    Bamboo and Tapioca are easily renewed fast growing resources. Bamboo forests regenerate very quickly and are perfect for biodegradable packaging and products.

      Kariina Kuningas it might be a bio-plastic made of something like cornstarch which biodegrades

      Kariina Kuningas we need to understand that plastic is as indispensable to mankind as it is harmful to environment, and that we must know how to reduce it's use or use it properly. So in this case I think they are being responsible people by reducing the use.

      How much is really bamboo and what are the other ingredients. Your "healthy" almond milk is 2% almond and made with guar gum that dries like cement and it has nano sized titanium dioxide among other toxic ingredients. The health gurus used to sell it as the best health alternative.

    • @Kiyarose3999

      PullipKisses Speak for yourself, I wouldn’t buy these ‘cup’ things cos of the single use plastic packaging, it’s not like these items are necessary to live! This is just a commercia enterprise using an unnecessary biodegradable product to fill our world with more bloody single use plastic, why couldn’t they just put them in Cardboard boxes instead!.

    Love how innovation is questioned not by how it is made but why it is covered in plastic wrap.

  • @amberleaf7

    Great! I remember seeing those in Thai supermarkets, hoping it wasn't plastic. Coconut water was packed in them. So GOOD to know it's easily biodegradable all-natural material!! Way to go! It's good to see Thailand pioneering these efforts. Nearby Indonesia has terrible pollution, so hopefully Indonesia will wakeup and stop polluting Earth so much, too. Of course same can be said for Malaysia and many other countries, but especially Asia and possibly South America. Every country needs to do MUCH more effort.

    • @TheLeolee89
      @TheLeolee89 6 років тому +1

      Or reuse stuff.. Thailand excel in this too. South Asia & Southeast Asia country use a lot of coconut result in a lot of coconut husk and Thailand actually make it into charcoal (I know most would say charcoal = fossil fuel = pollution but since we couldn't really stop it for now, we might as well think of how to manage it properly).

      @princesscordelia226 4 роки тому

      @@svetlanikolova7673 but replacing plastic with paper is not a good solution. Because to make paper trees are cut. So in both cases there is an environmental impact at some point in their life cycle. So the best thing is finding a balance of the consumption of both of these and more importantly the waste management and recycling. Proper waste management is the best solution.

      Marcus Lobenstein well considering I'm sixteen years old there isn't much I can do in the way of manufacturing biodegradable resources. I've got time on my side but money is a big problem, since my parents won't let me work until I graduate. Either way, I bet I know more about what affects the environment than you do, cause I've spend the last three years of my high school life studying environmental sciences, taking college level chemistry and many other classes. I know how to produce plastics from green materials, and believe me if I could save the environment I would. I've written letters to my local government to use sustainable palm oil sources, reuse plastics and papers more efficiently, and how to do so cost effectively. Before you call someone out on the internet think a little. I'm sure even your small brain can do that.

    Its a start, the world has to start somewhere, we can use cellulose packaging instead. Use both and the product is enviromelly friendly

    Its possible the plastic wrap is made from biodegradable oils such as corn oil. Anyways, I`m happy to see someone making a difference in the environment.

      You can buy a menstrual cup! They last for many years and you can wear them longer than pads. And instead of throwing it away you can wash it out and reuse it. They also make cloth pads that you can wash and re-use. You can save a lot of money and plastic this way and it is better for your body since many pads use dangerous chemicals.
