It's interesting how much their on camera personas changed between 1975 and 1979. The Cuckoos Nest review sounds like a normal conversation between film critics. I imagine as the show's audience grew, production became more involved in "punching up" the dialogue to make it more emotive and argumentative.
Enjoying these director centric compilations. If you do requests, I would like to see Paul Verhoeven. I'm sure their weird takes will be great on movies such as Robocop, Showgirls, Basic Instinct, Starship Troopers, and Total Recall.
Thanks for making these. I really love the early reviews, this one is really hard to hear, as some of the older ones are. Not sure what the ultimate goal of this channel is but like AI stabilized audio / video would be awesome
Seeing the guys at their TV beginnings reviewing 'Cuckoo's Nest' is hilarious in the context of what was to come as their format found its true voice. They are employing ASMR NPR voices.
Really loving these compilations, thanks for making them

Love these 'DEEP in the '70s' era Siskel & Ebert reviews, so wonderful!

These compilations are fantastic, thank you!
Cuckoo's Nest's ending always chokes me up.
Omg, the 1975 review of one flew over the cuckoos nest. Like their first review... They were so young.
My god look at siskels shirt in the first review Saturday night geography teacher

Ragtime was epic and beautiful!
Its all but lost to history these days - you never see it playing anywhere🤷
Paramount released a fine blu-ray of Ragtime not too long ago in their Paramount Presents line.
Nice 'stache!
Siskel was rockin' the porn 'stache.
Did Ebert mention that Forman is from Czechoslovakia?
Yes

First episode I ever watched with them was a review on Pink Flamingos and Dawn of the Dead.
