Must have had the bahco set for around 17-18 years still a go to, no signs of rust or wear really unlike a lot of the wera bit sets I've bought over the years which show rust within a year
I've got a britool set that cost me 144 quid nearly 30 years ago. I've also got a teng set I've had for years. But here is the joke, aldi 1/4 set, up to 14mm proper socket type hex bits and screw drivers. 3 year warranty fir 14 quid. It's had loads of use and is about 8 years old now an nothing has broken!
I've got some very old snap-on rachets and sockets that I brought second hand about 15yrs ago. They were old when I got them and they are all perfect fine! I have some britool stuff that's getting on a bit which is also held up well.
Them teng rachets are fantastic, when teng first came out I bought a 1/2 drive 'plastic' and its still working fine, even got lost in the yard once an was run over by 44ton artics, had some marks that needed cleaning but it still works!
I have a Bahco set. Nice to use, seems decent quality and mine has both deep and normal sockets. Suits me with 95% of the work being on bikes. I also have a Draper Expert ratchet and a set of deep Blue Point 1/4" drive sockets and they have taken a lot of abuse - only problen with the Draper Ratchet is how easy it is to flip the direction of the ratchet by mistake when using it.
I have 4 ratchet sets because I have a tool fetish and I always carry a mini ratchet in my pocket... Not for any job but to fidget with because the sound and feel of it relaxes me. Yes weird but I know I'm not the only one.
I have the BERGEN Socket Set 46pc 1/4" Drive Tool Set With Ratchet Torx Hex UJ Adaptor PZ2,US made and cheap in price,I have had no problems with all the contents, the plastic red box I'm afraid the hinge has cracked half way along it.The ratchet has a locking device to keep what you attach to it & to release it you push the button to release the item.
@@MachineryNation they don't seem to have it on the US side of the pond, it'd cost me almost $150 US just to by it on ebay and ship from UK. Oh well nice set though.
Domestic user here 🙋🏻♂ I can see James waiting for the Mrs. to get out of the shower just a spinning your ratchet such a defiant 😆 C'mon who don't like Milwaukee ? Hi to Norm 🫣
so with the wera zyklop you get a nice kit but its £80 4x some of the others its also 6cm longer and 1cm widder than the draper kit which maybe a factor under a motorbike seat. between draper and bahco the are the same size front to back same height but bahco is 2cm longer at 16.5cm. The printed sizes are nice and the bahco gets rave reviews so i would go with the bachco also you can fit a small 13.5cm rolson magnet pickup tool in the bahco i would consider also adding a pen torch if it will fit. The sealy is the same length as the bahco but 1cm wider and 2cm thicker at 5cm its a cute kit if you have space and the driver and flexible joint and short extension makes it ideal for a all in one kit but its double the price of the bacho. for motorbikes i would go with the bahco i dont need the driver. For a toolbag i would already have other screw drivers so i would still go bahco
@@MachineryNation It's a US brand but a lot of the tools are also distributed by other brands. For instance the Facom R1Pico and the Icon locking flex head bit ratchet come from the same OEM.
Bahco is owned by Snap On . Sealey is overrated. Tents good but cheap looking and rough finish. Draper good but simple Halfords not bad but has a stigma over its name. Shame these guys have no idea how to test or know about fools. Guys go watch Project Farm learn how to review properly!!!
I used them professionally and have the older set before the Circlip designe head. And they where all great except fro the 1/4 inch ratchet contacntly failed as well as the new replacements I’ve been given, to the point there’s a back order on them at my local Halfords guessing everyone’s breaking them.
Of those, the thing that would push me to the Milwaukee is I don't like plastic handles on ratchets, I prefer the easily cleanable ones. I've used the Bahco set (and the smaller bit ratchet one) a lot and it's fine. The bit ratchet it definitely the best quality vs price balance of all the ones on the market. I have recently swapped to the Facom R1Pico and it's lovely, albeit I've had to rob some bits out of the Bahco set!
Cheers mates!!! I have a few of the brands featured in your video (Bahco, Milwaukee, etc) which have proven their usefulness in a multitude of applications. If you're interested in seeing a proper DIY (domestic) tool setup, consider checking out my channel on UA-cam.
It's good to know about alternatives that offer better value for money. Quality is crucial when it comes to tools, and it sounds like you've found some cost-effective options. What brands or specific tools do you think provide better quality at a more reasonable price compared to Teng Tools? Sharing your insights could be valuable for others looking for reliable tools without breaking the bank.
It was less than 4 feet, he jumps out the tractor by himself and even higher from other things. We have a roof that is about 5 feet and he jumps off that himself all the time 👍🏼
I have had that bahco socket set for around 10 years. It’s been awesome. It cost about £38 back then so is one thing that’s gone down :)
I will never use anything except Bahco, theyve SERIOUSLY won me over with their socket sets

