    One small thing: if you are open to some feedback, I think it would look nicer if the sand particle effect coming from the feet was more subtle. Just tone it down a little bit so it's not as splashy. One thing I noticed that I thought might help in the overall look of your game :) looks so good though keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!

    Great man. I need this for a vehicle. This version of trail with RVT i suitable for tyre or is more computational than spawn directly some sphere from the bottom of the tyre for displacing the terrain ? 🙏

    • @dotplusplusplus
      @dotplusplusplus  2 роки тому +1

      I'm not sure I understand the "sphere approach", but yes the RVT trail it would work with tyres :) I'd probably do some more optimization to have an adaptive spawn frequency (if you are going straight you dont need to spawn on every tyre), and depending on the vehicle's speed you could spawn bigger stamps/quads to take less performance :)

      The main takeaway you can get from this video (that I tried to incorporate at least) is that it's just a bunch of small stuff put together. Just choose one thing, like the grainy normals, or the slope direction, and build from there. The best part about this process is that every small improvement you make is a reward in itself. And if you feel stuck come around on discord and people will happily help you :)
