700hp no boost.
But a new REW costs $5200 from Atkins and they know their shit over there. Going to have it shipped to the dudes at Rx7 Specialists for the porting. Might have them do their dowel pinning service so it doesn't end up skipping a bearing under high load, idk how much that one costs.
Prob end up 8-10k total for that and new mods n shipping...
Working two jobs rn to get it done n im grinding out 1500 a week rn. Hopefully have this shit by December

@@JubJub117 700 hp from a NA 2 rotor LMAO. more like a 4 rotor. goodluck with your 900 hp 2 rotor single turbo. if you get a ridiculous fuel system and 90mm turbo maybe, and rebuild every 10 hard pulls. all talk no action. any 2 rotor above 500 hp* (*that is utilized) has a short life. stock trans wont handle that anyway. you're in for a serious wakeup call if you actually pursue this, which I doubt you will (source: I have a single turbo FD)

It's so interesting how it just sounds like an ordinary every day engine! Like a V8 or something! I couldn't really tell a difference until they started giving it gas.
Sounds like a F1 car once they get screaming.
