Just so I understand with this conversion kit the only thing attached is the housing with the conversion tube filled with resin with housing screwed on. Nothing else internally in the housing correct? I will give this a try and see how it goes. Thanks for sharing!
Better yet, get the convertion tubes. Get rid of the cartridge units. Fill blue canisters full of media, keeping two inches lower than the top. Push your conversion dip tubes down the middle screw on the canister to the housing and do your rinse. Now, you will get more gallons of clean water before changing the media again.
Thanks for your comment... Make sure your Rubber gasket at top is not rolled or kinked. Also you may want to convert to larger diameter round gasket to ensure no leakage. But Look at the laser cut holes in tube at bottom, they may be too wide and you may have to exchange for new ones...
Thanks for your comment Daniel!! I will have to say quite honestly I haven't checked that part, but I am guessing about 5-6 times....I actually had to purchase some more resin and I will measure let you know....
@@DestinationsAtoZ Appreciate that! Not sure if I'd go through it fast enough to get the full 1.0. I'm not a detailer or using for business. Just want to keep my car clean and water spot free. Live in rural Indiana, on well water. Have a softener for the hard water, but it adds sodium that leaves white water spots on everything.
I can see how this helps you change the resin less but I dont think it saves money as you just use more resin as you are filling the total container rather than the cartridge?
Thanks for your comment Mark! We both are right on this.... Yes, you will change resin less, however, it improves the efficiency by giving more area for water flow and better water flow.... So both work out....
You're welcome! I don't have a system yet...my water is currently reading 84ppm and I was just wandering if I get this system how many washes you think I would get before I would have change the resin?
Omar....Got it.... Sorry... If you purchase one of these you would still get about 8-10 washes of a 45ft RV or between 40-60 washes of a Car..... But if you don't have one use the link to the description of video for the BEST DI Water system better the CR Spotless....
I bought one and am screwed.... I have well water and even after passing thru my home water softener i get 1200ppm at tap..... I was only able to get like 4 washes with a new unit :(
Thanks for your comment...! You should try it prior to passing through water softener....If yours is a salt water softener it will actually add contamination...
take the CR out of the equation and do a tds before and after the water softner.... 1200 is a WTF?!?!?!? if your 1200 after the softner check it pre softened.... I think ur using too much salt, but if it's tested pre and post.... you might need a new well
@@mmakam3 I checked the TDS on another well i had for sprinklers only and that one was only 400 TDS.... So ended up using that one.....I buy the resin bulk so it's cheaper, am getting like maybe 60 washes before I have to recycle it

Thanks for your comment...! Yes it's the only thing and makes the CR Spotless much more efficient....
@DestinationsAtoZ Thanks for verifying for me! Just found your channel and subscribed.
Thanks very much...!

Thanks for your comment...! The links for both are in the description of the video beside the RED DOT....
Thank you.
Thanks for your comment....! You are very welcome....!
where did you purchase the insert rods also best place to purchase resin
Thanks for your comments Lindy!! All of the links are provided in the Video Description for each of the things you ask...
Great video! How many of the blue canisters in the video does the 1 cubic foot bag of DI Resin fill after the conversion? Thanks in advance.

@@DestinationsAtoZ Thank you!
I have the CR Spotless DIC-20. How many cubic feet of resin does it take to properly fill the two blue housing containers?
Thanks for your comment!!!! It takes approximately .5 to fill both with the conversion....
@@DestinationsAtoZ Thanks for the fast reply! Looks like it's only sold by the cubic foot, so I guess I'll give that a shot. Appreciate the info!
Check on eBay as it's sold by .5 as well.... But I personally always buy 1.0 as it's usually cheaper as I know I will use it....
Here's where I got my last.... www.servapure.com Super quick and reasonable...

I have the apec brand. Looks like the cr spotless kind of a knock off from home depot. Do you know if this will work on the apec?
Thanks for your comment...! I believe it will work with no problems....
Thank you very much!
@@chascline8024 You are very welcome....
Just purchased the apec csw-300, about how many rinses did you get out of the factory filters ?
@scottohms2799 I have used it 5-6 times for window cleaning jobs and I'm still at 0ppm.
So the resins only last a year
Thanks for your question. The resin lasting depends upon your usage....not time....
Great mod!
Thanks for ;your comment...! Definitely makes last longer....

If my water is 84ppm. How many washes could I get out of these?
Thanks for your comment Omar! If your TDS meter is reading 84 then you need to change your resin.... I change mine between 10-15....
