Asmon admitted in his reaction to this that he first joined Night Media after being contacted by a "friend", who he then met up with in person (he never disclosed what kind of location they met up at curiously), then this person brought him into Night Media.
What's most interesting, is that by Asmon's own admission, he joined Night Media the VERY SAME YEAR that he blew up on Twitch (2017). He did not say if he joined before or after, but in my mind this all but confirms that Night was responsible for Asmon's sudden rise to fame and success. Sure he had a sizeable following before, but Night is most likely what made him what he is now.

I've never seen Asmon act weird like that over a video. An interesting question to consider is how in the loop would someone like Asmon be considering he's so successful? Why would any management company want to get in his way? Their whole strategy would be to serve whatever he wants to do, while positioning others to leverage off his influence. So maybe they're almost incentivized to keep whales like Asmon in the dark while they strategically, and now with the help of AI, create hundreds of other influencers or trends off of them. So it's not so much a parasitic relationship but a symbiotic one, and it's just grown beyond the scope of what we could ever possibly imagine.

I think it was unwise for asmon to dismiss this video. The implication that social media content creators are artificially currated by their talent agency that received investments from a company that recieved investments from Black Rock is a reach. But the trail is there and money will move mountains. At any moment any creator under Night Media could be exposed for pushing or forced to change to push any agenda these execs at Black Rock tell them to.
How many companies do they spread that money across. It's a lot of money but 20 million dollars to each and you'd have all the advertising and funds you'd ever need for UA-cam. With that much money per year you could have 400 well payed employees on staff.

Watching this till the end made me realise why Asmon refused constantly to let the rest of it play on his stream.
What this video exposes is 100% true and very important for alot of people to learn about.
You don't need to control what social media influencers say, all you need to do is find the right person who says what you want to be heard and then you signal boost them so they're one of the largest influencers on the platform. Once they're the largest, more people will be willing to take their side because they see that other people have taken their side. It's simple stuff, really.

My take on Asmongold.
Starting with character, I will proceed with the most important thing which is imo Shadowlands vs FF14. Wow players were/are notorious for sticking with 1 or 2 games (usually older games) and not trying out new games because "why would I waste my time in this new game that I might not like when I can waste time in WoW, a game that I do like". This type of thinking is a big problem for streamers. If players (WoW players being 95% of Asmongolds audience) are unwilling to try to games, why would a company give Asmongold money to promote the game?
I am not saying Shadowlands good or FF14 bad. What I am saying is that creating drama and trying to "destroy" a game that made you what you are for money that you don't really need (he was prolly a millionaire at that point) is a good example of character. Anyone thinking the FF14 marketing campaign and Asmongold "take" on WoW are a coincidence is prolly getting farmed for loot by streamers.
Another stance problem is the constant defending of New World which had 5k players, the game was obviously bad, yet he was insisting it has a chance. That was probably a clause in his contract saying that he cannot trash the game for X months or years.
Coming to the media agency. Anyone that has a job with a company knows that the company, most of the time, does not need to specifically tell you what to say or not. Depending on the company you work for, it's obvious some topics are not to be discussed. As an example, if you work for Apple, it's obvious you are not allowed to post on social media about how good your Samsung phone is compared to your Apple phone. If you work at Tesla, its obvious you cannot make a video about how bad electric cars are compared to ICE cars. If you work for the US gov, its obvious you cannot say that China is doing a very good job with increasing the standard of living in China. If you work for Fox News, its obvious you cannot say that Harris is better than Trump etc. You get the point.
Is the media agency steering influencers in what to say? Of course. It's written on the website "influence culture". Is there a further proof? I think so. Larry Fink said, at one point, that we will focus less on DEI. What happened next? We saw Asmongold and many, many others, having stances against DEI which previously they did not have. Those type of stances previously were as close as you can get to being banned or cancelled.
