You'll see that in most games nowadays, a grappler will have little to no movement, no combo routes and no safe wakeup option bar without spending some kind of resource, but people will still try to make grapplers look bad. "oMg LoOk At HiS dAmAgE tHo" or "wOw LoOk At HiS nOrMaLs HoW dO yOu EvEn PlAy NeUtRal" or "wHaT iS tHaT cOmMaNd GrAb RaNgE hOw Is ThAt FaIr" are some of the most common things you'll hear, but yes, grapplers USUALLY are bad.
