      haha, that's actually a live edge cedar board wall that I built... but yea, looks like a big pallet I guess. It blocks out the neighbors and the wind. And those are fancy garden patio lights fyi, haha.

    my garage is under the house it rarely goes below 45 degrees ( I live in West Virginia ) I have it insulated with 1 inch styrofoam covered with quarter inch plywood I had a 220 volt plug in heater but it used more electric than it was worth ... so I bundle up put on gloves and work harder when its cold ... thanks for posting love you channel

      Thanks Alvin! try a heat gun for the bar, j tell you it's amazing. You can always use a hairdryer..... but my wife didn't like that idea too much. don't ask

    Cool vid. Tip for you - keep your barbell inside when not in use. Perhaps just on the floor behind your wood stove.

    The editing has gotten better and funnier. Glad I subbed 😎 Also I dig the cage color. Probably gonna have a local firm make mine yellow too once I get one.

    Great suggestion with the heat gun! It’s been around 0°F here lately and it gets the barbell where it doesn’t freeze your hand to the touch!

      Awesome! Glad it helped out. It's my favorite trick for a cold garage gym. You can dress for everything else.

    Great vid. I got a mini split installed in mine garage gym. It has a power saving mode that keeps the temp at 10 C and then bump it up to 16 C when I’m in there.
    I also got the mr buddy that I use to warm up the bars. I set the pins low so the bar is just above it to warm up the bar.

      Nice! Mini Split is def the way to go if you have the funds. Nice for the AC in the summer too I'm sure. Thanks for the sub! Appreciate it.

    I’m in Dallas. We get cold about now for like a day or two lol. I think the heat gun is about all a need. Thanks for mentioning that. I never considered it. I do want to get a propane tank so on really bad days I can run a tank top or something.

    Won't need any heating since my home gym is inside the house 😎 But if I did need one I'd use an electric heating fan. Own one since I had a cold uni apartment. 😆
    Never noticed your barbell was black 🤔

    • @BarbellSanctuary
      @BarbellSanctuary  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, it's the Bells Of Steel standard Barbell. Not sure if they still make it black or not? My gym used to be in the house, was much warmer back then. But I do enjoy the high garage ceilings!
