I want to play with my own units but it really takes a while. So lets be patient and pray they dont just send it or we will just hate the game. No hate just sayin. What i want is the power to code your own moves and weapon actions. Hahaha
That latter is great idea, akin to what Kira Yamato did to the Strike Gundam in Seed. But that could potentially open up gaming exploits (I'm not even talking about full-on cheats). I used to play lots of Quake 3 (and mods) and that engine had rudimentary scripting language for client and server side. In it, I had made some scripts with weapons that you normally couldn't do. Stuff like shooting weapons in semi-automatic mode that fires quicker than in full automatic mode.

I noticed the same thing with the new Gundam Seed promotional materials/models-everyone is a "critic" these days(they're not) and have such entitlement, they no longer find it odd that they themselves will comment on something they have no power to truly influence, or even adequately weigh-in on from a place of authority. If they think that their goldfish brained audiences are listening to what they say for longer than 2.2 seconds, or even retaining it as an actual opinion of their own lool. It’s possible that for now they’re focusing more on the gunpla body than they are of adjusting the thrusters, I say that cause the thruster animation looks really basic and rather low quality wise compared to thruster animations from other gundam games. Once they get the main attraction of the build VR refined and proper they’ll probably adjust the thrusters and weapons to how they should work.
Who tf is buying the already expensive Strike Freedom at an even more expensive markup? Someone with a lot of money and a love of SEED. I don't even need to ask.
With how advanced AI image generation and interpretation is becoming, I have no doubts that the Gunpla scan will become viable without needing manual adjustments within the next 2-5 years.
I look forward to them mastering this tech cause right now I think they need work as well but it's still a work in progress an this is just the beginning
imo the next step of Gunpla Battle should be accessory and effect adjustments, maybe implement more software tech that results in higher quality texturing on the 3D model?
Even GameFreak with all their resources won't bother to adjust laser attacks positions for each of the pokemon, be it from mouth, tail, or blastoise canons, etc. Let alone some random gundam game which will be shut down after a year or so anyway. Don't expect any improvements. MGEX Freedom black chines edition is ridiculous. Just get the regular one and spray paint it.
I just hope that the combat and the models of the MOBILE SUITS are fluid enough to look like a proper fight Any other expectations will inevitably end in disappointment

RG whether its regular release or pbandai has just been killing it for me this year. Iv bought more RG kits in the last 3 years than I have any other new release kit line. That Age Tri I was about to excited for as I thoought we were getting a MG version of it lol. its cool that its selling for a release so thats promising
I'm sorry this won't work in real life. We don't have special particles for gunpla to use... The reason why it worked in the anime is because *ITS AN ANIME* They're better off just making a Gundam breaker 4 geared towards pvp with a huge update of parts and skills, or something... But that also requires Bandai namco to actually *TRY and update as well as do bug testing, and iron out glitches. Which we all know they won't, aka Cough COUGH Gundam evolution COUGH!!!*

But I would leave the shiny gold inner frame as is. It will look much better this way.

To be honest, I never liked any of the Build series anime/manga (but I love the kits) but at least watched all the Builds series episodes. Somehow Ep1 of Build metaverse made me gave up watching it halfway. I have never gave up watching any episode from any series starting from the 1979 anime till today. I just can't stomach watching Ep.1 until the end. It's uses the usual Build series formula, but with usual fanservice and blatant advertising/product placement cranked up to eleven.
A straight up scan of the gunpla isn't that good of an idea in the long run. Bandai should scan every individual limb section, part, weapon, and accessory in their catalog, pre-rig the different type of base body segment, then use AI to identify which part is scanned then apply the part to the digital version, after that, apply the texture that is scanned. So instead of having a low-ish resolution scan of the actual gunpla, they would have a HD high poly model instead. Only when parts can't be identify should the actual 3D scan be used.
That gunpla battle game would do so well if they have all the parts of every gunpla added into the program with preset animations for each weapon, transforming part, thruster in a data base with an AI that further analyzes the scanned gunpla and then identifies which parts are used to more accurately combine them and generate the 3d model and attached animations per part to the final usable gunpla. Granted this won't be too good at identifying gunpla with custom 3d printed parts or cut up and combined parts sometimes done by more advanced kitbashers but for un modified parts combination it should be doable. it would also be great if they have every skeletal posture in any gunpla made added so slighty different gunpla can function like zgok base ones with more noodly arms and centaur type ones or the ones that transform into mobile armors or combine like Arios and the megazord looking gunpla from the build fighters series.

I am not sure why they think it would be a great idea to paint the MGEX Strike Freedom black and Jack up the price 4 folds. It completely make all the part separation and the photo-etched sheet of the original kit obsolete. What make the original kits great is the different Color used on the kit, we have different types of white, black to highlight the details. When you pose him, the gold color of the inner frame slipped through the joints, make it extremely gorgeous. Now making everything black is just plain stupid and lame.
It's interesting to get all the news. But just saying can you cover 30 minute mission stuff. I mean I understand the news is about Gundam but come on it's bandai also.
I guess the concern for this test was just to see how well the implementation of the scanner fared, which to be fair was the better part. I imagine the next test will focus on making the movement of the models better. Also it wouldn't hurt for the scans to be longer/more complicated in general, it's not like people are going to scan them at bulk. It would be a better idea even to have a giant physical station, where you could take your Gunpla and scan it to the maximum quality possible, save that data, and then use it in the compatible applications.
Wow, that Ensemble wave went from "I will order this because I want everything in it" to an easy pass. Risibg Freedom and Immortal Justice are so boring but at least the kits look fun. As static figures they look awful.

Everything else looks pretty good but.....a 500 dollar all black Strike Freedom model kit are you kidding me and a P bandai Suletta figure!? Jesus that is a lot but at least some of the stuff on display is good, although that one game still looks super off to me.
I think road to gunpla battle can make use of AI (if they're not using it already). AI can identify the components of the mode (base model/s used)l and automatically assign stats, move sets, etc for that model. So a very customized model would have custom stats. Let's say if you really work on your model, painted it like a battle scarred/hardened veteran, then the model can have better stats. Also, AI might be able to even help with generation of animation.