I loved the humour in this video, so much more entertaining than most tool review sites!

How about a tool chest review I'm considering a halfords advanced one
Oooo maybe! Great shout 🥳
Don't bother get far better now days sealey colour range is amazing purple orange and green I have the hi vis green one
Been buying Halfords tools for years now expensive but really good value and the no quibble guarantee is bad to beat
Those square sockets are a game changer! They should just make all 10mm sockets square everywhere!
I've got some very old snap-on rachets and sockets that I brought second hand about 15yrs ago. They were old when I got them and they are all perfect fine! I have some britool stuff that's getting on a bit which is also held up well.
That’s awesome Joshua, we were checking out some Britool stuff the other day.
Should have got the wera tool check set too (or the 1/4 zyclop set to be fair), amazing little set I use for in my bike bag
Bahco stuff is awesome. Got a load of Facom, Bahco some gearwrench and halfords pro, all great stuff.
Bacho is under snap on now thought it would be better now but I can't stand the crap stuff facom is well better
That’s a great idea from Milwaukee, no more lost 10mm sockets 😁 Norman rocks
Love the idea too 🤩 he was fought throwing rocks once but that is about it 😂

That’s cool, good stuff indeed 🤩
I have the bacho, and it's great, but sometimes it gets stuck and I need to tap it on the floor.
No toptul? I have the equivalent in Toptul and I’m very happy with it.

which tool set is your favorite?
The Bahco is good. I do wonder if the hinge will break at some point after 3 years it’s ok.
Bahco is owned by snap-on
Bahco = bluepoint quality
1:bahco
2:teng
3: halfords( for their warranty)
4: milfaquee
Draper , sealey is cheap chinesium

I want one that holds my small bits without the need of an adaptor?
i have Bahco set yes lid closed a lot and i have Draper plus i have lot of little set of tools for my electronics
Nice Sparky 🤩
I like the bahco set. I will be buying one real soon. Great review people.
It is a nice little set Neil. The like for these are in the description 👍🏼
Your link to the Milwaukee is currently unavailable.😕
Try it again, it works in the UK as someone just bought one 🤩

Thanks Darren. Sometimes that is all you need 🤩
I got the Bahco set as a freebe from Bahco to try out. Love it !
Milwaukee shows unavailable on Amazon. Can’t find it in the US
Probably because It's a Chinese company pretending to be an American one so all the stock is in China still 😂
You should review blue spot tools too. Lifetime and flippin good
Best flare wrench set
It's not the size that counts, it's the way you use them. but i do like the Milwaukee
Haha. Smart set hey Nev 🤩
that sealey set is the same as my facom set that cost me over a onner a few years back.
You can’t compare the quality if facon to sealy. Facom is worth every penny and is the best on the list

HAH ! I bought the EXACT Sealey set branded as Hogert Technincs with a lifetime warranty
Yes it's on amazon for about 30 quid.
Got bahco I retired them the forward backward selector comes loose and the action is poor compared to mac tools or halfords
The bahco 1/4 socket set had a lot of loose Play when you attached the socket to the bahco ratchet. The fit was very sloppy.
the orange ratchets sound like a couple of frogs 🤣
🐸🐸 Hahaha
Where's the 2024 updated video?

Wera is the most overrated and overmarketed shite I ever sat eyes on
Teng always overpriced for what they are, Halfords best , their lifetime warranty by far the best. Sealey best left alone .

But if it's a quarter inch, don't you just need one socket?!
Quarter inch is the size of the square bit on the ratchet, extensions and wrong end of the socket.
Meanwhile we can't get any of these in the states besides Milwaukee.
