Found a deal way too hard to believe on marketplace just now and was about to go through it. However, too many red flags; most of all was the plastic sealing over the entire product. I couldn't find anywhere that showed a clear plastic seal. Thanks for reassurance with the video!

@@komorebi.2136 if you search for sony xm5 and find anything less than rm900.. You can bet that's it's fake... Usually these stores will be new... And also you will see a number of repeated sales... Last time, i bought it purposefully knowing it was fake and then claimed the 5x lazmall promise 🤣

Just bought these about a month ago, just received them and instantly noticed that the Sony text on the top was off, the packaging was weird and the earbuds are way heavier than the original.
The light inside them are horrible, it goes straight into your eye if viewed from the wrong/right angle.

Thank You Aaron for this very informative video. About a half a year ago, I‘ve been cheated, with unfortunately a pretty good knockoff from the AirPods Pro 2 even the serial numbers were real from Apple.
Aliexpress sold them to me, and many of the features actually worked, but the weight didn’t fit and when I‘ve tried to update to the latest firmware update, it just did not work.
Regarding Your FAKE Sony‘s, they are so stupid, apart from the way to big letters, they really wrote (2:40) Original Biended Material instead of Blended Material on the back side of the case.

DO NOT BUY XM5.I just bought the xm5 and returned them with WITH 10 MINS. the earbuds burn my ear and are extremely uncomfortable. Sound is meh compared to samsung

I think my Sony WF XM5s from Amazon for full price are fake because they no longer work in stereo mode and I cannot find fix for this

People should be careful when also online purchasing at a retail store like Target or Best Buy. Today, 7/29/2024, I ordered the Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds but noticed everything was fake with and the earbuds came with the original carton box.

I was willing to look over all the shortcomings until you demonstrated the sound. I was hoping it would be bright and lean as many budget IEMs are tuned which may be more favourable to those who think Sonys are tuned too warm.

Almost none of the manufacturers offer a serial number check on their websites or any other way of authenticity check in the first place so it's kinda self-inflicted as well. That way first victims can confirm fake and worn others to stay away from it. First thing in my review about products I buy on sites like AliExpress, Banggood etc. is if they are original or not so others know.

No they can't. When I scan the fake QR code on the box or enter their fake serial number I'll get nothing, clearly indicating a fake. They can get db of used serial numbers that's true BUT they will show as already used when I check it, again indicating a fake.

Just got ripped off on Amazon 2 times already wi-xb400. Sony. Box now I see on UA-cam has colors on box. Mine was black and white. Very bassy vocals not clear. I have bought 2 sets at best buy before so I can tell. Sounds is horrible!!!!! I hope Amazon can refund me!!! Also bought Airhood range for 179.00. Also bought on Amazon.
