Just like to add that it's worth getting this set over the modular tray set/system. The ratchets in the 150 and 200pc sets have 100 teeth compared to the 45 teeth set in the modular tray sets. This makes a massive difference when working on stuff.
@@KarlGosling I did an alternator belt with the 45 tooth ratchet wishing it was a bit slimer and had more teeth. I'm now going to get this set as it's compact and looks like it has most of the stuff I will need.
Great review very informative. After watching I ordered mine on 28/04/2020, from Halfords eBay shop who are still selling it for £120.00 + free shipping, and it was delivered on 29/04/2020. Like a fool on opening the lid of the case, I dropped it and most of the bits fell out. But due to your video, I was able to put everything back where it's should be. This toolset is well worth the discounted price of £120.00. Also should keep my new 2020 - VESPA GTS SUPERSPORT 300 HPE , Happy 😊😊😊. Thanks
Hi Karl, came across this video whilst searching for exactly this. Good video. I am a bit of a newbie to this stuff but learning bits as i go along. I wanted to if this is good for a brake job and obviously other car bits. Like the hex key bolts when removing the brakes. Thanks again
Hi Karl, thank you for review. It’s very informative. I am thinking of buying a set for DIY maintenance for my Japanese cars. It gets too complicated with AF, SAE and drive metric terminology. Is this set suitable for Toyota?
SAE is AF society of automotive engineers AF across flats. Both are in imperial. There are some sizes match as 3/4 inch and 19mm are interchangeable. Toyota's will be predominantly metric. This set will have most of what you need as it will be mainly metric with a decent selection of AF/SAE/Imperial stuff also.

It's a great all round tool kit mate yes.
Thanks Karl👍🏽
Hi, I know this is probably a silly question but is there a way to put the torx bits onto a ratchet instead of the screwdriver please?
Yes, just use the appropriate fitting.
Great video mate, will have to grab one of these can't argue with a tool set for life at only £120.
Exactly my thoughts mate! 😃
It's definitely nice having all your tools in one neat package, instead of racing around your garage trying to find the right tools lol.
Definitely!

Excellent! :)
Nice one, thanks for taking the time to make this review.
No worries!
never heard of halford. are they known for high quality and not using toxic materials to make their tools?
Haldfords are a UK store and the socket sets are very high quality for what you pay.
The will last a very long time even if you are a mechanic
i was just about to pay £190 for this...think ill wait for a sale
The come up fairly regularly I find.
@@KarlGosling I got the 175pc halfords advance socket set. Was it worth it for £200 over the 150pc
Your misses will complain on your length. 🤣🤣
