He failed to mention it comes standard w/ not one, but SIX skid plates underneath. The Rock Sliders (Rails) are actually optional. The standard Paddle Shifters linked to the 8-speed Transmission are the bomb, especially during long winding mountain passes, w/ very smooth shifting. Really enjoying mine after 4600+ miles so far. This is an extreme value considering all the bells and whistles for this price point fully loaded. The bucket seat style is also based of the SRT Grand Cherokee, very grippy.
Six? The Jeep site says four. How do you get six? I was also going to mention the seats. None of these UA-cam reviews mentions that this is the only way to get the SRT's superior seats short of buying an SRT. Also, he says the 4WD system can send up 100% of the torque to any wheel. Not true up front where there is no LSD. I'm close to a purchase, but want 5.7. (Will have to get a hair dryer to remove that hood decal:)
Peter Simon Kim... It's been a year since your post, so I was curious if you still like your Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk? I've considered buying one but I'm very leery of Jeep's poor reliability history. Care to comment?
I bought one a few months ago. I absolutely love it. Great overland vehicle and I've gotten it dirty/sandy quite a bit. Great blend between capabilities of a Wrangler and comfort and safety of a GC.
You don't need the 5.7 until you do.... I have the 5.7 overland and that extra horsepower has come through more than you would ever imagine. Don't get the v6
Urban Outdoorsman I have Ram 1500 single can short box and I carry about 1200 pounds in tools and equipment and it hauls ass. And also gas efficiency. Si don’t mislead people.
Urban Outdoorsman...What type of fuel economy does the 5.7 get? I do like the idea of a V8 but it's a few thousand more up front and then I wonder about the gas mileage.
Inaccuracies: no rear tow hook, in fact the trailer hitch now comes with every off-road package on GC, including TH, for some reason and this eliminates the rear hook. Also, it can't send traction to any wheel: there is no front LSD.
When it comes to customize my grand Cherokee I'm ripping off ever badge and tow hooks and powder coating everything no red...and not putting that lame ass "trail rated" badge back on. It's a Jeep people get it
Just not true. The interior does have some plastic bits, but overall, it's surprisingly nice inside. Also, I recently drove a Merc GLC and was surprised at all the plastic in that. Do a little more research.

Jealous of your GCT, great looking JEEP. Does it have a rear diff locker like the Cherokee Trailhawk?

dalewood38 I bought one earlier this year and I love it! Not many people have these where I live.
did he just say “you don’t need it” for the v8?
Just waiting to collect our 2018 version, plain jane UK spec, standard Trailhawk. I'll miss our 2014 GC but time for a change.
there are NOT red rear tow hooks... at least I don't see them on mine lol
I want this so badly

I have all of that too and it is on a limited!!!!
different suspension and off road system all together. the trailhawk is on a whole other planet. but the limited is very nice non the less

And when I custom wrap it. I'm doing a different black hood
Good points👍
I just wish GC's had a little more cargo space. It's pretty small.
Wrap may or may not happen..but the badges and tow hooks will be powder coated . Hate red trim on any car

Test drive? Where?
plastic, cheap, low quality. disappointed in jeep.
...then ya better not look at Mercedes, plenty of plastic crap up in der.
Justin Bouche not true. That's ford
